However, once I got inside, the incredible experience quickly made up for it. The place smelled amazing, and every staff member I encountered was exceptionally kind. I got a no-chip manicure and was impressed that they didn't charge extra for the cat-eye polish. Most importantly, they took a fresh file out of the package to use, which gave me confidence in their hygiene practices. I called on a whim, and they had an appointment available. Whew! I was pleasantly greeted and filled out my 'first time' form. After a brief chat to discuss my 'style', my hair was assessed, and I was sent to get shampooed. I have curly hair and have not had it professionally cut since 2018 because I was scarred by a hairstylist that I heard tell their coworker, "Don't worry if you make a mistake. She has curly hair and won't even notice." Let's just say that The Color Room has restored my faith in a quality haircut. Pam was my stylist. She was pleasant and efficient. She used the"Curly Girl" line for my hair. I never really thought my hair was coarse until they used this stuff, and now my hair feels as soft as a puppy's fur.
