But they do have sales and sale prices are good. If you have shopper card, there are discounts. The vegetables looked fresh. I picked up what I needed. They had a great selection of funny greeting cards, I picked up a couple. I didn't get bread because I would have had to take out a loan. Check out is easy and clerks were friendly. Parking is tight as there are a bunch of stores in the same strip mall. I did find fairly close parking.

Amazing Place This…read moreplace has been having an identity crisis, but I think it's settle down now. When we first moved to the area 9 years ago, this was a Shoppers. Then it changed to a Primero Mercado. Then it changed to something else. It went through maybe half a dozen changes. We were hoping that they wouldn't give up. It's so close to home. Now it's a Megamart, and I think it's going to last. It seems to be very popular. On Saturday afternoon this place is just so packed with people. Sometimes it's hard to maneuver a shopping cart through there with so many people. So we're happy that the place is successful now. It seems to target the Latino community. It has a lot of Latin American foods. They have Coke imported from Mexico (made with sugar, not corn syrup, so it is much, much better). In the produce area they have all kinds of stuff from cactus to lychees to those little baby bananas etc. etc. etc. It's also more than JUST a supermarket. They have a butcher shop where one can buy fresh chorizo or pork chops or various cuts of meat. They have a place where you can buy fresh, hand made tortillas (corn or flour). They have a place that sells cell phones, a place that sells clothing, a place where you can wire money to other countries, I even think they sell mattresses. They have a warm foods bar that's almost like a buffet selling it by the pound. They have fresh fish and live crabs in season. They also have a place where you can get atol de elote. This is somewhere in between a warm corn flavored milk shake and thin corn flavored pudding, and it has little chunks of corn in there. It might not sound very appetizing. It didn't to me. I only tried it because someone bought it for me. No one ever buys me anything so I was so honored that those people got that for me that I tried it, and let me tell you it is scrump-silly-icious. This place also has something that no other place has. They sell 12 pack 12 oz cans of Guarana Antarctica. Guarana is a berry that grows in South America. Guarana Antarctica is a soda made with the berry. It has a very distinct taste. The berry is also a natural energy supplement. A 12 oz can is like a natural Red Bull. It's also very tasty. It's not bottled in the U.S. It has to be imported from Brazil, and this is the only place that sells it. At the cash registers they always have drop dead gorgeous make-you-want-to-get-on-your-knees-and-thank-God-you're-a-man beautiful Latinas. The last time I was in there, the girl smiled at me.

How can a store allow this? This is beyond unsafe and absolutely unacceptable. I shop here daily, but after this nightmare, I will never step foot in this place again. The other issue was I asked two employees for galangal and neither spoke English so they got someone from the back who I asked and he took me to mangos. When I showed him the word "Galangal" on my phone, he said no. After trying the HMart down the street and comparing it to how disorganized, messy, cramped, and the poor service here, I'm done with this place.

All the staple sections are there. The store was super clean which is always a super plus in my book! I noticed they have more premade and ready to cook selections than some of the other locations. The slow ambiance filled music playing in the background will have you wondering if you should be slow dancing in the aisle as the store is dimly lit on the inside. The bonus was I had a hard time finding taco shells of all things. As I stood in the middle of aisle 8 and asked a gentleman who was stocking the shelf if he worked there her responded no but he does so I turn around and the other gentleman stops and says how can I help you ma'am. I advised I was looking for taco shells and it was like he was in unison with the music as he replied aisle 16. Taco shells in hand, made my way to the checkout and was on my way. Extremely Poor Customer Service at Walmart in Manassas, VA…read more I had a very frustrating experience at this Walmart location in Manassas, VA. Although bottled water was in stock, the register was unable to process the purchase, leaving me waiting for over 20 minutes with no resolution. The supervisor was nowhere to be found, there was no clear communication from staff, and no one took responsibility for assisting customers or resolving the issue. There was a complete lack of customer assistance, quality control, and basic empathy for customers' time. A simple purchase should not turn into a 20-minute ordeal. Walmart needs to improve its checkout procedures, management availability, and customer service standards. Customers deserve timely assistance, clear communication, and accountability--not unnecessary delays and indifference.
