The clerk argued with me and stated other retail stores would agree with their position. I stated to the contrary, I too was a former store owner and if this situation was in my store I would have to give the customer the lower ticketed price. The clerk stated (in front of another customer I might add) "I rest my case." You USE to own a store. Before exiting the store I stated "it was a shame that they were willing to lose a repeat customer over a dollar!" To add insult to injury, the clerk degraded a customer in front of another customer. They're hard to find, and he's very patient about answering questions. I walked into Vet Pets in a panic -- I was raising European Starlings and wasn't sure what kind of vitamins to give them and needed some diet questions answered. A nice woman working there took the time to ask Dr. Hannon a couple of questions for me and he answered them at no charge. I thought that was pretty nice, and he really put my mind at ease. I called to schedule a visit with him with the birds and it was again related to diet. The woman on the phone told me that the Dr. will attempt to answer simple questions over the phone when possible and they put me in touch with a wildlife rehabber. He answered my questions within a couple of days and that saved me a trip and again put my mind at ease. That's a sign of a vet who is doing this because he cares and genuinely wants to help. My first experience wasn't quite as good with the rabbit, because Dr. Hannon was out, and I saw someone else, but it wasn't awful. They carry a good selection of supplies for exotic pets and have late/Saturday appointments.
