CHECK your receipt after you pay. The store manager is so rude, and their price is base on their computer, not the sign they posted. Once you found price is wrong, the manager not even to check to price sign they posted, he use computer to scan again, then tell you the price you pay is right. The mexican waiters and waitresses including fish guys and cashiers were so stupid that they did a terrible job. Cashers were so stupid that they could not do the basic math even though elementary school students can do that. Fish guys were so stupid that they gave me the rotten fishes. This location is clean and friendly service. They don't really give out rainchecks, but can be persuaded... if you have the card you can also get more deals and coupons. This is recommended. Ample parking and if you go on the weekend you may be able to try new dishes and exotic fruit. read more

This store is not handicap accessible! In an effort to tightly control the movement of their grocery carts, they have put up barriers all around the store, which will prevent some wheelchairs from getting through. They have locked gates that can be opened, but you have to get into the store to ask someone to open it. read more

I really love the prices, the organization and the different kinds of foods, Hmart recently opened a new bakery, im looking forward to going. The only thing i hate about this store is that there are about 15 lines and they only keep 5 open. The staff is very strict(not everyone) there are about ten people with a lunch break at the same time. When i'm in line waiting; most of the time theyll just put the lane closed sign. Great vegetable selections here. They've got alooottt of varieties always stocked up. Just wish they were organic. Fruits selection also good. I only shop in the fresh produce section and meat section. Staying away from all canned and frozen goods as much as possible. The meats are relatively fresh. Pick up your produce and meats here for crazy low prices, then head over to Trader Joe's for everything else. Yes, it's crowded, but the checkout lines go fast. Employees are helpful, and it's great fun to browse the aisles for items you've never heard of. It's also clean. My son and I had a bad experience. We went there yesterday to buy some groceries. There were couple table had food tasting. I was not interested to try the food, but my son really want to try the Korean red bean pancake. So we walked to the tasting table but no food on the tasting tray so we walked away. After we walked away, I saw the lady in tasting table put the the food for people to try. Once she saw us walked tower to her, she hide the food under the table. I was think that much at the first time, so we just walked away again. Once we start to walk away, she started to give out samples. We tried to walk back the 3rd times, she hide the food again. I was really piss off, I know she was intentional. So I told my son gave up on the red bean pancake and try something else. My husband and my son walked to an other tasting table near by but the tasting lady weren't there. They were just standing there waiting for the tasting lady came back. They didn't even touch anything. Then the red bean pancake lady saw them and came over quickly to put the food away. She was so discussed. We didn't even do anything but her behavior full of discrimination and that hurt my son's feel. He didn't understand why he was being treated like this. I am used to the H-Mart in Atlanta and Han Kook in Sunnyvale so this H-Mart fell short of my expectations. It was much smaller than what I am used to and even a bit dirty for my liking. I thought I would never go back but then I went to Grand Mart in Gaithersburg and realized that this is probably the best bet in the area. Experienced discrimination. A man and I were standing at the counter and he asked for a coupon book and received it right away. I asked for one and I was asked if I am a member, if not, sign a form. I asked what was the difference between me and him. She insisted I sign this form and said she made a mistake with him. That's not my fault. If he received one, why couldn't I receive one. 100% discrimination. I will not support this establishment and let others know you will only be treated fairly if you are of a certain nationality. They will accept your money but not treat you fairly. They are trying to grow their business but not at my expense. It's 2012 but some things will never change. read more

This place needs to train their employees how to better their customer service. Having experiences shopping at many Asian supermarkets in Montgomery County, I usually don't have high expectation on the customer service but the arrogance of this cashier really surprised me. I passed by the frozen seafood section and saw one item with a sign above showing $2.99 being crossed out and changed to 1.99, and picked one up but after checking out, I was charged $2.99 for the item. I had to go back to ask for a manager, there was not a manager in the office, so I talked to this cashier who wasn't busy. First, she said the price was right looking only at the receipt, then I told her to check the price. When she came back, she said only one particular kind is on sale, not the kind I bought. With 2 young kids waiting at the door, I didn't have time to reconfirm that so I asked to return the item. As I tried to mention how confusing their signs were and I was over charged for another item not too long ago, instead of showing some understanding or apology, she said "it is your own fault". I was very appalled by such arrogant and rude behavior, and decided not to go back again. One of 2 worst customer experiences I ever had, and the other one was at Lotte in Germantown. Got it? There was just something about these Korean business and how they treat their customers. I urge people not to shop there for some 20 cents you save on grocery but for our dignity as a consumer in America. read more
