Hoffman worked on a 2015 Chevy Cruze with oil leak. Claimed replace the following: Valve cover and gasket, timing cover gasket, oil filter gasket, oil pan gasket, serpentine belt. $1500. Still leaked, turns out they never did the oil pan. Took back and fixed. Butch claimed his new guy worked on it. I had to take photos to prove the catalytic converter was not removed, (which has to for pan seal). Less than 3000 miles later everything leaking again. Took to another shop to check. They found bolts loose and missing from water pump and timing cover. Bolts loose on timing chain guide, so cover was rubbing from incorrect install of timing chain. Very unsafe as at any minute could have catastrophic failure. All damage was a result of poor workmanship. New repairs cost $2900. I would NEVER take a car here. As nice as guy Butch may be, there quality is terrible. read more

While some pricing adjustments have occurred, I have always been informed in advance and given multiple options. I brought my car here after it blew a head gasket because they offered a good price and they appeared very reputable, but it was one of my most regrettable decisions I've ever made. The quote started at $1033 and the estimated completion time was a week/week and a half. In the end, it took over 3 weeks and my total rang up to be $2600. Mind you I was told on multiple days that it would be done the next day and it ended up taking a week past that claim. My car needed more than a head gasket and that was ok but they NEVER once called to tell me they were putting something new on... they did it all on their own. When I had to call THEM for an update about my car, they finally let me know what they had done. I was very disappointed by their assumptions they made that I could afford what they were doing. I was forced to get a bank loan. I can't explain how disappointed I am by this. And on top of it all, when I went to get my car my bumper was barely hanging on, shop napkins were left behind, and my hood release was broken. Please spare yourself the headache and choose any other auto repair shop before Hoffman's. read more
