Fountain Valley is open til 8, which is super convenient for people who can't make it by 5. Since my husband was already pre-registered and he had checked in online, this location was a breeze. Only one lady was working, she was handling the check in desk and performing the X-rays, and she did an amazing job at dealing with it all. My husband was seen within 10 mins of being there, and once his X-rays were done, we received his disc to take to his ortho within about 5 minutes. I will say it was sort of confusing cause there is no sign on the building, or on the directory, but we figured out it is inside of the Urgent Care. They could do a better job with signage for sure. Overall though, no complaints about this location!

I sat and waited for approximately 5 minutes before I was called in for my exam. The ultrasound technician that performed my exam was Hannah. Hannah was so compassionate and kept me calm. She was thorough and quick! Before I knew it, my exam was finished. I can say that this location has been the best experience that I've had at any Wave Imaging location. I filled out the form several times (5 minutes each time) but after you answer all of their questions, and provide all of your information, they provide the list of imaging centers and they are ALL in LA... more than an hour away from Orange County, despite the fact that the card I was given had an Orange site and a Fountain Valley site. It would have been nice to know that up front. I then called the telephone number on the card that my orthopedic gave me. A guy in India answered the phone, and he did not speak much English. He kept me on the phone for 25 minutes as he manually filled out all of the information that I had already input into the system three times (it took me 5 minutes per time... it took him 25 minutes to do it once). He was nearly impossible to understand. After 40 minutes of attempting to schedule an appointment, the worker from India asked if my MRI had been approved by insurance. I said "not yet but it will be." He said, I can't schedule an appointment until it's approved. What?????? I'm getting the MRI whether or not it's approved, Nope, he cannot schedule my appointment until it's approved. By the way, one of the first questions they ask online AND on the phone is "Has the MRI been approved by your insurance?" I answered "not yet"... and then he continued on for 25 minutes... Why on earth don't they stop you there? This process is one of the biggest wastes of time I have experienced in a very long time... nearly an hour of my life that I will never get back... and I still have no appointment. I'll follow up on my experience later, if I ever get one, but this experience was just too fascinating not to post.

Even after I offered to wait, I was told the only time available was 8:30 and that they had no slot for me, essentially giving me a flat rejection with zero regard for the 40-minute drive I just made. The person handling this should be fired. Instead of any accountability, empathy, or effort to accommodate a patient they severely inconvenienced, I received complete indifference. I went in to get an X-ray and the technician was friendly, helpful, and a Veteran. The quality of care seemed good and he was very empathetic to the pain I was experiencing. When the X-ray results were sent to my doctor's office the results were ready to understand. Being an informed patient I wanted a copy of the images so my doctor told me to contact Medizen to obtain them directly. I called and that's where the lack of service began. It took over 4 minutes to answer my call and I was told to come in, show my ID and they'd burn a CD for me. Instead of possibly obtaining my information first to begin the process they just brushed me off. I went in to get the CD ordered and instead of allowing me to explain why I was there, I was told to sign in. I offered that I wasn't there for imagine, but for records pull and was brushed off again and told to sign in by the heavy set Hispanic front desk assistant. The second lady that helped me was kind and efficient, but hung into my Driver's License after verifying my ID. I didn't get it back until my CD of images was ready. Overall, this could have been a 4 or 5 start experience had the first lady attended to me properly instead of brushing me off. A simple show of appreciation would have avoided this negative review. It isn't about having to sign it, it is about providing good customer service from start to finish. I get that you want to track your service count, but finish we're people too and not just a number.

The front office staff was busy handling incoming patients reporting in, answering phones, and computer work. They were very nice and professional when I reported in. My ultrasound technician was Kelly and she is *MARVELLOUS*! Kelly was very professional and so very kind. She explained what she was doing which helped me to relax as I was nervous. The room was nice, quiet, and dark that I nearly fell asleep lol. The procedure was done quickly and the next thing I know I'm in the main building lobby filling in a yelp review for them. I'm very satisfied with my visit and I do recommend Newport Imaging (for ultrasounds) Hopefully Kelly will be working the day you need to go in.

I had to go here recently for a relative who was admitted here unexpectedly…read more Fortunately, the staff provided excellent care and my relative was released within a matter of days. The staff checked in on my relative regularly and expressed care. I also got to check out their GIFT SHOP on site which was pretty cool and very reasonably priced. They have a lot of nice things in there. They sell kimonos, cute mint and pill boxes, hand towels with cute designs, glass and plastic hummingbird decorations, and much more.
