I called and…read moreI explained that my son's primary insurance does not cover speech(I had previously used full circle and that is when I became aware of my insurance not covering speech...I paid full circle what they owed as they billed correctly) I heard that they took Medi-Cal Health and Wellness, I was told yes buy only a certain one, they would check his to see...they did and it was the one they took. I was told they would need a referral from my pediatrician, I called my pedtrician and they 1st sent me a referral to full circle, I called them and told them I needed it for Chico speech and Language because as I had told the Dr. my primary does not cover speech for Autism. When I sent my insurance cards over I reminded them again that my son's primary insurance does not cover speech. We had his evaluation September 2019 and started speech weekly October 2019-mid January 2020. Sarah was the person who actually did the speech and she was great with my son. Mid January I was told that they will not see him till they start getting payments. Monica informed me that they never got a authorization from Medi-cal which they needed to be able to bill the services. I was also informed on a later date that they now have authorization but starting in December, so they were going to change the dates of service so they could get paid. I called medi-Cal in June when I was sent a bill for all the services, I was informed that the dates on the primary EOB (which was a denial but had to be billed in order to bill 2ndry) do not match the dates being billed to them. I wrote a letter and left a voice mail telling Chico speech if they were going to change the dates of service they would have to re bill the primary so the dates would match (which is illegal to change dates of service)They did this, and are now billing me again, and trying to get me to pay because they are a small bushiness and "its the right thing to do". I called Paula the owner who left that message on my phone, I did yell at her when she tried to cut me off, when I wasn't done speaking. I told her how I choose them specifically because they took medi-cal and how I informed them my primary wouldn't cover services twice, she told me "No, we would have seen you if that was the case" I called Medi-Cal again in hopes that maybe I could just send the primary EOBs for them and get them paid, but when I called it was discovered that the billed amounts also don't match the primary EOB( everything has to perfectly matched in order for the claim to be processed and paid). I would gladly pay the bill if the insurance had been billed correctly and they would do their job correctly in regards to billing. It isn't the right thing to do, to pay a bill that isn't my responsibility....in fact doing the right thing is them actually taking the time to bill it correctly or see exactly where the error is. FYI, I did hospital billing for 8 years before I decided to stay at home with my son, so I know a thing or two about billing and what needs to be done and what is legal and illegal. My suggestion to Paula is to have Monica trained better, or fire her and get someone who is trained better (the 1st option I feel would be the best)

The speech pathologist came to our house and now my son sees her in her office. She is great and sees him in the summer when he has no speech during the summer at school. They stopped about a year ago taking medi-cal.

I have had my children (boys 2 & 3 years old) at Little Discoveries (LD) over a year. I wanted to…read moremake sure I made it through the honeymoon period and through some challenges before I posted such an important review. Any parent would agree: nothing is more important than our children. I can safely say, now, with well over a year (closer to two?) at LD on Creative Lane that this IS the BEST preschool in town. I toured many others and my first son attended another one before schooling at LD. I've never been happier for the switch. About my family: I'm a nurse who works 7am-730pm (long hours that start early) and my eldest boy is on the spectrum. My husband owns a local business so he often works long hours as well. This preschool not only accommodates our crazy early schedules and long days, but the manager, Lacy, and owner, Rhonda, constantly go above and beyond to accommodate my son's special needs. Autism was not something familiar to my family when I enrolled my kiddo in preschool. It was something we learned a LOT about in a short period of time and, of course, that period of time was during preschool years. Lacy and her staff worked diligently and with SO MUCH LOVE to make sure my son could stay in a social setting and still have all of his needs met. They filed extra paperwork, have meetings, allow his intense therapy schedules, take feedback, and communicate 100% any time something was a concern or needed attention. That respect and safety is not something that's usually felt by ASD parents. Many ASD parents homeschool or leave kiddos with family because they don't trust anyone else. I feel so honored and lucky to say that is NOT the case for my family. I trust the LD staff to always care for and love my children as if they were their own. Any issue I've ever mentioned has been immediately met with constructive feedback and genuine concern. I've never felt like my kids have been targeted for my continuous questions or special needs. Lacy, the manager, is a mom and a darn good one. She runs the school like it's her baby. And, in fact, her baby attends the school. That alone told me the care would be excellent. It's one thing to have a removed manager, it's another to have one who's onsite all day and has her own precious family attending. If something doesn't work out for kids, Lacy is the first to come up with clever solutions or make changes to help the kids succeed. LD has cameras that work all the time, too. Parents can watch their kids when they're away. So, it helps keep those of us feeling guilty about time spent apart involved as much as possible. If there's ever a question about the kiddos' day, there's video evidence to reference. The camera system is secure and locked down so only parents have access. I actually thought I'd watch the cameras a lot more but I find that I feel so confident in my kids' care that I don't stalk the cameras much anymore. The preschool is clean and safe. There's all kinds of fun, new equipment and toys. They have their own chef who makes quality, healthy food for kids and they all sit to eat like a big family. The school structure is conducive to learning (and fun!) without impeding autonomy and independence. And everyone gets to play outside on one of the different playgrounds! At this point, my family has had about half the staff babysit at our home. We trust and love the girls who teach the kids like our own family. I am constantly amazed by how patient these girls have been with my and others' children. I cannot imagine a more stressful job: lots of fragile, needy little people, demanding parents, and 100% of every move on camera. And yet, they are always peaceful and full of love for our babies. There's never a time children are left to cry. Every. Single. Time. I've seen a kiddo cry on camera, they rush to help them. This was a HUGE deal to me as another local school practices the cry-it-out method (which some countries might consider child neglect). The girls rock the kiddos and sing to them, holding them with so much love. They instinctually snuggle the kiddos and land kisses on their heads in exactly the way I would. That kind of love and attention is what I desperately wanted to make sure my babies didn't miss out on while I work. I am SO glad they get that love all day! The memories these girls have are incredible, too. They remember every allergy, which kid is allowed juice (or not), every specific nap time, each jacket and new pair of shoes the kids wear in and out, etc. It's incredible. Everything is organized and laid out for consistently great care. They work on potty training, critical thinking skills, art, reading, and more. I could not be more impressed with (or grateful for) such outstanding care. Rhonda, the owner, has some incredible preschools. This one is my favorite. Lacy and her LD staff are phenomenal. It all comes down to love and caring, in this and so many ways, Creative Ln staff are undoubtedly the best. Thank you LD!!

This review Is long overdue, but I cannot overstate the…read moreprogress that my toddlers have made here at Little Treasures. My daughter was 2 years old when she started but very behind with speech due to isolation from the lockdowns/mandates. This Preschool has performed wonders as she is now talking up a storm and singing her heart out with all the adorable songs they learn. She even teaches them to her baby brother at home! It is literally the most heart-warming experience to see my babies suddenly singing in unison. Aside from education (she can count to 30 now), she has developed super close friendships here and social skills at such a young age! My baby boy was 10 months old when he started. I felt completely secure with him at Little Treasures right away, as the child care is top-notch. I do not exaggerate when I say these teachers are truly loving and genuine, not to mention experienced. Every single one of them. Miss Michelle really knows how to find the good ones. Also, Director and Teachers alike have impeccable memory and organization. That's big for me since I'm very detail-oriented! It's been wonderful being able to depend on this daycare/Preschool. P.S. I watched as Miss Michelle put her heart and soul into this new location, perfectly planning all the different stations that intertwine learning with play. Also, the outdoor playground is akin to an amusement park as my daughter is always begging to stay. You know it's a good sign when your children race to put their own shoes on, ready to go to Preschool! Thank you Little Treasures for being such a special place in our children's lives

I've seen Growth in his development and growth in his personality. The teachers are the kindest people I've ever got to know and work so great with the kids. The curriculum is set and consistent and it shows when my 2 year old comes home singing the songs he'd leaned! He's singing the days of the week and counting to 20! My kid delayed in speech and Michelle was the only person to support and guide me to give my son the help he needs to communicate better and develop better speech. The teachers also helped him with regulating his emotions through helpful communication and now he uses more words than I expected him to use. I'm proud of my son of who he's growing into because of the dedicated support from all the teachers. I trust these teachers with my son's life and I couldn't ask for a better family to help me support my son.

I put my name on a wait list. 20 min later, I noticed many people had returned their skate assists. There were probably 6 of them behind the desk. I probably asked 5x or more if it was our turn on the wait list, every time I was told no. At one point the girl said "you're welcome to walk around out there with your own child" I have a hurt shoulder and a prosthetic hip, otherwise I would've :( Long story short, my son sat on the bench next to the skate rentals, waiting for his turn on the wait list, fighting back tears. In the 45+ min we waited, no one from the wait list ahead of us collected a single skate trainer. And we were repeatedly told we couldn't use one. I definitely understand waiting our turn, but when no one ahead is coming to collect them..... The guy at the skate rental place when we first arrived was super nice tho! But the girls I wasn't impressed with.
