(I would probably still give their clothing, shoes and accessories 3 stars--it's hit or miss.) They've started carrying a bunch of organic and hard-to-find food items that I've been on the hunt for. They also have k-cups and fair trade coffee - wow, color me impressed. Since I cook at home 90% of the time now, I want to start buying some new cookware and kitchen items. They have some really cool items that are on my list including a salad spinner, bamboo utensils, a wok and even a few things that I didn't know that I needed, like the handy dandy avocado keeper. It will seal your half used avocado so it doesn't turn brown. If you're looking to update your kitchenware or wanting to explore some new food items, I would recommend checking Marshalls out first. Their prices can't be beat and you might be surprised at what you find here!

Maurice's is a trendy boutique that has juniors and plus size clothing, as well as accessories, jewelry and shoes. The selection is limited in comparison to other stores, but they always have a lot of things that I like and I usually walk out with at least 1-2 items, usually dresses. The only reason that everything in my closet isn't Maurice's is because of the prices. Some of the stuff is too expensive for a cheapskate like myself, but they do have a lot of great sales. They also carry Silver brand jeans which are probably the greatest brand of women's jeans ever made.

Today I went into Kohl's for reason B. I got a $10 coupon off any purchase in the mail and I wanted to use it before I forgot about it and it expired. (Nothing's worse than $10 in free money expiring.) I went through the J Lo, Elle and Lauren Conrad sections because those are pretty much the only clothes that are fashionable for someone my age without looking like I'm stuck in my teenage years. There was no sense of order to any of the racks. What's even worse is that the hangers would say a certain size and that wasn't even the size of what was on the hanger. I grabbed a few items to try on and realized very quickly that they were all the wrong sizes. I ended up only buying a necklace that was $14 so I got out of there for $4. Kohl's is however a great store because they have fantastic sales. Everything is pretty much always 30-40% off and the sales get even better at Christmas time -- although it makes me wonder why they have to make a skirt $75 if they are going to permanently have it on sale for $50. They're faking me into thinking I got a great deal. I will say that I've only had 1 bad experience with the employees at this store. Most of the time they are pretty friendly.

And there are always great sales like buy one, get one half off, or buy one, get one free (bogo). The accessories are the most latest styles too with many choices for both sexes. I'm a woman over 50 lucky enough to be able to wear junior sizes M-L and I like the guy's pants because they are longer in length. It's fun to shop here!
