There is a playground, a big gazebo right on the water, covered picnic tables, swinging benches, docks, a small "beach" area, and a gorgeous view all the way up and down the walking path! This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

Checking in is easy and you can buy campfire wood and ice from the main office, and they'll even deliver it right to your campsite which was nice because there was no way I was gonna be able to carry 4 bundles of wood ($5 each) on my bike. They do have a nice playground. Not sure if I mentioned that in my first review. This is a good campground for families. The only thing I negative I can say about this place, and it isn't even their fault so I won't deduct any stars, is that there's a dairy farm right across the street from the entrance out on the main road so if the wind blows just right you get that awful ammonia and poop smell throughout the campground.

Even though it was early May, and camping yurts and other things in park, weren't open, hardly anyone at park with it being offseason, we sure did enjoy the exploration of the park. Sadly we didn't check out the light house, as it was closed. The playground replica of the Point Light House was fun to go on, yes, as an adult, Ill admit we both enjoyed letting out our inner child. The nature trails may have been a bit muddy from recent rain, but easy to manage, recommend if you check park out after rain, wear hiking boots, or sneakers you don't mind getting dirty. Perfect for anyone whose a nature lover.

But it's right next to the canal trail, so that makes up for the blip! It has THREE playgrounds. They're all fun and different. The biggest (and best, I'd dare to say) has a "jungle theme", giant playable instruments, and a splash pad. Picnics tables are strewn about all over the place, it has a little pond, a gazebo, baseball diamonds (I counted at least four), a place to play soccer, and ice hockey too, when it's in season, and disc golf! WOW! And it's all in impeccable shape. I definitely plan to come here in the future when the splash pad is actually up and running (I hear they turn the water on around Memorial Day)! Such a fantastic place to come and have a picnic, hang out while the kids play, or relax under a tree with a blanket and a book. Don't miss checking this one out!

Loved walking along the creek, so many wildlife to view. There's a nice bridge to walk over and a pond we saw. There's a few lodged to rent all looked nice from the outside. There are several different trails in the park so you won't be bored hiking all summer. The trails are marked pretty well. It's quiet and pretty. Great way to get some exercise.

We found Lagoon Park on Yelp and it was a quick and easy drive, so we went to check it out. The…read morefirst thing we noticed is that parking was obscure - we had to stop to ask a nice couple for directions! (Turns out guest parking spots are across the street from the park entrance on Lakeshore Dr, if anyone else is wondering!) Lagoon Park has a really simple and easy to walk trail - it was all flat and mostly graveled. It only took us about 20-25 minutes to circle around (with a 6 year old to boot), so we ended up circling it twice to get a longer walk in! Along the way we stopped to check out two bridges, investigated a couple of smaller dirt trails, admired the MASS amount of lily pads, waved hello to a few of the nice people in the small section of neighborhood we passed by, and the trail leads you right past Wegmans, so we took a break for some sugar cookies, too! I also noticed there were quite a few great fishing spots, if you're looking for those. And a few maps of the trail, which was a nice addition, even though I can't imagine it's easy to get lost here. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice easy trail walk, or some hidden fishing nooks!
