    I am following up from my last review over two years ago for HL Bowman Incorporated. Since we had the heating unit installed we have had so many problems with this unit! From technicians, not knowing how to program it, the heat pump not working properly, our emergency Heat kept kicking on constantly, the amount of stress, anxiety, and fear that our Home would burn down from being unsure if the thing was even wired properly! There were over 15 visits at least to our Home to try and rectify this! There was a manager named Cody S. Who finally seemed to have gotten the unit working properly, however, the original ductwork was not touched, and some of our rooms Don't seem to get any heating or cooling at all! Since December our electric bill has increased so high after we were told that our bill would actually decrease with this new unit! Mind you this is not the first time we have had a high electric bill with this unit, but because of the timeframe I'm just mentioning since this past December forward. Our upcoming Bill for February is over $700! Why is it that our electric bill with a brand new heat pump would be $700??!! My husband called in to get service done and we were told by the receptionist that our service contract was expired after one year. Cody S told us because of all of the problems that we had that our service contract would be extended from five years to 10 years! Now we find out that we have zero coverage after one year! We are just livid! I'm so disgusted with this company after everything that we've gone through with them! Oh, and after our last visit with George, we noticed that our emergency Heat was coming on. Cody had disconnected that completely stating that Heat pumps don't need that. now who that H !! Is telling us the truth? Who is lying? They took our money which was like $22,000 sent a bunch of uneducated, installers for this particular system, And ran away with it! In my last review, I noted that Brian F had given us options to fit our budget. We did not choose the highest level because he told us that we did not need it. We trusted him as a professional in this field, and went with the middle grade unit per his recommendation. What I do know is, I will never ever use this company again, give out referrals as I've done and found out that each of the referrals that I gave has also had severe problems with the same company! One person barely had heat when it was so cold during this last month! Terrible lack of integrity! Anyone else out here have the same problems / issues? Contact me so we can talk together. Thanks!

    The attic floor and the ceiling at my back door caved in because of H. L. Bowman's faulty Daikon mini-split and faulty installation.

    NEGATIVE STARS 1. The Daikon' ductless mini-split' unit, sold to me by Brian Enders and installed by H.L. Bowman Incorporated, unleashed a deluge that not only saturated the hardwood floor in my dining room but also flowed onto bookshelves and drawers in the room below, drenching 25 family photo albums. 2. The water pooled atop and between each section of my quarter-sawn oak Stickley barrister bookcase. 3. The water seeped inside each section of the bookcase. 4. The water ran onto particularly important and expensive books, framed photographs, as well as four small wooden boxes containing four of my dog's cremains. 5. In past years, water from a second-floor unit emitted sufficient water to cause a 12' by 5' section of the upstairs floor to crash through to the main floor. All furniture and items in that 12' by 5' section were so water-damaged that they had to be discarded. Water ran behind the plaster and into the wiring contained within the plaster walls. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 6. In past years, water from a basement unit emitted sufficient water to cause an entire wall of built-in cabinetry to be destroyed and have to be replaced. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 7. In past years, four of the six "ductless mini-split" units have simply not worked. They do not cool. They do not heat. They hang on the wall and blink. 8. Throughout these years of destruction, distress, and financial duress caused by the six 'ductless mini-splits,' Brian Enders has consistently refused to rectify the problem. 9. The FIRST REASON Brian Enders uses to refuse to rectify the problem: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit, Brian Enders offered substandard assistance. He sent a contractor to my home to spackle over water-damaged plaster, thus sealing water inside the walls. When I saw the inferior repairs Enders offered, I stated that I was going to call my lawyer. Enders said that because I had threatened legal action, his company would no longer serve me. 10. The SECOND REASON Brian Enders gives for refusing to rectify the problems: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit and Brian Enders offered substandard assistance, I wrote bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company "all over the internet." (Enders words.) Yes. I did, indeed, write bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, "all over the internet" and will continue to do so until Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, make the six Daikon "mini-split" units they installed in my home work properly. 11. Because Brian Enders and his company, refuse to help me, I have paid five other companies, & one private contractor, to come to my home to diagnose and repair the six Daikon "ductless mini-split" units. Each one has been unable to do so. Each one says that there is something so faulty about these units &/or the installation of these units that it is impossible to determine what is actually wrong with them. 12. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I tried to set up a service call with H.L Bowman, Incorporated, using a form on their website. 13. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I received a text from H.L. Bowman confirming an appointment for Monday, June 24, 2024, with a note relating that on the day of the service, I would receive a call 30 minutes before the technician arrived. 14. On Monday, June 24, 2024, I instead received a phone call from H.L. Bowman informing me that they are too busy serving their VIP customers to send a technician out to serve me. Today is Tuesday, June 24, 2025. H.L. Bowman has still not rectified their financial and material injury to me. Read less

In this case, we needed to replace a natural gas hot water boiler and the water tank connected to it and we hired LCS. LCS had glowing reviews here on Yelp and I hoped they were true when we decided to hire them. I can say now that those reviews weren't glowing enough. LCS's attention to detail and their commitment to the quality of their work is amazing. Three anecdotes to give you a feel: 1) They were to arrive on day 1 of a 2-day installation at 8:30 am. They arrived at 8:33 and the first words out of their mouth were a sincere apology for being late. 2) At the end of the job, they found that the thermostat they had was not the one they ordered, and they asked to stop by the next day to install the correct one. While here the next day, they noticed a drip from the exhaust vent that that might possibly hint at a thing that, someday, in the exact wrong conditions, could possibly cause a problem with exhaust pressure. And they then spent the next 6 hours very, very, very slightly rerouting the exhaust to correct that fault. 3) Later that same day, at supper time, the new thermostat - which was working fine when they left - failed; it wasn't demanding heat. I called and they were back within 20 minutes with a new thermostat. The system has worked flawlessly since. These guys are a small locally owned small business. Just some guys trying to make a living. Jason, Jonathan and Patrick are the ones I know they're legitimate, honest, responsive professionals who are trying to do it right. Reward them.

He explained everything in layman's terms and made sure I understood what was going to happen. After selecting LCS we were pleased in how quickly they were able to get the job scheduled and completed. Our new Heat pump system is so much better than the old oil system. It's quiet, efficient, and does not have that smell. Jason, Pat, and John worked well as a team each getting their part done and letting me know along the way how the process was going. I am really happy with our choice to go with Legacy Comfort Systems and you will be too.

The faucet was learking. The serviceman was there a total of 3 hours. They charged me $2100 for 3 hours of work! How can they justify $700 for an hourly rate? I just acquired a lawyer at $425 an hour. I have been a member for 25 years. I will never call them for their services again. This is totally ridiciulous for having a faucet put into a bathtub and 3 hours of work. This was not on the weekend not was it at night or a holiday. What plumbing service also chages $700 an hour? This is unacceptable and do not use H.B. Mcclure. I will not ever call them back and I will post this on every social media platform.

S. into your house. He did nothing but complain about the cat smell from the second he came in the door. My house does nit smell. I just had another of their techs in my house a week before and he managed to stand in that same room and talk for 15 minutes. I also had 2 other people in there and no smell. Anyway I suggested since he thought it smelled so bad to just leave and I would reschedule with some other tech. Nope he decided to stay. So I sprayed to get rid of the smell that wasn't there to start with. He went back to the office and told them he was violently ill after he left due to the conditions and smell. So they told me they cancelled my service contract!!! Wait. WHAT? Because of this techs B S. I said send someone out to check out the basement and see he gave them BS. Nope won't do that. But we'll cancel your contract and refuse service. My opinion. Jerk move! All based on 1 persons perspective. Don't bother to talk to any other service techs that have been there from their company. Why waste your time getting the truth. I have used this company for over 20 years. Moving on to a company that cares about their customers and cares about the truth. ​

    In 2020, I contacted UGI about installing gas service. I had previously reached out to them and…read morethe cost would have been $800. This time, the line was free as long as gas appliances were hooked up within a certain time frame. We had two huge oil tanks in the basement and the oil furnace was large; all of these were removed. The estimator was fabulous and described how all the work would be done and how long it would take. The installation went pretty well but for some reason, the crew put the meter directly in front of the our driveway water spigot. The estimator came back the day of the installation and seemed as perplexed as me so he got a pipe wrench and removed the meter and reversed its position to effectively move it about a foot. The fellas who came to the house to remove the old furnace and replace it were incredible. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year and I was working from home and didn't like the idea of being without air conditioning while they replaced the furnace. No worries: from the time they began work, at 8am, until the new furnace was installed and the air conditioning was working, was less than two hours. I was hugely impressed that those gigantic oil tanks were removed up the interior steps and out the kitchen door. They were even larger in appearance in the driveway than they looked in the basement and I am grateful to have them gone. Anyway, things went well. The estimator came back to check on the progress throughout the day of installation and came back afterward to make a small adjustment at my request. Oddly, the condensate pump on the furnace stopped working while we were away on vacation so we came home to a sweltering house. I called UGI and within an hour, a technician came, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the pump. Switching from oil to a high-efficiency, multi-speed gas furnace has been the most-sound investment in the house. The new furnace works reliably, quietly, efficiently, and provides more comfort than the older one -- which was still in great condition -- I just wanted to switch.
