I arrived and was feeling awful due to being dehydrated but after I got a bag of saline with B12 added to it I feel like I could go back and referee all evening at the lacrosse tournament again. I was very excited to hear that Birmingham was getting a Vida Flo and even more excited to check it out! After booking my appointment online a day or two ago (website was easy to navigate), I went in today for my first service. The staff was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. They offer a beverages (tea, coffee, water) prior to treatment, which was a nice touch. There was a bit of "paper work" to fill out, but that was pretty easily handled on the office's iPad. The staff also did a nice job of explaining the advantages of membership with Vida Flo. Basically if you are planning to visit on a regular or semi regular basis, a membership package of some sort is the way to go. I was already planning on purchasing a membership, but the RN helped me decide which package would be the best to go with for my particular needs. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the office. There is a nice front desk/lobby area with several treatment rooms located off of a hallway. Each room has a couple of comfy recliners and a big flat screen TV for the clients? Patients? IV getters? Not sure what we're called here ;) The walls are a nice relaxing shade of blue/grey, and the lighting was relaxing too. Each room also has a curtain across the doorway, which makes the experience feel more private. All in all, a great first experience... I'll update my review with "results" as time goes by. I can say that after the initial treatment today, I feel very hydrated. read more

My Mom & I both needed hydration. Wouldn't do Mom's due to low blood pressure. First, those blood pressure monitors were off. Neither of ours have ever been as low as those things measured. Always best to just take a good old fashioned blood pressure. My career has been in healthcare. Directed a Cardiac Rehab Program, etc. Always used cuff & stethoscope- only way to ensure accurate measurement. Second, we had an appt., but waited over an hour for nurse (no way she was a nurse) & the place was EMPTY! The worst part is that I have been stuck at least 100 times for an IV. No one has EVER missed the main vein in crook of my arm (even after being on IV for a straight month using hot towels due to Mg & other meds blowing my veins out). It was pitiful. She stuck me on both arms in front of the vein (not into the vein) & couldn't get the IV to work. Blood draws & IV sticks are a piece of cake for me, but damn, that hurt, because she stuck it in the WRONG place. It's pretty bad when you have good main veins & you don't even get stuck properly. Worst experience EVER. Going to Hydralive next week. Good grief! Here is a "not so good" pic. Arrow is where got stuck (both arms same location) & circle is where vein is. I'm about to post on Facebook because no one should have to go through that sort of incompetence. I hate to dog that girl, but she has no business sticking long needles into people. I have an autoammune disease that affects my endocrine system, so I struggle with dehydration. I was having a minor surgery also so I wanted to make sure I was very hydrated. I was a little unsure of what to expect, and nervous about being stuck with a needle. I really like the relief that hydration can only supply tho. The bonus is that I can get a boost of Vit D and B12, so I was low key excited on top of my nervous. Ya know? When I walked in to my appointment I felt more like I was showing up for a spray tan, in the sense that they were supper excited to check me in and help me with my perfect formula to make me feel good. The RN who administered my IV was so kind and gentle. He explained everything to me in very good details. He didn't hurt me at all! I had a recliner, remote to the TV and they even gave me a cuddly blanket to keep me warm, as the IV makes you cold as it enters your body. They checked on me constantly to make sure I was ok. I think removing the tape that was holding the IV in place was the worst part, even that wasn't that bad tho. They place sports wrap around your arm for comfort and so you have no more tape to remove. I felt so much better on my drive home!! It's been 3 days since my yummy hydrating Vitamin bag. I feel great! I will definitely go back, and probably buy a package. I love that I can now go to a place to get revitalized from the inside, and actually add quality to my everyday life. I'm so thankful I have this a try! Well worth the money!! It also didn't feel like a Dr's appt. I was like a spa treatment for me! Five starts y'all!! read more
