The stationery is all good quality, with plenty of plain notepads, ringbinders and pens to satisfy those basic needs, but also lots of funky collections of things for your inner (or real) school child. I like the pencil cases - furry animals or shiny tins - and the ring binders with stripes or cartoon animals on. Yes, it's childish, but if you're going to do boring things involving filing, you might as well bring a bit of colour into it. They so everything from printer paper to ink cartridges, calligraphy sets to sketching pencils, diaries and calendars, post-its and hole punches. Your desktop will never have been so jazzed up. The other half of the shop has a great range of magazines. It's one of the only places in Oxford where you can get quite obscure magazines and is well worth checking out. The staff are friendly and there are some good deals on chocolates as you whizz your way through the queue.

They looked and sounded fantastic in our venue and had the ability to read the room perfectly, which helped create an amazing atmosphere. Ceri and I wanted a lively, interactive ceilidh band that was guaranteed to get the uncles up dancing. By sunset, all our family and friends were doing a jig. Ceri and I love live music, it was therefore only natural that we wanted to incorporate as much as possible on our wedding day. After weeks of searching we were struggling to find a good band that we could afford. By chance we stumbled upon the Morrigan Dagda Ceilidh Band website and loved their music. After confirming their availability the band quoted a fair price and could provide everything we required and some more. Sam even agreed to set up the PA and microphone in advance for our speeches. This saved us a lot hassle and only cost a little extra. We could also plug our laptop into their PA so we could play music from iTunes during the wedding breakfast and interval. From the moment we booked the Morrigan Dagda Ceilidh Band we had regular correspondence over the phone and via email. Their 'nothing is too much trouble' approach was spot on. Our main contact was Sam, he was very friendly and approachable throughout the planning and made it easy for us to make requests. We asked the band if they could perform some chilled out folk music, a ceildh, the odd recognisable song (with vocals), some of our favourites with a folk twist and our first dance with lyrics re-written by ourselves. We never imagined that they would be able to fulfil all our requests but they did, add to that their own repertoire and ideas and we had a ceilidh band that was perfect for our day. It also seems to have some delay in receiving certain magazines (Private Eye, for instance, is always a day late) but it still has a reasonable stock for the size of the shop. It is usually mostly tidy, although the dvd/cd section at the back can be quite messy at times. Staff are always friendly and have a good rapport with regular customers. The store has a good range of toys and games, and a fairly large selection of books, making it the best place to buy books for some distance.
