Drove to this place today and there was a note on the door to call if no one was there. Another…read morelady was also there. Neither of us had been before. The place was total chaos and you could almost not get in the door. The guy told us they do 30% of their business the month before or something like that. I could see in 2 side rooms and they all were a mess. I asked him if we could walk through but then asked if they had any bags for gifts: No. The other lady wanted ribbon so he said he'd need to show her where it was. I knew that this was NOT my kind of place to shop. He did mention calling first... but it's unclear why you have to call. And the sign on the door said to call if he wasn't there. The other lady behind me said she had called but no one answered. So, if you think you feel like a drive and might want to take a look, either be sure to call and actually talk to someone or just find another place to try. I will not be going back and do not recommend.

Also, they've been hit hard by COVID (wholesale shows canceled, employee deaths, etc.) and really could use your support right now. Let's make sure this small business stays in business! A few tips: 1. Cash or check only. Come prepared! 2. Google Maps will take you to the wrong street. It told me to turn on Sherman. This is obviously incorrect, but I spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure that out. Turn on FLOYD CIRCLE and drive past a bunch of auto shops until you're at the end of the circle. Under Wraps will be the very last warehouse on the left, just as the circle starts forcing you to turn. 3. The door opens onto two sort of cluttered offices. When I arrived, no one was in either office. I heard voices in the back so just walked through one of the offices and immediately found myself in a warehouse full of wrapping paper. 4. Currently, the warehouse is completely disorganized due to COVID-related employee shortages. Don't let that deter you. I immediately found a few great rolls, and the more I looked, the more jumped out at me. 5. If you like polyethylene ribbon (that gorgeous, smooth ribbon that makes great pull bows), they sell rolls of 250 yards for $16. For context, Walmart sells rolls of 100 yards at the same price. So, buying it here is 2.5x cheaper than Walmart. You do have to special-order the polyethylene ribbons here, but he said they're typically ready for pick-up in about a week, and you can select from a huge number of colors. 6. Some of the items (e.g., ribbons) have prices labeled, but that's not necessarily what you'll pay. When in doubt, ask! The guy running the place was so very kind. He hunted down various things for me on request. He also pointed out a flaw in one of the rolls I had picked. He said he'd give me a substantial discount for it -- which was so kind especially since I might not have even noticed. I found a remnant of one roll in a print I liked, and since they didn't have a full roll available, he gave me the remnant for free. He also packed everything very nicely in a box for me and helped me carry it out to the car. (Yes, I'm stocked for life.) DEFINITELY check this place out -- you'll find all sorts of wrapping paper and ribbons here at amazing prices.

Overall, the art was fun, but the service was disappointing and communication is severely lacking…read more It felt like we were a nuisance in being there. We had an appointment last weekend for four of us. When we arrived, we had an extra child and were told that we would be required to pay a 12% gratuity because of the size of our party. I'm unsure what the gratuity would be for. We were shown the policy - it said for parties of 6 and up - which we clarified and she said she miscounted. There was no service offered other than a brief training on how to do the craft. We were not allowed to choose our own colors but were encouraged to pick from the ones that were pre-opened to not be wasteful. When we picked our pieces, we were warned many times that we would be charged if we were wasteful in our usage of the clay - and clearly that is a subjective decision. When asked at the end any advice on getting the clay out of clothing, she said "it doesn't" - which would have been helpful to know at the beginning when you have 3 kids under 10. I asked if they had aprons - and mentioned that it would have been helpful if this doesn't come out of clothes - and she said they do, but it's only available for parties and for an extra fee. Again - communication would have been incredibly helpful up front. At the end, we were cleaning up our station and the employee asked us to put away the four remaining beads that were left on the table. It seemed like an easy way for her to help us get out the door more quickly when she had nothing else to do but sit on her phone. At the end she wrote down the dry times for our pieces - 5 days - which again - would have been helpful to know at the beginning. Lastly - they sold some glass cups that our daughters wanted. One was marked $13, one $15 for the same cup. When we asked - she said they were $15, but there is a deal at 2 for $30. Not sure where the deal is in that - and when we made that comment - she shrugged -clearly annoyed. For a unique art place such as this, where creativity and art should be encouraged - there was a very big missed opportunity in making this a special place - I won't be back.

When they finally texted me back they were clueless and rude. When I went to pick up the art after the party they had all our stuff labeled with random dates (other than the date of the event?) and asked me to see a picture to help them find our pieces. Seems like the staff does not want to be there, which isn't great for hosting a fun event with kids. Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.

We arrived just a few minutes late because one of her students had fallen in the front yard and we stopped to help. When we got inside, Amy seemed upset and we didn't receive any kind of welcome. Instead, we were told loudly to "come sit, they're all waiting." The instructions felt rushed, and as a first-timer I really needed more detailed, step-by-step guidance. For example, I ended up choosing very small broken mosaic pieces without realizing they're harder to work with. It would have helped if beginners were guided toward easier options. We also weren't given any patterns or examples unless we specifically asked. I think the workshop works better for people who already have experience. For beginners, it felt a bit stressful--especially since the environment seemed more focused on socializing and chatting rather than teaching. She did give us a free necklace from a previous event, which was a nice gesture. My final tray didn't turn out bad, but it wasn't great either, it has an uneven surface, maybe resin on the top would help but that had extra charge. Overall, it was a good experience to try once, but it could be much more beginner-friendly.

Amy, the owner and instructor, is clearly passionate about her craft and has created a welcoming environment for people to explore their artistic side. The studio itself is charming, and it was inspiring to see the beautiful projects being created throughout the class. We appreciated having the opportunity to work on our own unique pieces and learn a new skill. As first-time students, however, we would have appreciated a bit more guidance and step-by-step instruction, especially at the beginning of the class. To be fair, our group chose designs that were more complex than many of the other projects in the room, which likely added to the challenge. Still, there were moments when we felt unsure about what the next steps should be and could have benefited from more clarification and direction. One of my friends became so overwhelmed and frustrated by the process that she ended up leaving the class early. I believe a little more hands-on support for beginners could make a big difference in helping new students feel confident and successful. That said, Amy was kind, and it's clear that she cares about her business and her students. With a bit more structured guidance for first-time attendees, I think this experience could be even better. Overall, it was a creative and enjoyable outing, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to try something different and artistic.

I just completed my first-ever drawing classes with artist and art educator, Tina Cauller. One word: phenomenal. It is hard to find beginning drawing classes for adults in the Dallas area, and I couldn't find many reviews of Tina's classes before joining. Now, having completed the course, I wonder if the few prior reviewers had even turned up to class?! I loved her traditional teaching format, which incrementally built lessons on subjects that drawing students have studied for centuries. The excellent and thorough technical instruction, along with a relaxed and supportive art practice environment, gave me time for trial and error. The amount of growth in every student in the class from first to final class was outstanding. Tina has extensive experience and translates it into interesting, engaging, and supportive learning-to-draw lessons, making me believe I can draw anything I set out to. So satisfying and highly recommended. If you have been looking for a beginning drawing class, treat yourself, and don't wait!
