I first came across their office for an emergency sensitivity treatment and stayed for the cleaning. My dental hygienist is the first in my three decades of life to influence (aka pressure) me to floss daily. I drive 30 mins to the office with a smile on my face and gladly brave the real housewives of La Canada (and their erratic Tesla driving). Bonus points for Dr. Brandon's taste in restaurants! Literally changed insurance and still plan on paying out of pocket. When you know, you know!

I went to a new dentist and I was able to see the difference in cleanliness and service. Secondly, I was recommended to do a dental procedure that would have costed about 5k dollars and I was told I had problems with my teeth, that I actually didn't. The new dentist I went to took X-rays and told me my teeth were fine and there was no problems, and no reason to do any procedures. Just a warning that this dental office may recommend unnecesary procedures that you don't need, and you should get a 2nd opinion somewhere else before you get a procedure/operation done here.

Recently, my son chipped his front tooth in a skateboarding accident and was so embarrassed. Dr. Romero came to the rescue and made his tooth look as good as new! My son felt completely comfortable and wasn't scared at all. The staff is always friendly, organized, and great about sending appointment reminders, which I really appreciate! We found Dr. Romero through a former coworker, and I'm so glad we did. If you're looking for a wonderful children's dentist, I highly recommend him and his team. We're lucky to have dentists like him who truly care about their patients!

From the moment we walked in, the office was incredibly clean and very kid-friendly. They even have video games in the waiting room, which immediately made my son feel more comfortable. The front desk staff was so helpful and kind, assisting me with my insurance and making everything easy and stress-free. Dr. Romero had to remove one of my son's molars, and he was very nervous. But Dr. Romero and his team were incredibly patient and reassuring -- they talked to him calmly and even put on a movie to help him relax. The procedure went so smoothly that my son didn't feel a thing! At the end, he even gave Dr. Romero a fist bump This was truly the best experience we've had. We will definitely be coming back to Dr. Romero. Highly recommend!

Today I just left their office after coming in on a day that they are normally closed. I was having an issue with a temporary getting ready for a crown and when I called instead of them saying sorry we're closed today, come in tomorrow, the lovely receptionist simply said I will contact the doctor and I will get back to you. Within 10 minutes I received a text msg. for me to come in today at 1:30. The issue is resolved and the discomfort is gone. The caring attitude is displayed by all staff from the moment you walk in till the time you bid a fond farewell. Ted (Vietnam Veteran)

I don't doubt her abilities, but the style was off-putting for me. I realize that every person, culture has it's style, but this one didn't suit me. The ugly: On my last visit, I was overcharged for service that they should have rightly charged my dental insurance for. I made a claim with my dental insurer and they ruled in my favor and reimbursed me. I understand that a medical provider is entitled to make a living, but not at the expense of a patient's trust.

I also give the office staff (Edith, Maria, and Ruth) high scores for not having any delays in service, being so nice, and also taking the time to bill the 2 insurances I have (not every office will do this). I've seen many dentists, many of them good and unfortunately a few bad ones too. Once you find a…read moregreat dentist though, you hang onto them. I've been with my dentist for 17 years, 10+ of those years moved up to the Bay Area and making the 5-6hr commute back and forth. Well, life happens and during my last check with Most Awesome General Dentist; turns out I need a root canal and was recommended to Dr. John Pratte as a "Diplomate" dentist. What is that? I asked a robot and this is what I learned: Achieving diplomate status in dentistry, particularly for specialties like endodontics, is a prestigious accomplishment that represents the highest level of expertise in the field. Here's what it generally involves: 1. Advanced Education and Specialty Training: After earning a dental degree (e.g., DDS or DMD), a dentist must complete additional years of postgraduate training in their specialty, such as endodontics, periodontics, or orthodontics. This involves clinical, hands-on training and deep study of the specialty. 2. Board Certification: To become a diplomate, a dentist must pass rigorous board certification exams specific to their specialty. This typically includes: Written Exam: Testing the candidate's knowledge of all facets of their specialty. Clinical Exam or Case Presentations: Submitting complex case studies or undergoing a practical exam to demonstrate hands-on expertise and problem-solving abilities in their specialty. Oral Exam: Being questioned by a board of experts on clinical cases, treatment planning, and specialized knowledge to assess clinical judgment and expertise. 3. Experience and Case Portfolio: Many boards require candidates to complete and submit a portfolio of complex cases they've treated successfully, showcasing their proficiency and commitment to high standards of care. 4. Continuing Education and Recertification: Once they achieve diplomate status, many boards require ongoing continuing education and periodic recertification to ensure they remain up-to-date with advancements in their field. 5. Commitment to Excellence: Diplomates are often required to uphold strict ethical standards and demonstrate a commitment to advancing their specialty through research, teaching, or service within the professional community. In short, becoming a diplomate is a mark of dedication, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care in their specialty. It signifies that the practitioner has gone well beyond the basic requirements of dental practice. _______________________ So I just want to say that I highly appreciate the expertly skilled precision of Dr. Pratte's deft and nimble hands. He has a very professional demeanor while also being quite warm and personable. (And those diplomate credentials tell you that you're getting the very best of the very best!!!)

Dr. Harmik is also very good at reading the room and adjusting his bedside manner accordingly. If you need someone to soften the edges a little, he can do that. If he knows you're a big boy and can handle it, he'll give it to you straight and get right to business. If you're more conversational, he's happy to talk things through and share personal experiences as well. I really appreciate that because it never feels scripted. Regina is also the best hygienist I've had. She's gentle but firm with her cleanings, and you actually leave feeling like your teeth were cleaned. She's extremely observant too. She'll notice something as small as the roof of your mouth being irritated because you drank coffee that was too hot. She gives advice and suggestions without ever being pushy or judgmental, and she's genuinely friendly and kind. The office itself is also very up to date. Their systems are digitized, scheduling is easy, appointments can be added to your calendar from a text, and they're very good about sending reminders ahead of time. After more than a decade here, I've never really had a reason to look elsewhere. Definitely recommend them.
