I love this place! Really don't come often enough, plus there are some great deals. Not like other craft stores where EVERYTHING is overpriced. Most of the employees were friendly but I'm giving 3 stars because as soon as I got to the check out the girl at the register dropped her smile and was very condescending towards me. Hobby Lobby - Fabric Stores Near Me - Toledo, Ohio

Come here all the time have never had a bad experience but today I walked around for 15 minutes looking for a fine/medium grit sanding sponge, finally went up front and asked the woman who was working and she gave me the most odd directions to find it, headed to the back of the store anyways in hopes of finally finding it, looked around for about 10 more minutes still nothing, ran into another worker and asked for the same thing hoping she would show me to the item, she proceeds to say she does not know where they are but would assume they are in the wood section, told her I just looked for a while and couldn't find them, still had no clue as to where they are. So I'm just left wondering what happened to good customer service, I would expect someone to direct me if I cannot find an item but no one seemed to know anything about this product. If you need a sanding sponge go to Michael's lol read more

While the service, selection and store itself is nice ... the ladies restrooms is terrible! It's always very dirty, broken doors, toilet seals are gone... It's been terrible for years. Sure wish they'd update them. Nothing like going into a restroom and feeling more dirty after you wash and leave? Let's do better Hobby Lobby- please!? read more

the store is nice and I enjoy shopping there, however I was very disappointed about their return policy. I bought some slime for my son and it needed to be mixed in with some other ingredient. After mixing the ingredients it didn't turn out like slime it was more like paste and it got everywhere. I only opened one of the three containers that were in the box. I had the receipt and no where on the receipt does it state that opened items cannot be returned. I go into this store to return the item and they won't do it because it has been opened. All the materials that came with it were in there so I don't understand why it couldn't be returned. It was only $10 so I wasn't upset but I think Hobby Lobby should review their return policy and make it more convienent for their customers. I will now think twice about buying certain products from here. read more

Doing some Christmas shopping, everything Christmas was 50% off, some great deals, large selection. But, Long lines for check out, friend & I we're thinking of abandoning our carts & leaving. Then, Robin appeared, opening lanes, directing people to shortest lines. Every place of business needs a Robin, her first concern was the customer and she did it with a smile & lots of holiday spirit. We left with some great deals and smiles on our faces. read more

DO NOT GO TO MICHAEL's! Hobby Lobby is a great place to get all of you arts and crafts supplies. They have just about anything you need, and anything you didn't realize you needed at great prices. There's usually some large discount or another on many of the things in the store. The Michael's further down Monroe, conversely, charges $70 for a $40 set of Prismacolor pencils, and the other items I checked on seemed to be similarly marked up 40% more than they should be! At Hobby Lobby, from what I can tell, things are what they should be priced at, or lower! The owners are apparently Jesus (er-hem) followers and the store is not open on Sundays, which is when I went to Michael's instead, got disgusted, and left to wait for Hobby Lobby to open again the next day. It made me sad, because Michael's had five times the customers there (it was Christmas season) than I've ever seen at Hobby Lobby. Don't be that person. Patronize Hobby Lobby when possible! read more

Love this store. The ladies in the fabric department are really nice. I met the manager, Ken. I stopped him in the store because he appeared to be the manager and told him how nice his workers were in the fabric department. He was pleased to hear that and was very personable. read more

I stopped by to get a promotion warrant framed and matted and have to say that the process was quick and painless, thanks to Megan in framing. This is the first time that I've ever had anything framed and I was worried about cost as well as the entire process. I'm not the most artistic person and having zero experience could've lead to a headache. But, I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and saved over $100 by not going to Michaels. We'll see how the product turns in two weeks though... read more

I prefer HL over the other place nearby, as even with the coupons for the other place, I usually find the same items cheaper at Hobby Lobby. They have a larger selection of items, and it is easier to find what you are looking for. Plus, the aisles are plenty wide enough for carts to pass in opposite directions. This past Christmas, I was in the market for a new Christmas tree, and while they didn't have the one I wanted in stock at this location, the salesfloor attendant in the holiday section helped me locate one at another store, and also offered advice about using a coupon from the paper. She was very helpful and saved me a bit of money! read more

After searching other craft stores I found myself here. Due to their media sensation I have stayed away from this store. I am very happy I decided to go back here. While I do not agree with their business practices they make media news for, I love that I can find so many items I wish to purchase under one roof. I love their products before, but they have expanded to include even more that I like. read more

The most poorly managed craft store ever. It was a busy Saturday morning, and they had only one register open. There were exactly 14 people in line, and I had a return. The front end supervisor, Robin, was so rude and not helpful. The manager Dan was just standing around like Robin instead of actually helping to get customers through the line. I had also purchased several breakable items that needed to be wrapped before getting bagged, so Robin said she'd wrap. I don't know of she has ADD, but she couldn't sit still and just get the stuff wrapped. Instead, I waited 20 minutes to have my merchandise bagged while she pranced around doing absolutely nothing productive. Meanwhile, Dan was just watching several angry customers in line. Finally, I grabbed some paper and started wrapping the items myself. I should also mention that they didn't ring up merchandise correctly. I had to return some charging plates because they were the wrong color, and the manager at another hobby lobby wouldn't take them back because the dumb cashier rang them as paper crafting on the receipt. For those of us who are crafty (and those of us who aren't), Hobby Lobby provides oodles of home accessories, tchotchkies, doodads, and knickknacks to suit many styles. They are a full service craft store (much like Michael's) with fabric to boot. Their home decorator fabric selection is pretty nice, and if you watch the sales you can re-cover that cushion for 40% off! There is a framing department (which I've never used) and a large floral department, but I can't comment on their selection (I don't know how to decorate with flowers). You can spend part of an afternoon just browsing ALL the little things for your home! read more

The store has a really good selection of products, better than Michaels in my opinion. Note, their cash register system is older than dirt. If you look at a receipt, good luck figuring out what is what. I've shopped at this store quite a few times and have figured out that they don't scan anything. They put in generic dept codes and then hunt and peck at the register to type in a price. Please note that EVERY time I've been here they miss sales and promotions. Meaning I have to tell them something is 40% percent off or what have you. So do watch them carefully. After you tell them they then go and check a sheet or some sort to confirm the correct discount. It's not effective and causes lines. A customer shouldn't be required to tell the cashier what every single store promo is - the register should be smarter than that. read more

Very upset. We stop by and had a hard time finding someone to help us. We rang the bell two different times waiting for someone to help. We got fabric to make my grandkids blankets. After watching he cut fabric not straight and even telling her so. She assured us it was being cut correctly. We spent over 100 dollars and when making blankets we had to trim at least a yard of fabric so they would match. Next time I will try walmart instead. read more

Many Hobby Lobby's are exceptional craft stores, with their wide varieties and fair prices. But this one is an absolute nightmare. After I found someone to ask where the jersey frames were, they directed me to the frame department. The woman there was one of the most rude employees I have ever dealt with. She would not acknowledge me, when I asked her a question or said hello. She simply pointed in a non-specific area, mumbling 'It's over there'. Once I spoke with the manager, she did not do much about the situation. The staff at this store comes across lazy and is overall unhelpful. If you stop by, expect to have to find everything yourself without any employees doing their job. read more
