Holey Mackerel! This place is amazing and such a hidden gem. I've driven past here so many times to the point it ended up on my "want to go" list. I went tonight with a friend, and we had an absolute blast! The vibes inside give 80s nostalgia means a seaside shack, and I'm IN LOVE with it. For two of us to play mini golf, it was $22, which is reasonable for the area & 18 holes. The course is not the most accessible with some rocks and steps along the paths, but it's a fun course to play regardless! There were misting stations across the playing path, which is nice for the summertime. As we were getting ready to leave, we saw a flyer mentioning music bingo on Thursdays at 7pm. We stuck around for the few minutes until 7, and I'm so glad we did. It was so fun. For $1, you get three rounds or more of bingo, depending on length of game play. Our rounds tonight were 80s hits, songs from movies, and bar classics. The emcee was amazing and friendly. I got a Carbliss from the bar, and my friend got a non-alcoholic frozen drink called the Mangonada. We were both cackling at the headers in the menu. Calling wine "Mom Juice" is extremely hilarious and adds so much character to this place. The bartender was kind and knowledgable too. If you want to test your luck, you can pay to spin the wheel of shots. Forewarning: malort has its own spot on the wheel. There's also arcade games and batting cages here. I will wholeheartedly be coming back to this place. This might be my new go-to bar!

The new owners have definitely spent money improving the experiences here. It is great to see water flowing and landscaping kept tidy. I don't quite understand the holes that have the open edges. If they were closed it would improve this pace of play, which is a constant problem at this mini golf course.

We love Holey Mackerel! We live close by and it's the perfect place to get outside for a round of mini golf or watch live music. Their bar is fabulous with awesome happy hour deals. The whole place is decked out in old Nintendo games. They have stuff going on all week like music bingo and live music inside and outside. Bartenders are always friendly. They have a food truck outside as well! We haven't tried the trucks, but people always say the food is food.

Recently opened, the old river falls family fun center is now the new and improved Holy Mackerel! We were able to attend "Spooky Mini Golf" during the Halloween season, 18 holes of mini golf with glow in the dark holes and lights lining the perimeter of the green. Too chilly for mini golf (or the batting cages)? Head inside for warm spiked cider at the fully stocked bar, and a wide array of arcade games! The bar itself has a nice selection of liquor options and a solid drink menu. The vibrant indoor atmosphere is backed by the equally spirited staff, who is friendly, information and ensures you feel welcomed. Definitely a great spot for family fun, or a quick drink while playing games!

Mini golf here was a lot of fun! But I was most impressed by the bar area inside, despite looking like your standard mini golf place from the outside, Holey Mackerel is a fun place to stop and get a drink at the bar, even if that's the only reason you go! Mini golf was well maintained and the cup holders on each hole were a nice touch, would recommend!

My review is specifically for the batting cages--we did not patronize any other activity (but loved to see a bar and mini golf on site as well).

I will say that i've been saving my tickets for like a year now from each time I've gone and still don't have enough for a prize bigger than a Chinese finger trap ): which is a bummer after spending over $100 every-time i go. Some of the games weren't working properly as well. I swiped my card for the basketball game only to realize all of the basketballs were stuck in the net. I am sure i could have asked staff for help but, i just decided to move on. The Mario kart i decided to play also had a broken wheel but didn't impact game play too much. So i also ignored that. Not all claw machines had prizes being restocked but i still got a good amount of goodies to take home from that area of the games!! I will say i was also disappointed to see that the only two ski ball machines were cramped next to each other against the bowling area wall. But still playable! The photo booths are so fun and a great inclusion. The 99 cent ice cream was a nice treat before heading out into the mall. Next door are two more activity centers if you feel like you haven't spent enough money already, and feel like you want a shot at air-soft shooting or escape rooms. Mid-day weekends and summers I'm sure are packed; and in past experience, with young kiddos having their own fun, and parents catching a break. Which is okay too, just not my style. Overall always a fun visit, just keep in mind that experience may vary depending on the day and time you go and what you prefer socially!

If you come with a lot of people, this is well worth the price! Even for the two of us, it was a great deal. We spent $22 (+ tax, including card activation) for games. We got nearly 10 experience games (rhythm games & Mario Kart) for our price. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely come back again for karaoke and to try their bowling alley.

It doesn't seem they've made any updates over the years. We came on a Saturday night with a big group of people (a handful of families/kids), and boy was this place packed! Our group just added to the chaos, but needless to say the community loves this spot! The big ol' organ at the forefront is a fun feature, and everyone was loving the music. They also have a good size arcade that keeps the kids very happy. I was a fan of the ordering system here too- you go up to the counter/bar on their own accord and submit what you'd like, and then they give you a ticket with your order number. Up on the wall is a giant light up sign and you simply look out for when your number is lit up and that means your food is up. Given that pizza is the thing here, that's what we went for. Everyone was pleased with it! I can see the appeal here, but I can also see the pov of folks who aren't the biggest fans. It's a certain kind of place, and with kids, it was a good time!

We also added some large games to our space as well. We then made it upstairs for our dinner program and the buffet was amazing! Delicious and tenor serving they have a very nice event space upstairs. The staff were very nice. Two notes would just be that they had our program run on a court back to back with another group so it was ackward since we needed all those large games set up, had preset beverages and appetizers. Plus a full check in table. The other court was empty so I'm not certain why we weren't just in the other space. Then they also only had the front bar open in the first hour versus the one right at the courts and bowling where we were and other guests enjoying their time. In the case of our group it also left us separated into two since as they waited for drinks then they just became comfortable in the front bar talking. They did open the upstairs bar once we moved up there. I would book an event here again I would just make sure to clearly note some of those details and/or even book the court an extra hour to ensure no crossover even though I was able to set up 15 minutes before our event start. Everyone had a really fun time and for many it was their first time experiencing it.

The arcade upstairs had some issues like games charging you and not actually allowing you to play but the entire staff resolved it quickly on the spot.
