I'm posting an update to my initial review, since Linda has replied to it…read more 1. As I stated in my original review, Linda did honor our request that our son work with her. But it remains true that initially she had him working with different graduate students from week to week, and she did not discuss this with us first. We were charged the full amount as well. 2. I did ask for the worksheets to be sent to me, after discovering the website we'd been directed to wasn't working, but was told no by some of the therapists/students we'd worked with initially. Linda only stopped in briefly to check in during our sessions for the first month or so, and I barely had a chance to talk to her. Then when I did get to see Linda more and talked about the website not working, she told me to search for worksheets on Pinterest instead. I was very disappointed that this was her response. 3. If working on one sound at a time is standard, and having two sessions per week is also standard, I respect following that protocol. But neither Linda nor any of the therapists/students we worked with ever explained either of these issues to me as a treatment plan. In fact, we were told to expect the opposite, that his issues were minor and could be addressed with once weekly sessions in a limited time frame. In our last session, Linda expressed surprise at "discovering" another articulation issue. She said something like "Guess what we found," while as stated in my original review, this had already been identified in my son's initial evaluation. I've taken the time to compose these reviews only in hopes of sharing information with other parents seeking assistance for their children.

At the time we started attending my daughter's ability to understand or communicate with us was extremely limited. Her own frustration was manifested in aggression and she went into her own world quite frequently. Due to the skill, compassion and diligence that Linda has brought to my daughter, she has become a completely different little girl. She is no longer frustrated to the point of aggression, she is frequently able to have long conversations with us about what she had done, her likes, and her dislikes. She is able to communicate her needs effectively to us and is present to us in the moment. Linda has just been such a gift in life for my daughter! 5 stars are way too little for this superstar speech pathologist.

Parents beware! A truly saddening experience with this business, they are unprofessional and…read morecareless. The office does not provide regular updates on my child's progress or return my phone calls, does not provide records when requested (likely HIPAA violation as a report upon request is not considered a full copy of records), and will not provide accurate billing necessary for insurance claims - a red flag the therapist has licensure issues. It took termination of services to get a correct superbill for my insurance after nearly three months without success, with the therapist cancelling all future sessions without having consulted with me, and claiming by email that she was offering a "discount" on therapy. Without providing a sound or documented reason why, the therapist is also pushing to have my son misdiagnosed by the city's early intervention program (the case workers from early intervention STRONGLY disagreed there were any issues) in order to continue billing us for appointments. This place only cares about lining its pockets, not advocating for your kids as they advertise.

We started working with Danielle over a year ago when we noticed that our 6 years old daughter had difficulties correctly producing her K/ T/ TH/ F sounds. After 2 sessions the K sound was completely mastered. Our daughter's self confidence changed in just a few weeks. She was looking forward to her sessions with Danielle who did a fabulous job connecting with her and making learning a fun experience! . We, as parents, were amazed by the quick progress. I HIGHLY recommend Williamsburg Speaks!

At very first, She's quickly accessed their capabilities and figured out ways to open their mouths. The kids have made 0 to 1 progress in terms of speaking. Now, I feel I have an integrated team for the twins' need. Highly recommend Felicia for her specialty!

I first met Felicia around 2014 when I was a nanny for one of her clients (J). He had been receiving mediocre speech services at home and could only produce a few sounds. Felicia came highly recommended to our team as someone who specialized in working with children with autism and apraxia of speech. Since starting speech with Felicia, J has shown significant improvement in his speech and language skills. He went from only making sounds to formulating small phrases/sentences! Felicia also was dedicated to making sure there was carryover of therapy at home and held quarterly team meetings (attendees: mom, dad, ABA provider and nanny) at her office- you won't find another provider so thorough! She genuinely cares about each of her clients and takes the time to get to know them, tailoring her approach to their individual learning styles and routines. Fast forward to 2019, I am now an occupational therapy assistant and use the skills I learned from Felicia in my own practices everyday. Felicia's speech and language services will teach your family LIFELONG techniques for lifelong skills. Highly recommended!!

We have been seeing our speech therapist, Gabby, twice a week for sessions for approximately six months. Gabby is energetic, playful, and terrific with children, and my daughter (who is 2) loves her. We have also worked with Madeleine, Eliza, and Devon (as a secondary therapist in our daughter's sessions) and we think they are all wonderful. One of the biggest benefits for us was that this office accepts our insurance (Aetna) and submits claims on our behalf. I would also like to mention that our older daughter had a great experience in speech therapy here as well about 18 months ago. Ms. Chen does a great job finding the right therapists to work with children who are knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone thinking about having their child tested for a speech delay!

My daughter's therapist is positive, engaging, and able to captivate my daughter's attention and effort such that she has been able to practice and make progress on the sounds that are challenging for her. This is a remarkable skill - especially when working on a skill that is innately challenging to a 3-4 year old. In the last year, the clarity of my daughter's speech has improved tremendously, and most importantly, she is a far more confident, happy girl as she is able to communicate effectively with friends, teachers, and family. She is happy attending and truly enjoys her speech sessions. Josephine and her therapists are professional, exceptionally well trained, kind and great at what they do. We feel so lucky to have found this gem and highly recommend this practice.
