Food Truck on Sunday 03/30/25 at Wonder Con in Anaheim
Rick S.

The pizza was actually very good as were the portions, but the food price on the trucks is a bit expensive coupled by the fact the person taking the order didn't understand what I was requesting and placed a more expensive order that could have been easily avoided and not unfair to the Pizza company nor the customer, if anything saving the company on 1/2 portion of pepperoni with the request of buying 1 full pizza at $23 but just not putting pepperoni on 1/2 essentially relegating it to being a cheese pizza on half. Instead I got an order for an individual 1/2 Cheese Pizza for $13 and a separate 1/2 Pepperoni Pizza for $13... yet it was a whole pizza done the way I asked for and not 2 separate half pizzas I paid for... ??? So, I felt overcharged by $3 which is where the Yelp star rating goes to * * * which isn't bad at all, it's A-Okay... but could be or have been better had the ordering process not frustrate me

Full order margherita pizza

Perhaps the food truck serves great pizzas at other events but I was pretty disappointed on the margherita pizza at WonderCon. Although the pizza crust was soft it was really flimsy and not hot to the touch. Mozzarella slices were quite rubbery and not melty at all. I had half of a full order pizza and was still hungry. Not worth the $25 to me.

This might be the best pizza I've ever had. Our office complex in Irvine started hosting bi-weekly food trucks at lunch and Hobo Co Pizza was here the first week. Never had a pizza from a food truck but was intrigued. The lady who took my order was super friendly and we had a nice little chat while I was ordering. Took only about 10 minutes for my order to be ready and I took it back to my office. I was pleasantly greeted by a wonderful looking pizza on first glance, prepared the way I like it. Cooked perfectly with a thin crust with a nice thick, bubbly, slightly charred edge, certainly passed the visual inspection. It only got better from there, the first bite was incredible. The crust is the star of this pizza, has a nice light crisp on the outside and a perfect chew. The sauce is exceptional, both in flavor and application, not too much, not too little, just the right amount. I can confidentially say this is the best pizza to ever grace the borders of Irvine, unfortunately it's not a permanent fixture here, although I hope they come back frequently. I'll certainly be letting Irvine Co. know how I feel about them and requesting they invite them back often.

I work in a very boring, vanilla biz park in Irvine, CA. A few times a few food trucks pop in to offer their food and most are fairly meh... Of all the different things I could have gotten from a food truck, pizza was not what I expected to be the star amongst so many other trucks... hobo is making a great pizza considering it's doing it on a truck. I have gotten it 2x and the quality is consistent! Service is fast and friendly. The personal sizes pie is out in about 8-10min and it's so worth it!!! If you have the chance to try it, don't hesitate!

Pizza was decent. Both times ordering. Pretty disappointed they couldn't add such a simple request; extra basil to a half pizza but supposedly they can't for a full. Would love to know the reasoning behind that ingenious plan.

Still the best pizza ever. Tried the meat lovers today. Fast and friendly service. I wish they had a brick and mortar store.

Chick-N-Out was one of the most highly rated places in Anaheim California. Chick-N-Out is located on Ball Road near Disneyland. It's open daily from 5:00 P.M to 11:00 P.M. Extended hours are on Fridays and Saturdays. This pop up food truck offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, French Fries, wraps, nachos, tenders and more! Most of their combo meals cost between $18.00-$20.00 each. My husband and I both ordered a chicken sandwich combo. My Chicken sandwich only had pickles on it, but he had everything added to his sandwich! There were a few customers ahead of us, so we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for the order. After we got our meal, we decided to eat it in our car fresh instead of bringing it back to the hotel. The chicken sandwich was so delicious! It was super crunchy. I think it was deep fried with the corn flake crust. It was one of the more unique chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken cutlet was relatively thin, but still scrumptious! I haven't had anything like this before! The French Fries were good. They needed a little bit more salt for me. The Cajun corn was slightly spicy. The cooks in the food truck prepare the orders from scratch. While we were waiting for the order, we saw a lot of the chicken cutlets being prepared and deep fried. I really enjoyed eating at Chick-N-Out. It's one of my new favorite places to eat at near Disneyland!

I liked how they had a bar for salsa, cold veggies (cucumber, radish, etc...) but also cooked veggies (onions, jalapeño) to go with the tacos. The tacos themselves were delicious! I did wish I could have tried their asada (they sold out) for the day. I got the cabeza, suadero and my husband for the al pastor. Husband really enjoyed his al pastor and I thoroughly enjoyed the cabeza. Portions are fairly decent. One downside was the space itself- the ventilation in the restaurant is poor.

The store front is easy to find as they have a large visible sign showing "CHURROS" near the street. The items can get pricey, as I recently picked up just an ice cream with churros and bag of churros which ended up at $20. There's a $1 charge on credit cards which also seems a bit like charging the customer on any business transaction. The location is a decent size so it could definitely fit groups and such. Unfortunately my visit did not really go well, as after ordering and receiving a buzzer to let us know when the order is complete, we waited for over 10 minutes to have other customers place orders after us and receive their orders before our buzzer went off. Eventually, one of the associates noticed we had been waiting for a while and came to us to ask if we had placed an order already. For some reason, the buzzer was not programmed to our order, and I ended up asking the cashier for my receipt to confirm that my order was placed. This was frustrating as we had originally entered the store as the only guests and 3 other parties had entered the store after us and received their orders before us. Fortunately, the associates closest to us near the pick up order section noticed that we had been waiting for an extended period of time and came out to ask what we had ordered to help us make our missing order. I have no idea how our order was missed but it was not a great experience to wait in a store with no AC (only the front doors propped open for ventilation) and there was no real apology for the mishap. However, we're very appreciative of some of the staff members noticing that we had been patiently waiting for our order.

Well that did not happen to me when I finally got to try a Lobster roll from the famous LobstaTruck. A few years ago I was at the Tustin AMC when I saw the truck. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. A few months ago I was somewhere that they were going to be only to learn that the truck broke down and the killer was last month when I was in Irvine and saw on Twitter that they were a couple blocks away. I finished my meeting and drove right over only to see the driving away. Aaahhgggg!!!! So today was a few miles away in Long Beach and decided to try the roll. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup. The Marine that was eating next to me also had the soup and it really made me crave it but I had a big breakfast this morning and so I will have to chase down this truck again.
