He is a very attentive listener and observer. Having world-class knowledge in his field, he also possesses superior judgment in knowing when to intervene and when to simply keep an eye on things. His office always operates extremely effectively and professionally, I can't say enough good things about them either. And I can't count the times other doctors in the Cedars-Sinai system, without any prompting from me, have commented on what a first-rate doctor they believe Dr. Eshaghian is. I would recommend him without reservation to any patient seeking the highest level of care.

My…read moreprimary care physician decided that I would need to have clearance from a cardiologist before they would clear me for surgery. However, surgery was just one week away! I contacted the office of a cardiologist who I had seen a few years ago and really liked to see if I could get an appointment. The office said that since it had been over three years since I had seen the doctor, I would be considered a new patient, and it would be a five month wait until I could get an appointment. What?!? I got in touch with my surgeon's office, and they referred me to Dr. Shervin Eshaghian at Beverly Hills Cardiology. Although the office is not close to where I live, I was desperate to find someone that could see me. I called the office on a Thursday afternoon and was helped by Amy. She was able to offer an appointment on Monday morning! I was very thankful that they would be able to fit me at such a last minute. The offices are located in Century City. The parking structure was very crowded, and I would recommend arriving at least 20 minutes ahead of an appointment to have time to park and get to the office. There is valet available and the valet attendants were very nice, and they worked very hard to accommodate everyone. The appointment went very well and everyone that I encountered was professional and great to work with. Evelyn A. took care of taking my vitals prior to seeing the doctor and she was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. Shortly after seeing her, Dr. Eshaghian started the exam. He learned about all the details of my upcoming surgery and was able to set me up with an echocardiogram on the spot. Chris conducted the echocardiogram and explained everything that was going on with the test. I have never had an echocardiographer provide so much information while having the test. When all was said and done, I was cleared for the surgery three days later. I was in the hospital for four nights. Each day, Dr. Eshaghian stopped by to check in on me, which I truly appreciated. He is very caring and going forward, I will gladly drive the extra distance to remain one of his patients.

When you see him, you will think you're his only patient because he really tunes into you and is seriously concerned with your issues. In the life of any physician, there are patients that you can help, others that cannot be cured or take a bad turn, and there is no physician that has a perfect track record. But the ability for a physician to be there for you with support, treatment options and even just making one feel comfortable in their last stages of life is who you want. You can't do better than Dr. Cohen .Because of my particular illness he is the best gatekeeper for me. I feel blessed to be able to acquire his knowledge,, his willingness to learn, the time he takes with patients and the selflessness that he displays, and his aforementioned empathy. My mother needed an X-ray to complete the paperwork, and Ruby personally contacted the insurance company to help get it covered. The office has super thin walls so you hear everything in the rooms + the common corridor I was told that patients are to examine their own lab results and that the doctor does not review them unless specifically asked by patients or when the lab calls him for life threatening results The doc marked off and billed my insurance for every test besides the 1 test that was concerning and what I had actually come in for Dealing with the billing after each visit was just as unenthusiastic as the appointment itself When I questioned the invoice from the lab, I was told that I, as the patient need to tell the doctor what tests he needs to ask the lab for Unfortunately, In my experience with this office, It felt like all they want to do the bare minimum & just bill your insurance and they don't actually care about the actual patients :-/

This review is long overdue…read more In Dec 2017, I went to see the doctor because he advertises that he specializes in MAT. When I first called to inquire about his services, I was told by a receptionist that he does quick consultations over the phone but the fee was a bit ridiculous. Just to confirm that he does offer MAT. I declined and made an appointment as I was desperate. Two appointments later, and still no MAT. He's always running late because he takes his time with each patient. When my lab work came back, I felt he was a little over the top regarding my anemia results. He insisted I go to an ER asap for a blood transfusion and called my colon surgeon to discuss my lab results. After seeing my colon surgeon, he high fived me when I said I felt Dr Jacobs was overly dramatic. Obviously, my surgeon felt similar. Actually, he said the same thing. He was also annoyed because Dr Jacobs performed a rectal exam and my surgeon said NO ONE but a specialist in gastroenterology should be doing that kind of exam on a patient with lower GI issues or disease. I had already felt uncomfortable during the exam, and after hearing that, I felt more violated. Even my husband was surprised. It's like, Stay in your lane! Nearly $1000 spent trying to get treatment for one thing, and I left with zero MAT and a rectal probe and a lot of what I felt was hysteria. Conversely, my gastroenterologist (not to be confused with colon surgeon) thinks highly of him, so it is up to you to take your chances. I felt I wasted an extraordinary amount of time and money trying to get treatment for something that is treated more straightforward by other doctors.

I notified Cedars and they conducted an investigation regarding the office. Genuinely hoping that improvement has been made.
