Fun play area all to ourselves on an early Summer Monday morning 7:30 7/21/2025

Unsure why I was hesitant of having to make reservations for the play area with the limit of 6 children. It was so simple and great to sit at that area watching them play since they were the only two in there. We adults were able to sit and sip, enjoy our treats and chat a bit while they happily played together. They are so sweet and adorable I did have to join them some. Our 90 minutes flew right on by. A 7:30 am early Summer Monday morning was the time to book! We had the place to ourselves most of the time with only a couple people sitting, and coming in or out until the very end of our time. Looked like it was a bout to get busy?! The prices may seem high, but for quality, scratch made with love in such a beautiful setting. . . (Overhead is at an all time high.) It was at least for me, a cherished time. Teary eyed I thank you Holiday Cafe owners and crew for helping us celebrate life together

    Fun play area!

This was my first time here, I have been so excited to come! From the moment you walk in, it has the most relaxing and lovely feeling to it. It feels homey but also chic! My kiddo had the best time in the play area. They did a wonderful job equipping it with many fun things to play with. I ordered the cheddar and onion scone and it was delicious, very flavorful! I also got a hazelnut iced americano. This is my go to drink and I am not kidding- this was the best I have ever had! This cafe is such a special gem, I can't wait to come back! Thank you for such an exceptional experience!

One of the cutest cafes I've been to! The aesthetics and interior are modern. I noticed they have a frame with a religious quote. There was also an area where you can write notes. There is even a play area which I thought was awesome. It allows parents and their kiddos to enjoy. Now for what I got. I tried their matcha with simple syrup. It was tasty and to my liking. Just the right amount of matcha! I got my mom the peach tea lemonade which she liked as well. The service was nice and quick.

Took my kiddos to play at the cafe today. Service was average, not overly friendly, not rude. We didn't order coffee or snacks because they are not allowed in the play area so this review is solely for the play area. First thing I noticed was my daughter covering her ears every time the steamer or blender was used, she's not a fan of loud noises but after a while got used to it. On that note the speaker for the entire cafe is right above the play area so it was a little loud on that front, additionally they play worship/religious music so if that's not your thing it might bother you. The jungle gym is not accessible for littler littles who cannot climb as well as big kids and the flooring behind the ladder isn't padded, I'll include photos. The slides have large drops that are unsafe if kiddos go down on their tummies like smaller kids tend to do. Just my personal opinion I could see my 17mo getting hurt a few ways however my 3yo LOVED it. Overall we had a great time and found the play area a great value ($7 for 2 kiddos). We will definitely return.

Had to try this new Cafe in town!! Such a cozy vibe and all decorated for the Holidays! The staff was happy and welcoming. Will definitely be back and will need to try cookies next time as well. Great addition to DT Puyallup.

Service is friendly and welcoming, they have bright modern decor. Great children's playroom lots of neat sensory toy's to play with and things to climb on. My Almond croissant was delightful and my Honey Lavender Latte was delish. Positive messages everywhere. Order at the counter and server will bring your order to the table. If you order a community drink, a portion of your payment goes to a charity in the community of your choice. Great New Addition to downtown Puyallup

Just came by today for my birthday while family was in town. We all loved the overall charm of the…read moregrounds (there's a garden, playground, greenhouse, cafe, and venue here too). There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. There are still a lot of dishes I'd like to try and since I loved the area, it would be worth coming back again.

We joined the online waitlist at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. While we were seated fairly quickly, we still had to wait in a long line just to speak with the host to check in. The restaurant was completely packed well past 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we sat down. It took forever just to place our order. Our chowder arrived about 10 minutes later, but it tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the accompanying dinner roll was completely flavorless and factory-made. Since we were hungry, we ate it quickly anyway. It took 45 minutes for our entrees--a Country Fried Steak and a California Benedict--to arrive. By 3:00 PM, we were famished, which made it all the more disappointing to discover our food was cold, soggy, and hard. The cubed fries, scrambled eggs, and English muffin tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes before being brought to our table. For a restaurant advertising a "farm-to-table" concept, the eggs, salad, croutons, and muffin felt entirely mass-produced. The service was equally disappointing; our server never returned to refill our water. While the atmosphere is nice and the space is large enough to fit over 100 people, they seemed severely understaffed. The host stand was backed up, it took too long to order, and the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. For $23 a plate, I expect significantly better quality in both the food and the service.

They have a lovely space with table seating and couches. In addition to your typical coffee drinks and lattes, they offer sandwiches, pan dulce, mexican cakes, and concha sandwiches. They offer various latte flavors rooted in Mexican culture like Mazapan (which I got and was delicious!!!), Horchata, and Abuelita. I couldn't help myself so I got their cafe specialty, the concha rellena which is a HUGE concha filled with nutella, strawberry, banana slices, and whipped cream. It was soooo good, but definitely you want to share it with someone! A great date dessert ;-) I also got the sweet corn tamale, which was served hot and tasted so sweet and juicy like they used fresh corn. The Mazapan latte was delicious. I asked for it less sweet and it was still had a lot of flavor. I also got a box of pan dulce to take home and all the cookies and pastries inside were so delicious and not dry at all. It's such a cute place with a nice selection of food and drink offerings. When I went, it was a week before Dia De Los Muertos and they had a beautiful ofrenda set up in the back and were going to have a Catrina contest. Very cool! If you've been wanting to shake up your coffee shop routine or find a great new place to work or meet a friend, don't sleep on Dulce Cafe!
