We've been coming here for a few years for the trivia and we're sad to hear it's closing soon but honestly ONLY sad because of the trivia. It's the best trivia I've been to out of the many places in the U.S. I've lived (@joshandtylertrivia on Instagram). The brewery is not good. Their beer is pretty awful but the brewery scene isn't great in Spartanburg so they can get away with it. The place is poorly run. They are always out of beers despite having built a large second location to brew beer. The menu is mostly IPAs with little creativity. It doesn't take much talent to make a consistent IPA. They have repeatedly sold bad batches of their beer. They let good bartenders and managers go. We haven't gone to the second location but it looks like a sh*t show from afar. They're always not serving food or closing early because they can't staff correctly. If they attend an event with their beer, you can guarantee they'll have half the regular tap menu for a few weeks to a month because they plan so poorly. It's upsetting... I will keep going until they close down in January or about there for trivia but man it's hard because the place really sucks... As an avid brewery goer, I would not recommend unless you're going for trivia. If you're thinking about going for beer, you'd be much more pleased going to New Groove or honestly anywhere else in Spartanburg.

Driving through the area and came to this place in the Drayton Mills Marketplace. Has a real neighborhood feel. Two beers intrigued me: the Hannah Orange Blossom Blonde Ale and the Azacca Reef IPA. Both were good, and worth the stop in. Also had their Holiday Nuthouse Brown Ale, and they had a nice mix of craft beer styles. They also have a nice wine selection, and seating indoor and outside in the complex.

Hubs had the meatballs (which the server said they only had two left...a friend nabbed the others) and other friends had the moules (mussels) frites and the braised short rib IIRC. The *.frites were the biggest hits. My filet was perfect, Sharon was raving about her mussels being the best she's had in ages. I had a bite of the meatballs, they were ok but people agreed there are better things on their menu. I love that the frites come with a choice of 3 out of about 10 different custom mayos (aiolis for the fancy-schmancy). I tried the curry, sriracha, and a fruity one I can't remember exactly what it was. I liked the fruity one the best and to my surprise, the curry the least (I usually love curry, but the balance was off). The sriracha mayo was too subtle for me, I slather sriracha mayo on my burgers regularly. I have no class. The frites were fresh cut and I enjoyed them but there were far more than I could eat on my plate, and sadly frites don't keep. They have my favorite super sweet Lindemann's framboise lambic on tap; I've only ever had it in bottles before, so that was a treat. My husband thinks I'm crazy to drink it because it is SO SWEET but I love it. So does Sharon, and clearly we're not alone or they wouldn't waste a tap on it :). It's beer for people who hate beer. (I resemble that remark. Maybe hate is a strong word. But in my 30s I realized I'd rather drink a soda than a beer, except for this one.) Desserts sounded good but we were too stuffed to order any. Next time I come, I may try the mussels, or I might just order that steak again.

Moules Frites (5/10): frites were very average. Kind of reminiscent of Five Guys fries, actually. Some of the mussels had sand in them, which kind of ruined the texture. Accidentally biting into sand is a bad feeling. The broth/sauce for the mussels was fine at first but started feeling kinda greasy/salty at the end. We also had their ginger beer mocktail, which was pretty good. Service and restaurant interior were good.

Craft cocktails and house beers served at a bustling wood-heavy bar, playful signage, local flair, and a relaxed but rowdy Southern vibe. The bartender bursting with Southern personality stands behind the rich, wood-worn bar, confident and radiant. Her sleeves are rolled up, a few loose strands of hair catching the daylight as she moves with effortless rhythm. A warm, knowing smile spreads across her face as she happily serves a jug of the house-made egg nog. Soon after, she prepares a crafty Old Fashioned--measuring the bourbon, stirring clear ice in a heavy rocks glass, perfectly embodying the brewery's quirky southern soul and big-hearted attitude. There's a lived-in comfort to the space: scuffed wood that tells stories, sunlight pooling across tables, and small-town pride in every detail. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, equal parts gathering place and second home. It's where locals come not just for the beer or cocktails, but for the familiarity--the nods, the shared jokes, the sense of belonging that keeps them hanging around long after the glass is empty. Cheers!

I ordered a burger and some fries. The fries were very good. The burger was cooked exactly how I liked it. I ordered a mule to drink and it was very refreshing and tasted very well. The decor was very earthy tones and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and increase my Star rating. I did get a sample of a beer on tap and the sample was hot. Not good.
