There were a few ladies working who were all super friendly. The only fabrics (barring I think two bolts of solid cotton knit and some utility type fabrics) are quilting cottons. There are many options, and a great assortment of indie patterns, quilting focused notions, interfacings, thread (mettler, the best brand imo), and an assortment of machines. I asked about service costs for my serger that hasn't been serviced since it was purchased nearly 25 years ago. I was quoted $165 which I think is pretty reasonable. I loved all the little finished projects (especially the cute flamingo bags!) and the nice workspace in the back. The store is super clean and feels new.

I wanted something in the super fine. Talked myself out of buying the canvas they sell for it because you can up cycle old jeans for it. Fits my purpose perfectly. I want to make cute custom patches. Starting small and latter ill do like a big one like for jacket or to hang on a wall. I will be back for a circuit in the future. Im interested on a the cutter or the iron and sublimation ones. They made a compact of the cutter one also. I dont have alot of room, this would serve my purpose perfectly. The cup one and iron ones be great for like going to fairs n opening a table to do "on the spot" jobs. Did the mistake of going to the bargain corner. Picked up a car model lit for 7.50. I thought it was like the old school ones i used to buy when i was a kid. They are not. They used to be made of metal. This one was like pvc. Very delicate. I will share the finished one when done. This is second time I've walked in, spent time and never once was smiled at, greeted with a hello or ever asked if I needed some help. Wandering yesterday (after 1 hour drive to get there), with fabric samples in my hands, I was totally ignored. Zeez, I was nicely dressed, smiled at the woman sitting in the back area on the phone and then not on the phone, but she still ignored me. Other woman was helping someone & then she was 'free'. Totally ignored. There is a total dearth of fabric stores in Pinellas & Hillsborough Counties now and Sarasota has one fabric store. Me, no longer playing this game. Road trip to Atlanta is on my horizon as there are at least 3 huge fabric stores just in downtown alone. They even offer classes here which I'm definitely going to look into. I'm new to sewing so I can't say much about the value of the fabrics, but they seem to have a variety of prices. All of the employees that I interacted with were very friendly and explained what fabric I was getting. I even asked them for some tips and they were happy to help. I was told they also do a sale on the 4th of July so I may make a stop here to get some more fabric. Overall, if you're new to sewing or have been sewing for a while (and you haven't checked his place out), I would definitely recommend going.

Our experience was a mixed bag. No greetings. No introductions. I was there for a sewing machine as mine ended up in storage in another state. Finally found a clerk willing to help me out, did the paperwork and actually was rejected for the payment plan. Zero redirect to the reconditioned machines as a possibility, which my daughter had found when we split up. *I only mention the rejection because we left, went to another store who used the exact same company for payment plans and was approved in minutes & walked out with what could easily be described as a higher value machine (&yes, price) in no time. Back to this store. I have no idea the organization of this store. I'm more of a clothes maker than quilting, but really only found formal wear materials and some others. Also buttons, but kinda sparse selections. I usually sew church clothes & work clothes but also other random items like pj's. All that to say, it didn't come across as a fabric store where a variety of styles are supported. I was persona non grata after my "denial" so the items I was purchasing outright got put back. I didn't have the plague & I had cash. Just not $3k+ in cash. Unsure how the business stays afloat as this is not a way to attract repeat business. My daughter saw how I was ignored and put her items back as well. Question for the owner. Is this a common style of customer service that you want to present? Why did the other shop offer a payment plan with the exact same company for a higher priced item than your store did?
