This is the paint policy that was changed recently. No more bring your own paint.

The pricing is crazy town... love the park its a lot of fun. If money isn't an issue go ahead. $5 for 100 balls... outrageous. People drive really far expecting that old price but get surprised with a huge price and paint policy change.

Great experience, a lot of fun, and dirt cheap for everything that you get. Been wanting to try this place out for a while and finally had the pleasure of doing so with a group of friends (guys and girls). Counting down the days until I get back out here and play some more. We had a group of 12 that came out for a bday and it was the best idea. We were our own private group with our own ref for the entire 2 hours. You can play different games and on different maps which makes it a lot of fun. I believe they have around 20 different maps and we played about 6 of them and each one is fun and unique in its own way. There are lots of fences, boulders, and other objects to hide behind during all the games with plenty of trees and shrubs in some of the maps. Each game you play is either 10 or 15 mins. and you can play elimination style, defend and attack, or capture the flag. We did a 2 hour set and played around 10 games. After each game you get a chance to go load back up with paintballs and air if needed. Each person only paid $35 and that includes a personal referee for the entire 2 hours, 500 Paintballs, paintball gun, and mask. They also have camouflage pants/shirts that you can rent for $5 if you want. Overall this was a great time and a steal at $35 (I thought anyways) and then after we went to stone tower for some wine. Definitely recommend!

***ASK FOR ELIJAH TO BE YOUR GUIDE/REF*** I just have to start off by saying Elijah made our experience SO enjoyable; we couldn't have asked for a better guide/ref to keep us safe and on our toes. He was polite, friendly, and made us feel extremely comfortable all day. THANK YOU, ELIJAH! My friends and I booked a private group time slot from 3-5 pm and paid $39 per person for 500 balls (for all you trigger happy people, you can buy more balls if you run out), which allowed us to play 6 games on 4 maps, so it worked out perfectly; the price per person also included all the gear you need. If you need camo pants, a vest or jacket for an extra layer, those are $5 each. There are a number of maps that you can choose from, and you can jump to as many as you want to until your time runs out, as well as what game you want to play (i.e. elimination or capture the flag). All in all, I'd say this is the best place to go paint-balling in the northern VA area because of the price, number of maps, and Elijah who is a huge asset at Hogback. We'll be back!

Small group from work, great team building event for all skill levels!

I've been playing paintball for 20 years across several states (NY, PA, DE, MD, VA) and Hogback ranks right up there with some of the big name fields. Fair price for own equipment ($30 + 500 rounds) and rec ball paint ($60/case), I believe rentals were $40. Highlights include: Our ref who kept us moving from field-to-field with just enough downtime to grab some water and reload. Good coordination in the staging area as to what fields were available. Compressed air refills in the staging area saving players time (and energy) walking up and down the mountain to the rental/pay area. Gunsmith in the field staging area to help diagnose and/or resolve any minor issues - big props to Josh for figuring out my tank & remote issue! Fields have a good mix of structures (wooden, cinderblock, replica towns and helicopters, and barriers built up using downed trees and large branches). The only negative is the lack of parking for non-4x4 cars. After our morning of games the lot was full, cars were parked close enough that one guy did a 10 point turn to back out of his spot...

It was definitely an awesome experience. The field layout is one of the highlights. It's tight CQB but designed really well, with a central room and perimeter hallway that keeps both sides balanced. The areas between respawns add variety with different sightlines and angles, so every round feels a little different. IThe layout makes camping very difficult so it helped keep the pace high, which we all appreciated. The staff went above and beyond. Our ref was flexible with game modes and helped keep everything organized and moving so we got the most out of our 3-hour rental. He even rotated in some of his personal upgraded markers so we could try setups with optics and lights, which was a nice bonus. Safety was taken seriously with a full briefing (video + walkthrough) and strict FPS checks. My personal marker was shooting a bit hot, and the owner swapped the spring for free and let me keep both springs. This small gesture one example of many that speaks volumes to how they treat customers. The staging area shows some wear from heavy use, but that's expected in a high traffic facility and didn't impact the experience. They also have cameras setup in the field that stream to the staging area TVs. We did a 2v2 competition and we were able to spectate our friends going head-to-head. Definitely bring water because you'll get a workout, though they do have drinks and snacks available onsite. As a private party, they also allow you to bring food and coolers for drinks if you'd like. What stood out most was how accessible it was for all skill levels. We had several beginners, and it was great watching everyone get more comfortable and confident as the session went on. Booking private was 100% worth it. Being able to control your group makes a big difference. Overall, great value, great staff and a really fun environment. Would absolutely go back.

It reminded me of call of duty (of course without the blood and killing). There were 4 15 minute sessions and I could tell that many of the players were regulars. I sat out the 4th session. I feel I was not dressed appropriately with leggings on. After being "shot" a few times, the sting of the BB's was enough for me to say I'm done. Overall, it was a good experience.

Honestly, I am shocked at how much I enjoyed playing airsoft, as this is not something I would…read moretypically find appealing. The only reason I went is because a group of friends & I got a house for the weekend in Lancaster, and they wanted to play. If you're not used to playing, it can be a little intimidating when you arrive. Most of the other people there seem to play all the time. They are decked out in tactical gear, have their own airsoft guns, etc., but the staff and everyone else couldn't be more friendly. And once you get on the battlefield and shoot a few people and/or get shot, the nerves settle and it becomes really fun. I would absolutely go again if a situation arose where my friend group decided they wanted to play. But next time, I would probably opt to rent a gun that is a bit better than the standard gun they have for rent. The standard gun you rent has been heavily used, so it tends to misfire, dryfire, jam, etc. It became very frustrating. As well, the people that owned their own guns and equipment had a clear and significant advantage over those of us that did not, so just bear that in mind. 10 out of 10, would absolutely go again.

Therefore, I thought Wednesday was a perfect day since charles county schools had a half of day. It was a cloudy, rainy, & gloomy day but once we got there and up until we left there was no rain. God is good! Parking was ample and directions was easy to find. We were greeted by Josh and he was awesome. He got us checked in quickly and explained all directions/safety requirements to us. Oh can I mentioned he was very patient and knowledgeable. We had the entire place to ourselves and Josh lead our boys (11 & 12 year olds) the whole time. There were many courses he took them on. The moms got to relax, conversate, and watch as he took care of everything. We were there for about a hour with the 500 paintballs package. The boys had a great time as it was their first experience and we look forward to coming back. The only wish is for the company to offer discounts /longer hours during the week as prices can be a little heafty. For example, have special evening/nights that consist of (ladies night only, gentlemen night only, mom & me or dad & me night only, parents vs kids night, half off night only, student discount night w/ report card or studentvue verification ,etc) Thanks SMP
