And so it did, damaging the molar in front of it to the point it needed work too. I had two oral surgeons state that the only way forward was to remove both teeth, let things heal for six weeks, then return for an implant to replace the molar. A big deal, and expen$$ive. Then I met Dr. Mancuso. He's ex-Navy, always a good sign in a practitioner. And sure enough, the reviewed the situation and said, "I think we can save that molar." And he did! Out came the wisdom tooth (amazingly fast work by the way) and the molar got a crown. It has served me well. Dr. Macuso is a keeper!

There were a couple bumps in the road with the billing and difficulty reaching the front desk in order to resolve the billing issue,, but otherwise my experience was good.

When I arrived for my appointment I confirmed the cost again with the front desk staff was $240. After the appointment I paid the $240 in full. This is a self pay session, so there should be no additional fees for a simple dermatology appointment. Now I am receiving bills for $360. I called their number and was able to get the AI to connect me with a representative at a call center in India, and he said the cost of the appointment was $600. I think originally what may have happened is that I was quoted the cash rate and charged the cash rate, but now I'm being charged the insurance rate in error. The representative I spoke with at the call center in India said the clinic would call me back. I have requested a call back multiple times, but no one from the clinic has called back and I continue to receive bills. I have spent a lot of time on this already. I'm worried this will end up going to collections if it is not resolved. I live 40 minutes away from the clinic and I don't want to have to drive all the way there in order to address this issue with an actual person that works there. If someone from the clinic would call me back so we can handle this billing issue then I will remove this review right away.
