I loved the spark so much! I went on a Wednesday because I was in the area this place was practically empty. There's plenty of space for parking. The restrooms were impeccable. It's free! It has a three-story's deck for you to see the gorgeous view at this place. There's also a eco- walk way where you can walk and enjoy a little bit of the nature with many greens and the beautiful water view.

I have been coming here for years but never wrote a review. Not too many people know of this little park but its a hidden treasure. You can have a beautiful picnic and watch the sun set . This park has a trail you can go on and also a place to launch your boat or canoe . I like to go for a swim in the intercostal with my friends and have a picnic with a beer. No one to bother you and parking is good, there is a bathroom so its a perfect park to hang out. Love the tower to look out at the sunset.Come check it out you might say its your favorite too.

Great place, need some pest control to eliminate invasive big lizards. A nice little hidden park with water access and great spot for a family BBQ

I love this park! I wish I lived closer. The observation deck is such a cool little asset. I love walking the trail that goes through the mangroves. This is also a great place to launch a kayak because the floating dock is so close to the water. The Green Trail of West Lake Park is the closest marked trail to Holland Park. Lots of bugs here though especially on the walking trails. Entry is free but I know boats with trailers have to pay to park by the dock. I drop off my kayak at the dock and park closer to the bathrooms to park for free.

Located at the end of a residential area, this gem of a park is located on the intracoastal in Hollywood. Just west of the main entrance this park was once the site of a Spanish Mediterranean style house built by Herb Tulk's aunt Julia Hitchcock in 1925. Herb inherited the house upon Julia's untimely death when she drowned in West Lake. This area north of Johnson and east of 13th Avenue was platted for development but it never took place. For decades the house stood alone in a natural wilderness filled with foxes, raccoons, and panthers. Herb Tulk was able to fish from his front yard. Herb and his wife Gerta were artists and supported the arts in Hollywood. Their home became a gathering place for artists in the community. In the late 1970's Hollywood decided to expand Holland Park and when the Tulk's would not sell the house and engaged in a lengthy court battle with the city, The city used eminent domain to take the house for $140,000 in 1977. People in the community were outraged that the city took the Tulk's home and they hoped the city would preserve the home and make it part of the park. Unfortunately soon after the city took possession the house it was vandalized and fell into disrepair. The city gave the house to the fire academy to practice on and they burned it. Once the house was destroyed the land it sat on was never even used for anything. If you want to see where the house stood make a left at the entrance and walk down the path halfway to the end and face north. There once stood the home of Hollywood pioneers and supporters of the arts Herb and Gert Tulk. Most people don't know about the sad fate of the Tulk home and instead just go about enjoying the parks many amenities. It has three two lane boat ramps, two pavilions, a bicycle path, nature trails, restrooms and a waterfront observation tower. My favorite part was the waterfront boardwalk. On one side you had the beautiful water filled with boaters, kayakers, and paddle boarders and on the other side are the ecologically important mangroves covered in crabs. Although the panthers are long gone I saw a lot of birds, squirrels who clearly enjoy raiding the people who come to cook out, iguanas, and even a snake. Holland park is a beautiful natural space not known by many people outside the immediate area. Even less people know it's story.

Beautiful! Last night my husband and I picnicked by the river and then stayed for the sunset. The view from the tower is beautiful, and there were next to no people there! We have been wanting to eat by the river, without spending $$$ on the local restaurants. This is a great little park with pretty wildlife. And it's very rare to find a great spot with FREE parking and entrance down here. Didn't have time to check out the trails, we will next time for sure!

Delightful, quaint, pet friendly neighborhood park with two permanent pavilions, boat launch, bike/walking path (a little shy of a quarter mile) and observation deck. Lovely Intracoastal views and several uncovered picnic areas. I only saw one restroom facility, but I did say it's a quaint neighborhood park. If you don't live in the neighborhood, you'd probably never find it! Too bad not everyone adheres to the message of picking up after your pet - I had to dodge several mounds on my quick walk! It looks like Nova's rowing team uses this facility. I am here on a Thursday morning and there's lots of activity. It looks like they might be building something - maybe another restroom or another pavilion? So pleased I stumbled on this gem! Oh no, I meant don't go here, you'll hate it, LOL!

A great little park I would have never have found if it wasn't for a meetup event (that I ironically never found), but fortunately, I loved this park so much that it made up for it. The park is small, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's charm to it. There is a large observation deck which is great for photo ops and romantic encounters. There is a long boardwalk that goes along the intercostal that can be used for the same. There are lots of places to sit and relax. It's a perfect spot for a picnic as it's very tree covered. There is dragon boating available there as well and boat ramps for those lucky enough to own a boat (please let me know if that's you so I can befriend you). There is a restroom there, but I would advise only using it when necessary- very necessary, but that dirty bathroom doesn't take away the splendor of this great area. It's perfect for when you want a few hours of peace and relaxation in the midst of the booming city.

Enter! On the banks of the intracoastal. Nice spot!

Holland Park you are so close to my home and I just found you! This small park has an awful lot packed into a smallish space! Tucked into Hollywood's East side along the Intracoastal waterway this little gem is sitting in a great spot on what is basically a mangrove! If you love water sports this is a great spot to launch your adventure! Boat ramps, boat parking slips, and also a great spot to shove off your kayak and see all sorts of wildlife, whether it be people playing on the water or all sorts of nature's inhabitants! Got a need for speed? Bring your jet ski and skim the waters in the bay that opens up here, but keep your eyes open for no wake and manatee zones! This is Yelp so I will tie in your culinary options once you hit the waves! Across the Intracoastal you will find Le Tub the home of America's number one ranked burger, Billy's Stone Crab, Giorgio's Bakery and Bistro, Joe's Tiki Bar & Sushi, Capone's Flicker Lite Pizza & Raw Bar for some Chi-town style pizza, GG's Waterfront Bar & Grill for steaks and seafood! These spots are all within a 1/4 mile from the park and all have boat parking out in front of their establishments. Up and down the Intracoastal you will find many places to stop and get your grub on or grab that cold drink to sooth the tropical heat of the South Florida sun! Love fishing? This is a great spot that has access to all sorts of salt water fishing, bay backwater, Intracoastal and all accessible by foot with shoreline and a long boardwalk made just for the angler in you! Note: No fishing license needed for Florida residents fishing from land. Sightseeing? Bird watching? This cool park has an observation tower that goes up 4 flights of stairs and gives you a great 360 degree view of civilization, wildlife and all the happenings in the Hollyhood. It also has restrooms, wheel chair ramps, a short bike path, picnic areas and an Eco-Walk trail where you'll never know what you'll find! If you're a boater, outdoor enthusiast or just want a mellow place to park your buns it's worth checking out peeps! Enjoy!

Nice park down on the water. Very quiet with nice views of the intracoastal.

Beautiful day and nice view.

Great little park close to home. They charge no admission to enter so for that they get an extra star. Located at the very end of Johnson Street in Hollywood Lakes it is beautifully located on the inter coastal across from the Hollywood Beach. You have a great view of Le Tub and Margaritaville. This past Sunday they had live music and there was many people in the park enjoying the music from the other side of the waterway. My husband and I bike here often particularly in the cooler months. We enjoy watching the boats launch from the marina inside the park.

Holland park... Walking along the trails you can see the Intracoastal
Alex D.

It's an amazing place to relax. Right on the Intracoastal, there are good bathrooms, plenty of shaded areas to pull up your own chair and drink lemonade while you watch the boats go by. Ample parking, and there are plenty of boat ramps for you to use. Very safe neighborhood.

The Lions Club of Hollywood takes care of their namesake park. The club recently collected 500 pounds of plastic from the community, other clubs, and civic organizations in a six month period and were rewarded with a recycled plastic Trex bench for the park. On December 7th the club held a ribbon cutting ceremony and tree planting to commemorate the installation of the new bench.During the ceremony the club did some landscaping to tidy up the park and the Stan Goldman Memorial park too. Although small this lovely park is worth a visit. I found parking at the nearby railway station that is next to the Stan Goldman Memorial Park. As I was crossing the bridge between the two parks I spotted 4 manatees in the canal below. I have never spotted them in a park before so I had a great experience watching them swim and eat. The bridge is also a popular location to fish.

Ahoy Matey! Did you know there is a pirate themed playground in Altos Del Mar Park in Miami Beach?…read moreGather up the crew and anchors away for the most almost free fun a fledgling pirate can have. You still have to pay for parking. I recommend the parking lot next door. The Pirate Park Playground was built by Superior Playgrounds who was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind pirate theme play space to spark creative play and provide a safe place for budding buccaneers to play. The playground is made of recycled material like milk jugs and was created to be corrosion resistant so that it would always look good in this salt water coastal ecosystem. Located only 100 feet from the beach, the playground is fenced in for safety. There is a large pirate ship for older children to climb on and slide down and a smaller area for younger privateers. The crows nest with rigging looked especially fun to climb. Other playground play structures include clownfish and blue tang fish spring riders, a custom octopus playhouse, and palm tree shade. There are four triangle sail shades and poured-in-place safety surfacing to protect little knees and bottoms. Bathrooms are nearby. During my visit the playground was filled with kids and their families enjoying the nautical theme. This unique play space fosters imagination and physical movement for the youngest North Beach residents and visitors.

In 2005 City Park was changed to honor Peter Bluesten who was the founder and publisher of the Hallandale Digest. Mr. Bluesten was a WWII veteran who moved to Hallandale from New Jersey in 1946 and he founded the paper in 1963. He took the paper from a one sheet advertisement to a widely read and respected paper that chronicled the history and growth of the city. It was a hometown paper that the community relied on. Mr, Bluesten was very involved with youth sports in the city. He passed away in 1996. The park was redesigned by Craven Thompson & Associates Inc. and the remodeled 16.5 acre Peter Bluesten Park opened to the public on September 28, 2019. One of the highlights is the park's Aquatics Center which has a 25-meter by 25-yard competition style pool with eight lane short course section for high school swim competitions and recreational interactive water features. The pool was designed to meet all of the requirements for USA Swimming. The multipurpose main pool has a large learn-to-swim area, a dedicated water aerobics area, and a beach entry. Both pools are design-built concrete pools with deck level overflow gutter systems. There is also a 1,800 sq. ft water playground with an elevated play structure, which includes multiple decks, slides, rain buckets, water cannons, dancing floor jets and water curtains. Other park amenities include The Hallandale Beach YMCA, an artificial Safeshell turf soccer field, three baseball fields, concession stand, outdoor stage, playground, tennis, basketball, bankshot basketball, racquetball, walking path, and support buildings. The city uses the park for a number of events like their annual Easter Egg Hunt and Movies Under the Stars. If there is one small drawback to Peter Bluesten Park it is that it does not have a parking lot. You have to pay by app and park on the street. Other that that this is a really amazing park with something for everyone to enjoy.
