I really think they understand the discombobulating situation people are in when they have to deal with them. Two of my vehicles were totaled, so that was a no-repair. But they were accommodating and gracious when we came to get the personal items out of the cars. Two were repaired. In short order, with extra accommodation to the non-body work that had to be done, by collaborating with the engine people. And it all got done in one fell swoop without too much of my intervention. They communicate well on what's going on, how the insurance claim is going and when the car will be delivered. When I walked in and they knew my name, I knew I was a frequent flyer!! Cory then showed me the written estimate and asked me if I could read English. I asked to speak to Brendon, who came over and confirmed our original conversation, which included "touch up paint". I turned to Cory and referred to his earlier comment about no paint involved. He then suggested we just forget the repair. My wife continued to talk to Brendon, and apparently reached some agreement. More than the repair (photos attached", I can't help wondering how the manager of a public facility can be openly rude? Most are friendly, some are polite, this was totally unexpected.

After I pushed back and questioned it, I was met with attitude instead of helpful customer service. Then suddenly they were able to source the same part locally for much cheaper, which makes me question whether they even tried in the first place. On top of that, they added a diagnostic fee that was never discussed or authorized beforehand. There was nothing that actually needed diagnosing either, the issue was stated and obvious.  I understand shops need to make money and labor isn't free, but transparency and honesty matter, especially in a small town. The whole interaction was dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. To top it all off, as the conversation was ending, the female co-owner made a chirpy comment implying that they didn't have to honor a military discount anyway before storming off. Regardless of policy, the attitude and lack of professionalism throughout the experience were very disappointing.

My review is long overdue, and I apologize to the great people at B&T Auto Service for doing them…read morethe disservice of not writing this sooner. I have had nothing shy of a wonderful experience every single time I take one of our cars in (maybe 6 times now since late 2017 or early 2018 I think). The first time I took my car in, I had a local auto parts store check my battery and alternator. They told me the alternator was definitely bad. So, I bought one, popped in the front seat, and looked around for a mechanic. B&T was able to get me in the soonest. So, I gave them a try. They called me shortly after I dropped it off to tell me there was nothing wrong with my alternator, that my battery was bad, and it would just be a waste of money to replace the alternator. When I picked my car up, I got a detailed tech report on what they did to test and what the readings were. All they had to do was NOT call me, install the alternator I already had sitting there, and was the entire reason I set the appointment anyway. However, they chose to be honest, call me, and let me make the decision. *The alternator is still working fine (2-3 years later) FYI* My poor girlfriend had bought a total money pit Subaru Legacy (unbeknownst to her when she bought it). We've had that in their shop 4 or 5 times I believe and they always do good work that I feel satisfied with and they don't charge you ridiculous prices. I am happy to pay for good honest work. That's what its all about. And that's what they do. I want to detail all other accounts, but for what its worth, take my word that every experience has been like my first, detailed above. I've recommended them to anyone talking about getting their car worked on (and I warn away from 2 places in town... you probably know 1 of the 2, if not both). Thank you B&T Auto Service! Please keep up the good, honest work, and I will keep coming back to you for many, many years!
