They explained the issue to me, informed me of my options, and were patient as I decided what to do. They quoted me honestly and when I came in to pick up my car, it ended up being LESS than what they'd originally said. That never happens. I was incredibly impressed by the expertise and troubleshooting diligence exhibited by Kermit and the team at SHA. As a female, I usually hate speaking with auto shops because you either get dismissed or talked down to. Quite the contrary! They gave me video's/documentation of their inspection and discovered that the oil plug was not properly tightened. They Steam cleaned the mess in the engine bay and surrounding areas. Then they replaced the oil plug and gasket, filled it with the proper oil and inspected the engine bay to ensure everything was up to spec. With my wife being disabled this could have turned into a very bad situation. With their video and documentation that was given to me I was able to present the evidence to their competitor for a refund of everything involved. Thank you Christian Brothers Automotive.

He told them what he thought the issue was, so they said they would run a diagnostic and let him know. The part he thought it was was covered under warranty, so no big deal. They ran their diagnostics and had a few pages worth of items, most not covered. He authorized the warranty fixes, nothing listed about what he thought the issue was. We got the truck back 16 days later and had air conditioning for one day, then back to blowing hot air again... he brought it back.... They finally put the dye in and found the problem... exactly what he told them to begin with. They fixed it.... At a cost. He asked how they found the "problem" the first time... using soapy water as a $200 diagnostic.... There is some shadiness going on there.... They tried to over charge him from the first time we got the truck back... luckily he is a very calm guy and voiced his disbelief, they finally gave him an appropriate price after nearly an hour of question and answer/ "negotiating". They kept disappearing behind a door like used car salesmen... shady.

He never gave me a time estimate, just ignored me. So, I patiently wait until 2pm, seeing that my car still hasn't moved from where I parked it. I ended up asking a different worker if I could get my keys back and leave. He was much nicer and helpful than the other guy. ONLY THEN DID THEY MOVE MY CAR. An hour after the appointment and a request for the keys back and they finally decided to start working on my car. 30 minutes later they were done. Second guy apologized and told me they gave me a discount but didn't tell me how much it was the original total was. I'm never going back.
