I've discussed the approach/fixes and prices with a mechanic/shop supervisor in my family, and he's always agreed with the plan that John at Q Reparis has come up with, and agreed that the pricing is fair. Q repairs is a smaller shop, and doesn't keep a large inventory of parts on hand. I think this helps him keep prices down. In spite of this, he has never had any major delays in sourcing parts, and fixes have been faster than my experiences at Toyota dealerships when I've gone there. If you're anxious when choosing a mechanic, like I was, this is the shop I would recommend. He's honest, he's fair and upfront on pricing, and makes repairs much less stressful than other locations. When there's a car problem, it's always stressful. Having a trustworthy mechanic in town like Q Repairs makes car problems much less anxiety-provoking.

My bike went in for routine maintenance with no oil leak. Now it has one. Three important screws were missing, including one in the fairing that I only noticed while detailing the bike. My speakers worked before service, but after whatever disconnect they said they installed, they no longer function. The seals around the fairing were not reinstalled correctly. The rubber seal around the fuel tank was also put back improperly. My brake light and turn signals are now malfunctioning and hyper flashing. I also had to buy a new battery right after their service. The work took far too long, communication was poor throughout the process, and now I'm going to have to pay the shop down the street to fix everything and do it right. As a Harley owner, this whole experience was a nightmare. It's frustrating to drive by and see a full parking lot of bikes, because it makes me wonder how many other people are dealing with the same kind of service.

This owner then admitted that the worker over filled the oil reservoir but they could do nothing about it and tried to blame it on the fact that it was recently rebuilt even though it had been rebuilt for 6+ months with 0 issues other than an oil light coming on. They tried to misquote him 70$ for a part then declined to inform him the part was actually 250 and tried to still order it without his consent or knowledge . They told him it would be done within a week or less and it ended up being 3 weeks all for a 300$ "fix" to do nothing but total the bike entirely. again thankfully nobody was behind him , riding his bumper , or even on a turnpike . It's sad that the owner only cares about making himself look good and not actually care about the risk involved with working on these motor vehicles. If you don't have common sense that over filling the oil causing it to go in places it doesn't belong in 30 degree weather where the viscosity is more thicker than you should not be owning anything involving fixing vehicles. learn to take ownership before you cost someone their life over sloppy work and unprofessional management

Vaughn the owner is down-to-earth and so honest, as are his crew. Drake is the tech that patched my tire and I watched him work meticulously on both patches, even making sure the tire was all balanced before putting it back on my car. It took about 1/2 hr and the cost was low low low so I'll be going back to them and am grateful to find honest hardworking "gentlemen"!! Thank you so much Quality Tire!!

This shop is now called Jimmy's Auto Repair…read more It used to be Vaughn's Auto Shop (aka Quality Shop & Tire), and let me say this clearly, it was the ONE mechanic in the area you could actually trust. Fair prices, honest work, and a constant stream of cars coming in and out. People didn't just go there because it was convenient, they went there because they knew they wouldn't get taken advantage of. Senior citizens trusted Vaughn, including my mother, because they knew he would never rip them off or steer them wrong. Vaughn, to me, will always be one of the kindest, most decent men I've ever known. He took care of my mother and her cars for over 20 years. I remember calling from California to check on her, and every single time, she was getting solid advice, fair pricing, and real care when it came to her car. That kind of consistency is rare. I will never forget how well he and his team treated her. Fast forward to today. Vaughn passed away a few years ago, and his loss was deeply felt in this community. With him, it feels like the heart of that shop went too. The business is now run by Jimmy and his daughter. And the difference is noticeable. Where there used to be a steady flow of customers and cars waiting to be serviced, now the lot is often empty. My mother and I both had a very different experience there recently, and I'm going to be very direct about it. The treatment was rude, cold, and dismissive. It made the entire interaction very uncomfortable. My mother, who lives on a fixed income, tried to ask if there was any flexibility on pricing for a relatively small repair. The answer was no, and it felt final. No effort to work with her, no understanding of her situation. And that's where it really hits. Vaughn would have worked with her. He understood people. He understood that for someone on a fixed income, even a small unexpected expense can throw everything off for months. What used to feel like a place that cared now feels transactional and indifferent. For long-time customers who supported this business for decades, the shift is hard to stomach.

The initial interaction was spoken with me in Spanish and I had to confirm I called the right place, he couldn't even tell me the name of the business. Then he had that tone that I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm a woman. He started lecturing me on how to find a car shop and why they don't give estimates(which is very odd because most places do that) and the price of the estimate is added into the price they charge(doesn't logically make sense because if you frequently do the service, it's within a price range). From that interaction, I have no confidence in their ability to put their hands on my car. The recommendation I'll take from you is that I definitely take my business elsewhere.
