I personally had a great visit. I actually called in before I came and asked about frames. The young lady informed me about a framing department, transferred me, next thing you know I'm at hobby lobby. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I was directed to the framing department and there I got the help from an employee named Janice. She was amazing to say the least. She informed me on the sale, grabbed the perfect frames, framed everything I needed, sold me on another frame for a future project, and all while keeping great conversation. Wish you guys would honor online prices .... So disappointed. It makes no sense to me.

I love Hobby lobby, but checking out can really be a pain. I went there last night to shop and checked out around 7 PM. There was only one person for checkout and one person for exchange & returns. There was a very long line and people were very frustrated, and on top of that their were many people working that night. I kindly asked them if someone can please open up a register because there's so many of us waiting in line and she looked at me and said no sorry. I was shocked by her response, and a few minutes later, she finally decided to open up a register, but helped somebody else. It's so sad that somebody has to say something for customers to get help. I would like to note that the other coworkers that we're all available all saw that there was a long line, but did not care. read more

A new Hobby Lobby in the neighborhood!! Loving that is so close to me! It is located next to the new Costco in McKinney. I've always loved Hobby Lobby, they have a good selection of arts and crafts, small furniture, home decor, and fabric. Went there 12 days ago, filled my cart with everything I needed, went to use the bathroom and they were completely shut down and barricaded so I left my full cart and went to Michaels. Yesterday I went back got a few things I needed but restroom was STILL closed so I quickly paid and told the cashier that I would have bought more but the restrooms are STILL closed and they are losing money because I'm sure there are tons of people with small bladders! In late yesterday afternoon. MANY people walking around with no mask on right next to employees and the employees did nothing. Hello. COVID-D is not done. Just like Hobby Lobby was open when they were supposed to be shut down for quarantine....I guess they just don't understand plain directions. I still can't believe what happened to me. At the register, Marissa the cashier, held up the Super Glue and with a snotty attitude and tone asked where did I get this from? I looked at her perplexed, and she said, "It does not have a price tag." She then asked, "How much is it?" I told her I got it from the glue section on a isle at the back of the store and the price on the shelf was 3 dollars. She then stated, "Well I can't ring this up without a price tag." I did not respond, just looked back at her. It is amazing to me that this employee felt it was my fault the product was placed on the shelf without a price tag. I thought, I do not work here, what the heck? There was another employee hanging around the cash register with a clip board in her hand (line monitor?). Marissa waved her over and stated she did not know the price of this Super Glue. The employee told her she will need to look it up and reached under the cash register and gave Marissa a binder. Marissa flip a few pages and said it wasn't in the binder. The employee told her to ask for help over the PA. Marissa spoke into the mike, "Code 4 on register 8(?)." We stood there for a few minutes, but there was no response to the page. The same employee (line monitor) came back up to Marissa because the line for her register was getting long and noticed it was not moving. The employee/line monitor then motioned to several employees standing around at the front of the store talking. Someone from the group came over to Marissa and asked what was going on. Marissa told her the Super Glue did not have a price tag and she could not find the price. The employee then took the Super Glue and walked back up to the group of employees standing at the front. I watched them all to see who would be going to the back of the store to get a price off the shelf. To my amazement they just stood around talking to each other. The store manager Karen then walked away from the group. They continued to discuss the situation and then the glue was handed off to another employee to find out the price. This did not happen, instead she went back to the group for more discussion. Eventually she walked back over to Marissa and whispered to Marissa, "What price did the customer think it was?" Marissa rolled her eyes and said 3 dollars. The employee then responded, (unintelligible name) said to charge $4.99. I could not believe my ears and decided I would handle the overcharge with the store manager, Once Marissa handed me my receipt, I picked up my bag and went back to the isle I found the Super Glue on and pick up another Super Glue with the price tag on it. I then walked up to another cash register right by Marissa's and told her I was just overcharged on my purchase. I showed her both Super Glues and my receipt with $4.99 overcharge and then the price tag which reflected $2.99. The cashier told me I would have to go to registers 1 or 2 to get a refund. The registers had a customer service sign over them and a line with about 10 people in it. I then walked up to the front of the store where the group of employees were standing and stated I wanted to talk to the store manager. One of the employees walked away stating she would get Karen the store manager. Another employee, the one who gave the wrong price, stated she would help me after going up to Karen to let her know she would handle it. I told her what had happened and that she was the one who stated to overcharge me for the Super Glue. She stated she was a customer service supervisor and she would take care of the refund at register 1, I was to stay right there. She later returned to me so that they could refund my debit card the difference. There was no apology from any of these employees. I felt like they were stealing from me. I know it's only $2, but it's the principle. Most stores do not make it the customer's fault the store failed to put a price tag on the product before placing it on the shelf. I can only imagine how many other customers have been overcharged. I cannot recommend shopping here. If you can find all products with price tags, make sure the price is the same as on the shelf, watch the cashier closely, and review the prices being charged. If any of the prices are wrong, do not complete the transaction or pay. read more

I was harassed by 2 members of the staff for not wearing a mask. The store manager, Nick, hunted me down when I was adhering to the 6 ft distance rule required by the governor's ordinance. If you can maintain 6 ft, you don't need to wear a mask. You are also exempt for medical and mental issues, and you are NOT required to disclose your medical information. He told me that if I don't give him proof of my medical condition, he would call the police and I would be subject to a $250 fine. I told him to go right ahead. I am very close with MPD and Nick obviously didn't know that his business would be fined, not me, if he chose to make an issue of out this. Hobby Lobby needs to READ the actual mask ordinance and the American Disability Act. You have been reported and are being boycotted on a MASSIVE level. Congratulations. You won at radical discrimination. It should reflect in your sales. Nice work. Way to look like Jesus, treating people like lepers. Disgusting. read more
