I've shopped here for over the last eight years and it is declining in customer service and they have the self check out, but it's always nice to be rung out by a human being. However, today, I thought it would be nice because this young lady offered to ring us out, but she was eating a cookie at the same time as ringing us out. Holding the cookie and ringing us out with the same hand. Biting it, chewing it and ringing us out!!! Who does that? Gross and unprofessional. Who trains these young people??? read more

Staff are friendly and do their best to be helpful. Lots of paints, glue, and similar supplies, although they could use a bit more selection for supplies for painting and crafting miniatures. Have had a few troubles with the checkout registers (e.g. PIN pads not working). read more

Customer service is questionable. After placing an online order, when I received an email that it was ready for pick up, there were items missing. I picked up the order and was only credited $.50 for the items that were missing that I paid for. Today I called the store and after repeating myself a second time, I was told that the person who answered would forward the call to their manager. After 8.5 minutes, I hung up. This is the second time that this has happened with this particular Michael's. It happened previously on October 24 when I bought two items and one of the ones that they gave me was broken. When I returned it even though I paid $30 for it they gave me $9, because it was on sale. read more

This Michaels is nicely set up. Everything is organized and easy to find. I loved how they made it obvious exactly which items were on sale. There were large signs with wording specifying which items were included. I came in looking for burlap ribbon. They have a huge selection of ribbon but a small one of burlap pieces. I found a burlap and lace piece that was fitting. The only problem is I needed 4 rolls and they only had 1. Im guessing this is a popular style or they just dont keep a lot in stock. My only complaint would be lack or help. While I was wandering around trying to find a few items I was looking for someone to ask. I couldnt find anyone working the floor. I had to go to the checkout counter to ask someone for help and she had to point me in the direction. read more

Yesterday a few of my friends and I came in to look for some supplies, and this gentleman was being completely rude to the worker, I have a loud mouth so I asked him why he felt the need to be so rude to this employee, he was trying to come in without a mask, he tried to sneak in when clearly there was a line waiting to get in, the employee was so professional she was an older lady, I think her name was Jennifer I'm not sure though, but even after he was a complete a-hole to her and called me every name under the sun, she kept her cool and proceeded to tell him that kind of behavior is not tolerated, she was such a sweetheart to us afterwards, and the man basically said to all of us to F off and stormed off! God bless her, and I don't live in the area but I'd definitely recommend that store to people who do live there read more

Recently I ran across an embroidery piece I had created years ago so I decided to take it to be stretched & framed. I went to Michaels and they quoted me a price to do the job. They did not have a frame that fit it so I provided my own. Upon arrival to pick it up I was absolutely appalled at the job they did. First of all the piece was not stretched whatsoever. It is wavy and uneven as you can clearly see in my attached pictures. 2ndly the finished product has a visible gap all the way around the inside of the frame. After taking the entire thing apart I finally determined the gap was due to the technician not snapping off removable plastic placeholders that allow the frame to be used as a shadow box if needed. Seriously? Are these people even trained on how to do this? There is SOME skill involved. Frankly I'm amazed they allowed it to go out the door this way. As a customer I am insulted that they thought it was presentable enough to sell. They offered to refund my $$ or fix the problem(s) but ONLY if I paid additional $$ to what I already paid. Since they did such a horrible job the first time why on earth should I trust them again and spend even more money? So now I'm back to square one but lesson learned. I was not impressed and I will not be back. I seriously doubt I will ever set foot in Michaels again. read more

I love this place for school project supplies because they usually have everything I need. One issue is price and the second is staff. The prices are on the higher side but if you're looking for quality, it makes sense. Second, there are always staff walking around or approaching me if I need assistance m, which is great, but there is usually one or two cashiers at the registers. Generally speaking , Michaels isn't normally crowded but with two cashiers every time I visit, the lines tend to build up and it's irritating. read more

I love to craft and create different diy projects so Michaels is right up my alley. This Michaels has a really good layout, and I am always able to find what I need fairly easily. I also almost always get greeted and asked if I need help finding something. A couple of things I recommend buying here instead of Hobby Lobby, because they have a better selection and/or lower prices: acrylic craft paints, unpainted wooden craft items (e.g. unfinished wooden letters, boxes, picture frames, etc.), and canvases (if you are just doing basic diy craft projects and are not an artist concerned about canvas quality and type). read more

Customer service here is amazing. Dominic, I believe the store manager, managed to turn what could have been an embarrassing situation into an opportunity to show kindness and great customer service. I've dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts, from ceramics, to jewelry making to knitting. Michaels will usually keep you covered, but they are kinda pricey. Like all their locations this one seems cramped in places. Their framing is insanely expensive, I have an artist friend who gave me quite a few small drawings. I came in to get a price quote and just about fell over. I've also noticed that their stores always smell weird, like an old ladies house. Seriously every Michaels ever smells the same, even back when the were MJ Designs, and the stores out of state. read more

Being an arts and crafts dabbler (I like to try everything), I like to have plenty of options at a craft store. Michael's always has a ton of stuff in stock, but the only problem with that is that sometimes it gets kind of crowded and cramped. The workers in this michaels never seem to be that happy, and helpful. They don't ever smile making me just want to leave the store. I work at another location so i know the rules required of us. Half the rules we are required these workers don't do. Like asking for e-mails. I have not been asked by these workers at all. However, it is pretty neat in there. I wish it wouldn't be all dull in this store. They need so color not just the boring walls they have. It is laid out pretty nicely and kept organized. read more
