We had an appointment last weekend for four of us. When we arrived, we had an extra child and were told that we would be required to pay a 12% gratuity because of the size of our party. I'm unsure what the gratuity would be for. We were shown the policy - it said for parties of 6 and up - which we clarified and she said she miscounted. There was no service offered other than a brief training on how to do the craft. We were not allowed to choose our own colors but were encouraged to pick from the ones that were pre-opened to not be wasteful. When we picked our pieces, we were warned many times that we would be charged if we were wasteful in our usage of the clay - and clearly that is a subjective decision. When asked at the end any advice on getting the clay out of clothing, she said "it doesn't" - which would have been helpful to know at the beginning when you have 3 kids under 10. I asked if they had aprons - and mentioned that it would have been helpful if this doesn't come out of clothes - and she said they do, but it's only available for parties and for an extra fee. Again - communication would have been incredibly helpful up front. At the end, we were cleaning up our station and the employee asked us to put away the four remaining beads that were left on the table. It seemed like an easy way for her to help us get out the door more quickly when she had nothing else to do but sit on her phone. At the end she wrote down the dry times for our pieces - 5 days - which again - would have been helpful to know at the beginning. Lastly - they sold some glass cups that our daughters wanted. One was marked $13, one $15 for the same cup. When we asked - she said they were $15, but there is a deal at 2 for $30. Not sure where the deal is in that - and when we made that comment - she shrugged -clearly annoyed. For a unique art place such as this, where creativity and art should be encouraged - there was a very big missed opportunity in making this a special place - I won't be back.

Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.

For example, I ended up choosing very small broken mosaic pieces without realizing they're harder to work with. It would have helped if beginners were guided toward easier options. We also weren't given any patterns or examples unless we specifically asked. I think the workshop works better for people who already have experience. For beginners, it felt a bit stressful--especially since the environment seemed more focused on socializing and chatting rather than teaching. She did give us a free necklace from a previous event, which was a nice gesture. My final tray didn't turn out bad, but it wasn't great either, it has an uneven surface, maybe resin on the top would help but that had extra charge. Overall, it was a good experience to try once, but it could be much more beginner-friendly.

As first-time students, however, we would have appreciated a bit more guidance and step-by-step instruction, especially at the beginning of the class. To be fair, our group chose designs that were more complex than many of the other projects in the room, which likely added to the challenge. Still, there were moments when we felt unsure about what the next steps should be and could have benefited from more clarification and direction. One of my friends became so overwhelmed and frustrated by the process that she ended up leaving the class early. I believe a little more hands-on support for beginners could make a big difference in helping new students feel confident and successful. That said, Amy was kind, and it's clear that she cares about her business and her students. With a bit more structured guidance for first-time attendees, I think this experience could be even better. Overall, it was a creative and enjoyable outing, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to try something different and artistic.

Can I just say WOW?! I've been to at least a hundred yarn shops and boutiques, because I travel to…read moresee them. This one is hands down my favorite yarn selection. She doesn't have malabrigo, because she understands the value of her shop space; she's using it to curate the finest selection of fibers and yarn bases I have ever seen and cutting out the yarns you can find everywhere. She's also has the largest selection of BIPOC owned and dyed yarns I have ever seen, if you're looking to support that! Meredith was super nice and greeted me when I entered but didn't hover over me and let me look around. If you actually look at all of the yarns she's got, be prepared to spend at least an hour in the shop. I took tons of pictures so that you can see what I saw-- a very finely curated selection of superwash and non-superwash yarns, hand dyed and local yarns, as well as some of the finest that Europe has to offer. She even has CaMaRose Snefnug, which I had never seen in a shop before. It's all priced competitively and the whole shop is decorated beautifully in a rainbow of colors.
