An awesome hidden gem of a park! A friend of my mom who lives in Genesee County suggested this place as a must visit and I am so glad I took her recommendation. I hope you will now take mine! The waterfall is awesome, and there are quite a few good places to sit down, relax and enjoy it. There is a decent side pavilion right next to the falls. There were also at least 3 picnic tables and plenty of grassy areas if those were taken. The park connects to the Erie Canal walkway and another playground and man-made pond that also includes a viewing area with a bench that looks out over the waterfall and area around it. The falls area is not overly large, but there are some walking paths and trails that lead up to the Erie Canal which opens up to the other playground mentioned which provides a variety of opportunities to enjoy different things. There is only one geocache in the park but hopefully more will be placed in the near future! We visited on Memorial day and there was a steady stream of visitors during our 4 or 5 hour stay. Quite a few people were fishing in the stream. We also saw people using the grills for public use and enjoying the cooking. We walked around the paths and saw many others doing the same and taking photos. The parking area is not overly large, but there is space for people to park on the road leading in. The gate was open but it appeared that it is open from April 1 to November 1. If you are nearby, or driving in the general direction you should definitely stop by and enjoy this beautiful and relaxing park!

What a great area and park I never knew existed! Right along the Erie Canal, Holley Falls Park provides the perfect walking and biking trails to explore and get some fresh air and plenty of picnic tables to stop for a bite. Also, the easily accessible waterfall is incredible and awe inspiring! I would avoid using the restrooms during COVID - they were smelly and haven't been cleaned in quite awhile. I wasn't about to let that affect my rating though, because the rest of the park was clean and well maintained! Look at the pictures and I'm sure you will see why it was worth the visit!

We are looking Place to hike that not far but not too close either. My bf spotted this place from ad on Facebook lol. It's about 1.5 hrs ride which is not bad at all. A very good choice! Awesome waterfalls, you can get up very close to it. The hiking also not bad. It connected to the canal so we walked around the canal. Crossing the bridges. A tad bit hot because we didn't get there as early as we wanted too but the breeze make it bearable. When we got to entrance we saw posted about wedding party at 8/22. And I can see why they want it to have it there. Engagement or wedding? Why not!

A view of the waterfall from the parking lot!

OMG THIS DRAFT IS A YEAR OLD!! Camping here for the second time. This time it's just me and the…read morehusband. On the motorcycles again and it's lovely. Checking in is easy and you can buy campfire wood and ice from the main office, and they'll even deliver it right to your campsite which was nice because there was no way I was gonna be able to carry 4 bundles of wood ($5 each) on my bike. They do have a nice playground. Not sure if I mentioned that in my first review. This is a good campground for families. The only thing I negative I can say about this place, and it isn't even their fault so I won't deduct any stars, is that there's a dairy farm right across the street from the entrance out on the main road so if the wind blows just right you get that awful ammonia and poop smell throughout the campground.

Even though it was early May, and camping yurts and other things in park, weren't open, hardly anyone at park with it being offseason, we sure did enjoy the exploration of the park. Sadly we didn't check out the light house, as it was closed. The playground replica of the Point Light House was fun to go on, yes, as an adult, Ill admit we both enjoyed letting out our inner child. The nature trails may have been a bit muddy from recent rain, but easy to manage, recommend if you check park out after rain, wear hiking boots, or sneakers you don't mind getting dirty. Perfect for anyone whose a nature lover.
