Great ambience, friendly service and good food. I especially like that kids are 1/2 price on Tuesdays. A very family friendly place.

I enjoyed this. Friendly service and good food at reasonable prices. Nice to sit on the balcony on a sinny day

Meat! This restaurant embraces the wise and timeless words…read more"You can't make friends with salad!". The Glenelg BBQ Inn is the origin and home of the Man Meat Night. Approximately once a month myself and some of the lads (there are about 15 regulars now) get together for an onslaught of meat. Needless to say the fairer sex is not permitted due to the manliness required to consume as much meat as we do. My nickname is 'The Surgeon' on account of my preference to cutting all of the fat off before eating. The go is, at the BBQ Inn one must order a minimum of the Mixed Grill which is a porterhouse, lamb shashlik, 3 chevapchichis, a big-ass sausage and some token onion, tomato and potato salad. Any other order must be approved by the Man Meat Members present. Just to paint an even more 'enlightening' picture, mid meal 'dumps' are not uncommon. The first time this wondrous occasion occurred it was my two mates (brothers) and myself. At one point I began to turn white and the waitress was incredibly concerned with my well being. This was my first experience of the 'Meat Sweats', and certainly has not been my last! Anyplace that can give birth to something as amazing as Man Meat Nights has got to be sweet as, and the BBQ Inn is most certainly that! I have noticed the quality of meat has dropped a little in the last few years, but I tend to take a LOOOOONG time to eat my half cow, so if gets a little cold and tough! By the way....if I have inspired you to organise your own Man Meat Group remember that the aftermath is often unpleasant. I'll leave it at that!

Vegetarians stay away! I have been coming to the BBQ Inn for at least 20 years, with my parents…read morecoming for much longer. I used to come here when it was the Glenelg Bay BBQ. Everytime I'm in Adelaide I always try to make at least one visit. First thing you see when you step inside is the bbq's and meat cabinet. Everything is freshly prepared while you wait. Go for the mixed grill as you get a decent selection of meats. You have to get at least one or of chevapchichis as they are amazing. The plates usually come with salad sides and the potato salad is very good. Well worth a visit whenever in the Glenelg area. Haven't had any problems with it but make a reservation just to be sure. Bring your appetite. Service is good and prices are very good.

After a 40 minute wait for my meal and being assured several times it was only minutes away myself…read moreand 2 others watched as the others in our group were served theirs. Upon arrival of our meals the manager decided to come to my table and argue with me that the error was mine? Sadly I will not be returning and I will not recommend this place to anyone

However if its atmosphere or class you want give it a miss!! The decor is drab, the seats worn and the carpet threadbare. If you want a beer after work in your overalls this is the place to be. The other half is made up of 50% pokie room, with some limited outdoor seating mainly for the smoking rules. The room is large, bright and noisy with all the pokies being busy! The other 50% is the Bistro. I have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. The menu is as any other bistro menu and has all the faves. The main selling point of this bistro though is the extensive salad bar included with all meals. Not only salad but also, soup and breads, veg, fruit, sauces....as much as you want! The bistro also includes 4/5 games consoles...im guessing to keep kids occupied. As said earlier...i haven'f had a bad meal here...its not 5 star by any means but it is far from the worst!!

After opening Adelaide's first Argentinian steak house on Gouger St back in the 80s, Norberto has…read morerun Argentinian restaurants in Stirling and Hindmarsh, with his latest incarnation the Buenos Aires Brassiere being located on the southern end of Hutt St. They do great seafood, chicken and an amazing double roasted duck with calvados, however the reason I keep going back is that it simply is the best steak in town. Pick your favorite cut and they'll bring it out cooked to perfection, served with Norberto's famous Chimmichurri sauce. A bit on the pricey side, so you wouldn't go every week, but if you feel like a first class steak this is the place to go.

Everything was very high quality, cooked to perfection, and the wait staff were very attentive - we had the place to ourselves, being there for a fairly late business lunch, but didn't feel rushed at any time. I had the duck - I've mentioned before I'm a real duck fan, and the serving here (half a duck) was cooked so well I'd go back in a heartbeat. Fat rendered down to pure crispy skin and the meat was still juicy and tender - perfection on a plate.
