We decided to enroll her at 3 years old last year once she aged out of early intervention. I lived in Westchester at the time and as soon as I walked in I knew I wanted her at Seton after touring other schools. The facility is beautiful and staff goes above and beyond. My daughter was lucky enough to be in Ms. Melissa's class (we adore her!) Not only do the children get classroom learning time through the entire day, they have nurses on site to administer my daughter's g-tube feed, she gets OT, Speech and PT as well. They have a beautiful outdoor space. My daughter has thrived and flourished beautifully in this program. I could not ask for more. We recently moved out of district to Nanuet, NY and with the help of the school and my daughter's medical team we were able to keep her another year at Seton. This place has been a blessing for us. It's extremely difficult to trust anyone will care for your medical needs child as well as yourself but I fully trust the staff at Seton. I was nervous and terrified initially to enroll her but it was the absolute best decision. My daughter is really happy :) lots of fun events throughout the year as well.

This modern-looking facility is large and has everything- and I mean every equipment for rehabilitation, injury, management, etc. to restore physical function. But you have to do your work at home too- just don't rely on coming here and call it a day. And that's how it happened when I began with SportsCare in January to strengthen my knee. From the front desk to PT assistants(?)- everyone has been helpful- but I need to give Abey 'Ebby' Oommen- my therapist a shout-out for providing personalized care using a variety of techniques to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function on my left knee and achieve my goals. He also taught me how to avoid further damage on my knee tear so that I can achieve even more health benefits leading up to my surgery that I had in late June. Currently, Ebby is the man of the hour. Heck, he's always been since starting with him in Jan. '23. He's professional, super friendly, chill, caring and truly listens to you, your pains and gains. I mean the guy gives you results and instant relief. Again, you have to do your part as well. My very first PT visit post-surgery with Ebby was something I was looking forward to. Even though my foot walking position was off, he was astute and corrected that ASAP. I still have ways to go but what I also know is- he stays up to date on exercises and stretches that will benefit me and always uses best practices.

When she started, she was on sensory overload, couldn't really walk, couldn't climb, had really low muscle tone, wouldn't eat anything, and a host of other concerns. Now she is a totally different kid. She jumps, climbs, runs, (kinda) eats, and is so well adjusted. When we first started, her tantrums would alarm anyone within ear shot. Now, it's been months since she has thrown a tantrum. Her therapists genuinely care about her and her progress. She recently had her CPSE evaluation and her progress is remarkable. She will continue to see her therapists at WTS until she ages out of CPSE and by then I am confident she will be doing all of the age appropriate things.

I had my first appointment yesterday and I can only say that I'm incredibly impressed so far…read more The process began with calling their office number and a super helpful person walked me through the process of scheduling my first evaluation appointment. That appointment takes about 1 hour and reviews your issues at great detail. We also started the treatment right away and I received a customized exercise plan for home too. Scheduling an appointment is a bit tough as they are in high demand but they call you if a last minute cancellation occurs. I was fortunate and only had to wait 2 days. One "gripe" is the somewhat redundant paperwork but it was worth it in the end. I also recommend to book follow-up appointments right away for at least three weeks out. Didn't I say they are in demand because they are just awesome.

I…read morewas reluctant to go to a rehab facility, but my friends convinced me that it was the best thing to do due to my home situation. Burke Rehabilitation was chosen, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made by taking the advice of those who cared about me. Burke is an amazing place, with a dedicated and caring staff. I have never been to a facility that was run with such precision. From the doctors, the nurses, the nurses' aides, to the PT and OT professionals, EVERYONE in this facility, had only one thing in mind . . . to assist and rehabilitate those in their charge. I especially want to recognize the nurses' aides who cared so deeply for the people they were helping, who comforted me when I had a difficult day and cheered me up when I was sad. Their "can-do" attitude was some of the best medicine available. I left Burke feeling that I had truly been to a place where commitment and caring was all that mattered.
