Our group of 6 have enjoyed many (3 or 4 a year for many years) escape rooms. We have escaped them all with minimal help but we had to have constant help trying to escape The Oval Office and the Lake House. Several of the contraptions did not work and some of the locks did not work or were not part of the puzzle but were not labeled. It was frustrating not being able to find where to start and the puzzles did not flow, leading you to the next task. Some puzzles were ridiculously difficult and could never be figured out without help! The staff were patient and helpful but I felt bad that they had to come help so much leaving the front lobby often empty! We would not waste our $$$ again! read more

My family and I had a great time! we did the Oval Office room which had a 20% success rate. We had 60 minutes to decode messages and find clues around the room to disarm a "bomb". We didn't end up getting to the final code before the time ran out, but it was still a lot of fun! Highly recommend and will come back to try again! read more

Terrible Experience and Escape Room Motel 259. We have all been to many escape rooms so for my husband 60th birthday celebration thought we would add the Escape Room. We arrived and began red the 3 papers of check in the game we were able to unlock the bag where there were a clues after getting the biblical chapters and verses to unlock the lock all 6 of us tried to unlock the safe no luck we asked for a clue - where the young lady came in and just told us the same thing we told her. SO we called again for another clue since we were at 15 minute we asked her to open the safe using the code. She tried several times and was not able to open the safe. She said I will use the key. We asked her to show us with the code that it can be opened and she never could. I asked has anyone ever made it through and the answer in no. We were disappointed it was a horrible experience. Terrible service. Showed up our room wasn't ready. Didn't tell us any information about what they were doing. Said they were having technical difficulties and said it would take five minutes multiple times. 45 minutes later they still said they were having technical difficulties and said we could wait or refund. Supervisor couldn't even face us. Had to send her minion to break the news. Ended up leaving so hopefully they give us a refund. Don't recommend AND the rooms looked shitty anyway. read more

My husband and I love escape rooms, and we decided to include Hochatown Escape Games as part of our Thanksgiving getaway.  We opted for the "Cabin in the Woods" room at the North location.  The price point was better than other escape rooms that we have done.  And our storyline was engaging and interesting.  However, we had multiple items in the room that did not work well and cost us precious time.  They could upgrade just a few things to make this good experience a great one. We plan to try one of the other rooms the next time that we vacation in the area...and hope for redemption! :) read more

Rated by an experienced Escaper. Two stars are being award only because it is what it claims to be, and escape ROOM. Bomb Squad was very basic and underwhelming. The decorations and props were extremely cheap and half were broken. Little thought was given to the themes and not everything ties together, leaving you rather confused and forced to use your "hints". read more

Super low-budget operation with pricing like the better escape rooms. Clues had very little to do with the escape. Looked like they grabbed some stuff they got off the curb or at a yard sale and put it in there. The staff was very nice, and the restroom was pretty clean. We were in from out of town for Thanksgiving and accidentally made our reservation for the incorrect day. The place was totally booked up but they still found a way to reach out to us a little while later and squeeze us in at the last minute. We did the Bomb Detonation escape room (half of us had never done an escape room before) and had a fantastic time. Kelsie at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating and we're so happy we got to check this place out. Five stars! The room itself was pretty challenging but we used two hints and finished it with just a little bit of time to spare. read more

It was...ok. We have done many escape rooms and this was pretty basic. Not much decor to give you the sense of being somewhere. Just a regular room filled with some puzzles. This was the second one we have done and we're underwhelmed both times. read more

Me and my party had a good time. The Cabin in the Woods room was a good experience. It wasn't too easy nor difficult. Other rooms I have visited were legit too difficult but this was def my speed. We got out in like 40 mins. Cost was very affordable so if you are looking for a quick activity while you are on your cabin trip, this is the spot. read more

Cabin in the Woods: We spent Easter weekend in a cabin nearby, and my husband and I decided to see if there was an escape room - and were happy to find there is! While the kids went off for mini golf, some of us adults came here to enjoy the room, and had a great time. We were paired up with two other groups, both of which we saw again at dinner that night. This was a great addition to our trip and we'd gladly come back when we are in the area again. Theme: This was very simple and the props were in line with what we expected, but some of it was a little plain. Quality:In great shape and well maintained. Difficulty:There was a good mix of easy and hard things - we spent a good amount of time on some things where the whole group worked together. Too difficult for children ages 8 & 10. Made reservation for 1 arrived at 12:30 but sign said hrs are 1-4. When the young girl arrived at 12:50 another 4 adults arrived shortly after stating they had reservations for the same cabin/same time. I wish we would of just done a refund. We went ahead & went along as we were split between 2 cabins. The cabin in the woods is the one we did & one of the clues involved using a magnet to get a bracelet from a plumbing tube however the tube was so long the bracelet kept dropping & we wasted a good 10-15 minutes on it as the girl was in the other cabin with the other group. This is a bit challenging. Me and my family finished the cabin in the wood escape room and it was hard. You had to get 4 different codes for 4 different things and had to use black lights and strings. It is hard but if you think you are smart enough to do it try odds are you will succeed. read more

We just did the Cabin in the Woods Escape Room with our family of 10. We really had a great time! We worked well together and solved it with a few minutes to spare. It was very challenging but we had a great time! We plan to do this when we come back again to Broken Bow. Great activity while you're here in the cabins. read more

This place was so much fun and unlike anything we've ever experienced. If you are vacationing in Broken Bow this is an amazing experience for families AND couples. We will definitely be back next time we are in Broken Bow. They are adding a second room soon! read more
