I see alot of awards in the front office, but I have to say that I am disappointed for 2 reasons. I came in for a cleaning, and I left the cleaning session disappointed because the service was rushed and my teeth still had plaque that was not cleaned. I went to a new dentist and I was able to see the difference in cleanliness and service. Secondly, I was recommended to do a dental procedure that would have costed about 5k dollars and I was told I had problems with my teeth, that I actually didn't. The new dentist I went to took X-rays and told me my teeth were fine and there was no problems, and no reason to do any procedures. Just a warning that this dental office may recommend unnecesary procedures that you don't need, and you should get a 2nd opinion somewhere else before you get a procedure/operation done here. read more

So much good hype about this dentist but only IF one can wait many months or a year for a future scheduled appointment, meaning u don't really need a dentist for a long time. His Dad retired in early 2024. Brandon's hygienists are booked 8 months to 1 year minimum in advance, but you must 1st be seen by him for "initial consult, eval, & X-rays; NO treatment bc that's another future appt." Small house /office next to freeway. I didn't see many or any cars parked whenever I drove by his house/office parking lot during office hrs in past 4 months. Despite many "high praises," if one cannot be seen by dentist, all accolades are pointless. Yet his practice oddly states he's accepting new patients. Shame. read more

How have I not written a Yelp review for Doctors Brandon and Kenneth Ho yet? They have been my dentists for the past 14 years and I feel extremely grateful to be in their care. Talk about amazing expertise and precision both of them perform with every checkup and procedure. Most people probably don't gush about their dentists so here is the exception! They are positive, friendly, extremely knowledgable and treat you like a millionaire when you are in their care. They go to great lengths to explain everything to you about what they are doing which really passes the time when I've had to have a crowns done. If that's not enough, they've won tons of awards! Their office is located in La Canada which the only downside is the small parking lot, but generally street parking can be found in the residential area. Their office is kept very home-like with a coffee table full of magazines to browse in the waiting room and each of their dental bays overlook the garden as you listen to relaxing classical music. Hygenists have been hit or miss over the years - though more hit than miss, but even the ones I haven't been a huge fan of did do their work properly and prepped me well for the Hos to work their magic. I totally recommend the Hos if new to the area and looking for top notch dentistry. read more

There's no other place I'd rather go for my smile. Dr. Brandon took a picture to show me the cavity and then even showed me what it looked like after the filling. Both Dr. Ho and his son Brandon are the best dentists I have ever had work on my teeth. Their chair side manner is unparalleled. As a patient, it is obvious that they care about me. My daughter, who has always been terrified of dentists doesn't mind going there at all. Unfortunately they are more expensive than any other dentists I have been to as well. My dental insurance (I always choose the most expensive option) reaches its max within a few treatments here, so I have to choose what to do and what can wait. I know you "get what you pay for" but since my dental insurance pays a maximum of 1500 a year (and this includes treatments for my daughter and I both) the bottom line is that I don't get much. I finally decided to go to another dentist for my own care. My teeth just need too much done, and the money stretches further elsewhere. However, the other dentist has 2-3 hour waits in their office, but I can deal with the inconvenience. My daughter has gone to the other dentist, but she refuses to go there again- (after a 90 minute wait, they gave her the numbing medication- but took so long for the dentist to get to her afterward it had worn off already... and she had to reschedule). So now, I am going to let her go back to Dr. Ho, and I will continue to go to the cheaper one. It's not ideal, and I wish we could both go to Dr. Ho, but I can deal with the other office, and she just can't. If you can afford Dr. Ho, and most folks in La Canada can, by all means go to this Dentist. He is honestly the best in the area. read more

Dr. Ho and his staff are extremely professional, kind and caring. I've had many bad experiences with so many other dentists but thank God I was able to find Dr. Ho. He's not the type to do extra work unlike other dentists and he tries the most conservative methods to not damage your teeth. His dental hygienist, Stacy, is also the greatest. I hadn't been to a dentist in over 4 years due to a terrible past experience. My husband has been going to Dr. Ho's office his entire life and spoke very highly of it, so I decided to give it a try... On my first visit, they offered me a pillow and a blanket- definitely helped with my nerves! They found 2 cavities and when Brandon worked on my teeth, I didn't feel a thing. He is very gentle and explains each step that he's doing which is very helpful. I then had my teeth cleaned which was again painless and his staff was wonderful! Brandon fit me in his schedule immediately when I had an old filling from anther dentist that came loose. He carefully removed only the part of the tooth necessary to ensure that a cap could be installed and the tooth would not need to be extracted. He took the time to explain each step of the process and answer my questions. His work was excellent and my tooth is fully repaired with no pain or sensitivity to temperatures. This place rocks! The place is very clean and well kept. The staff is courteous and everybody carries a positive attitude. So far, I've been coming here for a little over 1 year (3 teeth cleans bc I'm obsessed and my very 1st crown). They have their own hygienists performing teeth cleans. This review is for Dr. Brandon Ho. Dr. Kenneth Ho also works at the office and is always very professional saying hi! I have had great experiences so far at Dr. Ho's. The first time I came, I was able to get an appointment on short notice and the staff were really nice about helping me out; they were patient and friendly from the time I called to when I was in the office. Everything in the office was/is clean and well organized. He was able to diagnose my tooth pain quickly and treated me immediately. Dr. Ho is always very engaging and has really gained my trust. His suggestions for my dental work always felt like they were centered on the goals I had and my needs. I now have an implant after a previously failed root canal (from a different dentist), and will be going to see Dr. Ho for the crown. My visits have always been on time and prompt. Everything just feels organized and efficient there! Very private and Dr. Ho always makes sure I'm comfortable and seems to understand how awkward it is having work done in the mouth. Let me start off by saying that I may be slightly biased in writing this review, considering that 3 generations of my family have and continue to see both Dr.'s Kenneth and Brandon Ho. Great experience with the office. Entire process from front office to back was amazing. Dr Brandon Ho is cutting edge meticulous and detail oriented. I simply want to recognize their quality of care and I happily refer patients to their office. I know their work can be trusted. I am a dentist myself and Drs. Kenneth Ho and Brandon Ho serve as my personal dentists. All things considered (office staff, professionalism, cleanliness, organization, ease of delivery anesthesia/confort, office environment, etc), think about what another dentist would look for when they need work themselves - what ultimately boils down as the most important factors? Clinical skills and quality of work. Imagine dentistry as sculptural art, and dentists as the artists. Like artists, some people are simply gifted with a natural talent to visualize and produce masterpieces without much effort. Similarly, Drs. Kenneth Ho and Brandon Ho both possess a natural talent of visualization and hand-eye coordination that automatically puts them at a higher level of skill than many others who need to build it up after years of practice. I have personally worked with both Drs. Kenneth Ho and Brandon Ho on humanitarian outreach programs to Guatemala and El Salvador and have seen their work firsthand. As far as going to see your dentist goes, I don't think it gets much better than this. I have since moved away and have come back to California once or twice a year and each time I go see Dr. Brandon Ho. It is comparable to going to visit a family friend. If I wanted to, I could find a dentist in Maine, where I now live but choose to keep coming home, on vacation, and scheduling a visit with Dr. Ho. I feel truly lucky and blessed to have Dr. Brandon and his dad, Dr. Ho as my dentist. I have been seeing them for over 15 years and they are exceptional doctors. I have never experienced any other doctors going above and beyond for their patients. Even when I have chipped my tooth on a Friday night before a vacation, Dr. Ho was willing to meet with me early on a Saturday morning (this has happened more than once BTW). I have lived all over the country and I still will only see them, even if it means having to fly back to LCF for an appointment. Both dentists are very well qualified, professional and friendly. However, the front desk and business is lacking. For example, I made an appointment for a date confirmed by both parties. I received a phone reminder that if I did not get back to them to confirm attendance then I would be charged for missing the appointment, which happened. The missed appointment was abut $150. It doesn't make sense. We had an agreement for a date, period. It should be that easy. Neither party changed the appointment, but the late fee came into the equation. I felt that was a bad business practice. Nice people, but watch out for the fees, phone messages etc. that are in place to generate more revenue for the practice. Needless to say I located another dentist very close by to meet my needs. I wish the Ho practice the very best and hope they improve their business model. After all, the Dr's are truly amazing. read more

He has showed me where subpar work was done by a prior dentist, yet he has also been conservative in waiting to change it so long as it if he felt it was still doing an adequate job. Dr. Brandon Ho is the very best dentist I have ever visited and I have been going to dentists for over 50 years. I went to him because he bonded my daughter's front teeth beautifully. She broke her front tooth when she was a teenager and has never been happy with any dentist's work. Dr. Brandon fixed them so perfectly, I went to him for veneers. He is so gentle, I actually dozed off while he was working on preparing my teeth for the veneers. He explains everything thoroughly as he does the procedure and takes the time to do it correctly. He is a perfectionist and when it comes to my appearance, I appreciate the attention to every detail. As important, the hygienist who assists Dr. Ho and the one who cleaned my teeth, were both professional, friendly, and attentive. The office staff is very helpful in booking appointments around crazy schedules and will call with cancellations to get you into the dentist if you are anxious like me to get the work done.
