This is a little different than a typical motel - you pay a cleaning fee as part of the room. The room we got had a huge jacuzzi tub (we didn't use). I did find it a little difficult to maneuver - my knee was bothering me so getting myself up and over the side of the tub to take a shower was challenging - there is also a pretty high step just to get up into the bathroom. There is a nice little kitchen area with a small fridge, sink and table - we were only there for one night so we didn't have a chance to use it. I did use one of our beach towels to cover the bottom of the shade where it didn't quite go all the way down to the windowsill. I think the couch was a fold out bed but we didn't check. We appreciated how quiet and low key this place was and the location was great for visiting Cave Junction. Will visit again next time.

**Great location, disappointing stay**…read more I've stayed at the Beachfront Inn before, and its location is hard to beat. It sits right on the beach, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves is wonderful. Unfortunately, that was about the only thing I enjoyed this time. I decided to splurge on a suite, but I regretted it. For one of the more expensive rooms, it was in surprisingly poor condition: dinged furniture, rusty air vents, a gouged floor, ripped carpet, stained curtains, and sliding glass doors that were so cloudy I had to open them to enjoy the view. The bathroom appeared to have been recently updated, but I found long strands of hair in it. The service was disappointing, too. At check-in, I was told matter-of-factly, "We don't clean rooms during your stay!" I was there for the better part of a week. If I wanted cleaning, I had to request it a day ahead; otherwise, I could go to the front desk for supplies. Having worked in hotels, I understand that housekeeping costs money. Still, after booking a suite, I didn't expect to have to go downstairs for fresh towels or toilet paper. One afternoon, a nap was interrupted by loud talking outside my room. When it continued, I looked out and found a housekeeper talking on speakerphone. Checkout summed up the stay. The only thing I was asked was whether I wanted a copy of my receipt. There was no question about my stay and not even a thank-you. I'd enjoyed this hotel before, which made this visit especially disappointing.

The bed was poorly made as if it had been slept in. Whoever cleaned it left a rolled up carpet with a coke can stuffed in the top. Another can on the table. The manager was obviously drunk. Overall the room needed some TLC and Updating and it would be a great place to stay. We sat on the deck and listened to the wildlife. If some changes were made it would be awesome. Why did we stay? We were exhausted. Go to the sunset family pizza across the bridge for great pizza and the Indian creek cafe for breakfast!!!

The motel did not offer anything! The t.v. didn't even work lame! The shower was dirty and there wasn't any soap or shampoo shocking right? Everything was old from the carpet to the bed. There is a shady lounge and greasy diner located directly across from the motel. The town was interesting to say the least. The lady at the front desk was super sweet, but other than that the experience was one I would never like to have again! Make reservations for the Chateau or stay in Crescent City if you are coming in from California through 101.
