This store is smaller than the city centre branch, and suffers from not having a lift to the upstairs (books/sometimes toys) section - staff will occasionally help with pushchairs but there's not much option for wheelchairs. It also seems to have some delay in receiving certain magazines (Private Eye, for instance, is always a day late) but it still has a reasonable stock for the size of the shop.
It is usually mostly tidy, although the dvd/cd section at the back can be quite messy at times. Staff are always friendly and have a good rapport with regular customers.
The store has a good range of toys and games, and a fairly large selection of books, making it the best place to buy books for some distance. read more
