Glenn and Sandra have been my Personal Insurance go to and for my clients for 10 years. There are always there, responsive, and have my back!! Since they are a broker they can search different options. Totally recommend them . Thank you read more

I was recommended to Glenn Agoncillo right after I bought my home, and with all the drama of purchasing a home and going through escrow, he made the insurance buying process smooth and easy. I always know that Glenn will answer my calls and questions, and do his very best to try to keep me well covered AND save me money in the process--which he has just done with my auto insurance! Highly recommend that HMDB and Glenn is where you go for your insurance needs. You will be well taken care of. read more

I've been working with Roger Osegueda for a long time (note, I was numero uno in reviewing HMBD!). I've since moved away from the LBC, but still lean on him for all my insurance needs. He's always helpful, very responsive and helps me think through the utility of my policies holistically. Insurance, like going to the dentist, isn't anything fun. But it's a life imperative, and you need someone who you can trust and work with you for years to come. Thanks dear Roger for making sure I'm well (and not overly) insured. read more

I found a better rate so I canceled my policy but six days prior I had paid my $316 premium. These unscrupulous bunch of thieves gave me a $61.00 refund and when I called to find out if there was a mistake I was rudely informed that there is a penalty for canceling a policy. so I'm out over $200? This should be a crime -very bad dipped in wrong sauce. Don't do business with these self serving criminals. There are much better companies and you won't get penalized to cancel a policy if you find a better rate. The core value of any business is integrity you will not find that here. read more

HMBD Insurance has been handling my home and auto insurance since 2006. I first came across Glenn's ad in the Long Beach Local News Paper when I first moved to LB. I am SOOOOO glad that I responded to the ad. My experience has been nothing but great. Glenn's team has always been friendly, quick to respond and knowledgable. They have always had my best interest in mind. HMBD has helped me with some insurance challenges without going through all the 1-800 messes. They are a big time broker, with a small time personal feel. They don't charge broker fees, or new policy fees etc. etc, like many companies do today. I am alway shock when I hear of such fees. In my experience they avoid such silliness, but at the same time managing to handle all my situation in a sufficient and timely manner. Thank you HMBD insurance. Keep up the awesome work. Cheers Curtis read more

Glenn Agoncillo and Edith Muniz-Ruiz have completely changed my view of the insurance industry. I explained what we wanted and Glen came back with a plan for our home and auto that was superior to what we asked for yet below what we were paying in the past. I did not tell him what are old rates were. He found the best coverage at the best price. Things were a little tricky in switching over our insurance because we have an impound account. Edith resolved all the issues for us. Our old agent would have left everything up us to fix. I now feel confident that should we ever have to file a claim, HMBD will have our best interest at heart. That means everything to us! If you want personal attention, great coverage and great prices call HMBD today! read more

On December 22nd, I realize our auto insurance has expired. Immediately I reach out to my broker for years. He gives me a couple of quotes that are outrageous, super high cost at only liability coverage! He tells me no one offers higher coverage. Seriously?!? I wasn't content so I called a couple other agency's whom basically offered the same. Absolutely not in my best interest as I'm looking to cover my company vehicles & two other personal cars. I came across HMBD, whom sounded pretty busy when I called in but understandable since it was 2 days before Christmas. I left a voice mail letting them know my interest. Shortly after, I received a call from Sandra Cortez the personal lines account manager. She broke it down to 3 diff quotes with great coverage! I signed on two policies, a commercial & personal with the total premium I was previously paying at liability cost. SHOCKING!! I wanted it cheaper with less coverage but she explained the risks to me and scared the cheap out of me. Not only did she make the search so easy but she had my policies in full effect with insurance cards and all by 4pm!! Highly recommend HMBD and of course Sandra Cortez as she has proven to go above and beyond the call of duty at work!! So glad I'm part of the HMBD family now! read more

HMBD has helped in so many ways and Glenn Agoncillo is and always been extremely helpful. Both of our cars are insured and will look forward to HMBD insuring my house. I'd recommend HMBD to anyone who is tired of getting the "runaround" from agents that overcharge, under insure and collect high premiums. read more

Glenn came to our house with a briefcase and unveiled many insurance options from competing underwriters, from low to high and discussed our family's insurance needs which included four vehicles and a home. We felt that Glenn was honest and forthright in his assessment and recommendations to us. He took a very personal approach to our situation. And, he saved us money and increased our coverage. Glenn keeps us updated with new insurance programs and rates and I always feel like he's on our side and not on the side of the insurance company. On top of that, Glenn is the nicest guy you will ever meet. I've recommended Glenn to several friends and coworkers. Give him a try, I trust him to be honest with you. read more

Sandra Cortez was my agent. I changed my policy to another company because Sandra could not cancel a policy that I emailed and called in. She tried to double my premium because I had another driver in the house who has another vehicle with another policy. I told her not to include him on my vehicle in which she waited several days to send me a form to sign to exclude that driver. It's been almost a month, a few days of a month and she still couldn't fix my policy and tell me my refund. I feel like she is banking on her commission so I don't get a refund. So today I sign up with a new company and cancel my policy through her and she tells me it will cancel on a future date. Excuse me I do not need two policies nor will I pay for both. And btw I don't want to do business with you any longer because you can't even do the simplest task and I've given you a month to get this done and you have done nothing. Glad that I changed to a new company and I am getting a tremendous deal. Saving me over $300/month. I should've left your company a long time ago. read more

I've worked with Jay Semaan and his staff at HMBD for over 7 years for all my insurance needs. From personal to my multiple business accounts. They are a very professional boutique style agency and pride themselves on customer service. I Highly recommend them. read more

These guys are great. Cool down to earth people I've had the pleasure of dealing with for years now. I was an insurance agent and underwriter for years so I can appreciate the sh*t these guys have to deal with. Edith is my girl, she's taken care of me for a few years now. And even though I don't have a lot of business with her she's always quick to work with me and be flexible. Thank you Edith & HMDB. read more

Love these guys, they're the best I found when shopping for my auto insurance policy. I got the best rate for my tainted driving record and new car. I'm extremely happy and satisfied with the ease of their service when I need anything or have another coverage question. Edith is really fast and prompt, I appreciate that so much about her. Renewing was a breeze, even when I had rate change questions. This is one of my least favorite bills but communicating with their office is always stress free and pleasant. I hope that never changes about you guys, it makes you one of a kind. Thank you!! read more

My experience with HMBD insurance has been great! I got transferred to their center while I was shopping for car insurance. I was getting quotes from other companies so I dealt with a lot of different agents, but the one person who stood out to me was Jason Roddy. He was extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable and very considerate. Mind you this is my first time shopping for car insurance on my own after being on my dads policy for years! I obviously had a lot of questions and didn't know what to look for with auto insurance or what I do/ do not need. Jason dealt with MANY of my phone calls, even when he was out sick he emailed me after I had yet again called his office. The patience he had on explaining things me to and helping me pick out the best coverage was phenomenal. He helped me save so much money after my current insurance wanted to charge me a lot more for a small accident I had in the beginning of the year. Jason worked with me for days and we finally signed papers for my new insurance today. I am beyond thrilled on working with him. Not only is Jason great but his colleagues are as well. TRUST ME: I went to a lot of different companies and no one was as helpful and nice as the people working here! I am just mad at myself for not going with them before hand bc I dealt with so much BS with my other insurance and if I had a question they'd rudely answer it and I did not get that from Jason. I highly recommend going to Jason Roddy for any of your insurance needs. He will look out for you and that's the kind of agent you want to have! read more

Sandra Cortez was super responsive and made the insurance portion of the home buying experience simple and painless.

I needed business insurance and I don't have much experience with this sort of thing. Noele has been extremely helpful from start to finish. She answered all of our questions and is in our corner whenever we need. I HIGHLY recommend giving HMBD a call. Talk to Noele. read more

I'm writing my review on the Hartford Insurance Company AARP I think it sucks because you have to be a member to get the quote and I say that to get a free quote use their personal quote card and when I called up and said that I have to pay for the AARP membership before I get too close and I think it's not right read more

We've had several experiences with insurance but none of them have been as pleasant, worry-free and personable as we've had with Glenn and his team at HMBD Insurance. In addition to our automobiles and home, we also have a rental property. Glenn was able to get us the appropriate coverages at a reasonable rate with the carrier we wanted. He and his team are always willing and available to not just answer any questions but to answer them in an unbelievable quick turn around! I praise them for their stellar customer service! I want to also mention that HMBD cares about giving back to their Community. Their generosity and support of such important Causes, has been recognized and appreciated. THANK YOU HMBD for all that you do. read more

HMBD makes the whole insurance process hassle free which is quite a feat! I cannot say enough amazing things about the team at HMBD. Dealing with insurance has always been so frustrating and I never knew if I was getting a good deal. Working with HMBD, means that I don't have to worry about haggling or hassles, and I can trust the team to provide honest quotes and give excellent feedback. A huge thanks to Roger, Glenn and the staff at HMBD. You all rock. read more

I was referred to this brokerage firm while shopping for car insurance for myself and my brother. In the 6 months since I've worked with this company I can honestly say that I'm constantly amazed at the complete lack of tact or customer service the group I've been working with has employed to handle even the simplest of requests. Emails are very quick when you first are signing up but God help you after you become a customer. Worst experience of my life. I was referred to Scott Henderson who passed me off to Sandra Cortez and when I tried to escalate a complaint I had the honor of speaking to Roger Osegueda. They're great while you're shopping for insurance - sorta despite many phone and email conversations with Sandra she still wrote the policy wrong and had to later bump up coverage and rates - but once they have you they couldn't care less to keep you. If I had the ability to rate this company in the negatives I'd give it a -10. read more

Called them up for an insurance quote. Spoke with Jay Semaan. He and his staff were super helpful knowledgable and honest. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and we're looking out for my well being and made sure I had an understanding of what was being discussed unlike other companies I called. Highly recommend these guys! read more

I've been working with Jay Semaan and his team at HMBD for over six years now. Jay and his team are amazing. Not only are they responsive and resolve all insurance issues in a timely manner, but they have consistently found the lowest insurance rates for my business. As a result, I save thousands per year on health and business insurance. Needless to say, I highly recommend their services! read more

Our company worked with Jay Semaan and Karen Hoang for years. They have always made themselves readily available and have gone out of their way to help us with any issue that arose. More specifically, we had a nightmare case with billing after my second sons birth. It ended up lasting almost two years to resolve the issue. Throughout the entire process Karen Hoang made her self readily available and fought for us to get everything figured out. The amount of time Karen and I spent trying to get everything figured out was pain staking to say the least. But she was nothing but helpful throughout the entire process and I am almost certain our issue would not have been resolved without her help. In the end her efforts ended up saving my family a lot of money; that after almost two years I was growing resolved to the fact we would have to pay. I am extremely grateful for her "above and beyond" assistance in resolving this issue for us. In summation, if you would like a Insurance Agency that makes themselves readily available by phone or in person and will quickly address any issues that may arise for you. I highly recommend the team of Jay Semaan and Karen Hoang. Thank you for all of your help over the years HMBD. read more
