This review is long overdue. We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowe's in Paris, TN and…read morehad issues from day one. Frigidaire set us up with Sears Home Service to begin with. For an entire year (full length of manufacturers warranty) they could not fix the excessively loud grinding/ squealing noise that the icemaker made. They kept moving appointment dates out month by month on the night before our appointment until finally Frigidaire told me to call Ward Elkins Inc. out of Murray, KY and tell them that Frigidaire could not repair our refrigerator. Jorge came and replaced our icemaker and it worked for a couple of weeks then started making the same loud noise again. When I called them about the problem Jorge was quick to respond again. I'm not sure if it was the same icemaker unit that he replaced it with this last time or if he found an alternative but he fixed our problem. It's been 4 months now and it's working perfectly with no loud obnoxious noises. Jorge also educated me on a few things pertaining to our icemaker and using it with well water. Things that we should have been told by Lowe's or Frigidaire. So Ward Elkins Inc repaired a refrigerator that both Frigidaire and Sears Home Service was unable to repair. I would very highly recommend them for appliance repair and if we need any repairs ourselves going forward, then we will be giving Jorge a call. He was friendly, professional and provided a bit of education as well. He fixed what the manufacturer couldn't even fix.

I had hoped to update the review with a really positive customer satisfaction ending. Unfortunately, he has not responded to multiple Yelp messages and has not responded to text messages either for 3 weeks, so the update is just a rotten cherry on top of a really crappy cake. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a huge disappointment. While there were only a few reviews for Decks Appliance repair, they were all good. Unfortunately, other than his initial responsiveness, my experience with Santee couldn't be any further from good. Santee was very nice and personable, and he arrived when he said he would to diagnose my oven. Unfortunately, after that it all went downhill. While he was diagnosing the problem: - he dropped tiny screws several times because his screw driver was not magnetic - he did not bring a rolling stand to pull out the oven, so he was unable to test the thermal fuse on the back, but said there was not one - when he was testing, he broke one of the connectors for the heating element, but he said he would fix it at no charge - he "diagnosed" one of the relay boards as bad I ordered the replacement part per his suggestion and it arrived as scheduled. Santee said he would install it the next day, but a week and a day later, he finally returned to install it. He parked in our freshly powerwashed driveway when he arrived. After about 30 minutes, he left his tools, but he had to leave to pick up something from Home Depot to finish the job. When he left we noticed there were several puddles of oil where he parked. When he returned, he parked on the street and left similar puddles of oil there. Sadly, he still did not have a stand for the oven and asked if he could borrow my step tool. After he replaced the relay board he indicated the wires for the element had slipped and he could not reach them. He needed to pick-up another tool. But this time, he packed everything up when he left. After 45 minutes, he called to say he would not return until the next day. At this point, I fired Santee. He did not argue with my reason, and agreed to refund the diagnostic fee, so I could hire another technician. A tech from Top Notch appliance arrived in 2 days with all the proper tools and repaired the damaged element connector properly (Santee crimped it when it should have been soldered). He also indicated the relay board did not need to be replaced as the thermal fuse on the back of the oven was tripped. This meant the $190 part was a complete waste of money, but I could not return it as Santee opened and installed it... Santee was a nice man, but clearly not prepared to diagnose and repair my double oven. And driving a vehicle that leaks oil to a customer's home is terribly unprofessional.

It seems with a 2 out of 5 star rating already, I'm not alone in how I feel about this company…read more Beware of it and the service manager Anna who is truly the most unprofessional manager I've ever dealt with. I live in town and they charged me $187 to show up and determine that a noisy blower was normal and that nothing could be done to fix it. The tech was a kid with obvious lack of experience and spent about 15 minutes "turning the blower down" which had no affect on it and then followed up with "I can't leave it like this or it could be a fire hazard or potentially burn your blower out". Total time actually working was about 30 minutes. Forget about used car dealers taking advantage of customers, this is next level. Concerned, I emailed them that they sent me an invoice for the service fee (I agree that's fair) but they also charged me for an hour of tech time. They have already sent me 2 invoices demanding payment in the past week and a half which is very pushy. In my email I said I have doorbell video confirming when the tech came and left and they didn't quote me $187 for the service call initially, nothing was done while here, I asked for the labor to be removed or I would pay the balance and dispute it. It's simply not fair. Anna immediately flew into a frenzy and responded in a long email demanding to see my video, and threatening collections plus 35% if I disputed their charges. After a few completely unprofessional emails, it became clear that these people are only there to gouge customers, then threaten them into paying ridiculous charges. The burden is not on customers to provide proof of what their techs did and that charges are fair. I was a Dealership Service Manager for many years and I would never dream of treating a customer like that. If a diagnostic charge was unjustified, I would discuss it with a customer professionally to come to a mutually beneficial solution. NOT what this company did. You lost a customer, I know you don't care. But you will probably lose a few more from this review, and everyone I come in contact with when HVAC comes up. Very disappointing. STAY AWAY!

Just called the after hours line and was told there a 2-3 week wait now. Not great. Shouldn't make appointments if you can't keep them, and at least should call and notify customers if they aren't coming. I get that it's hot and there is a lot of demand, but if communication was clear we would have went with an alternative.
