This place is junior varsity to say the least! What turned into a trip with my girlfriend to get an procedure done similar to Botox, turned into a massive time bulgar with extra associated costs. I wish I never heard of this place. Initially my girlfriend purchased $2500 worth of cold sculpting and Jeuveau injectables. My girlfriend purchased the injectables for me and her to do together, but when we went to the clinic we found that she could not transfer the credits to me, which seemed odd because they were already purchased. I elected to buy them myself to support my girlfriend and do something new together. $370 later with a $75 coupon I found myself pretty excited since they were projected to last 4 months or so. Long story short. I went back for another procedure because the initial application did not work and spots were missed. I looked like I had bad Botox . I came back a week or so later to get it fixed and was charged $75 more dollars, which I would have paid $1000 at this point to get myself from looking the way I did. I then took a third trip back because my wrinkles came back in 3 weeks. After talking with Dr Hensley he said 3 others had stated the same problem that were treated the same day (my girlfriend being one of them) and it could be a bad batch. Dr. Hensley and I talked while I explained that I would be a life long customer if we could find a product that worked. He stated he would give me a credit, and to check in a week or so. I called today and no credit was applied. Notes were put in my file regarding my issue but no credit. He straight up lied to my face, and his administrative clerk/ social media rep was the one who had to deal with it. I felt bad for her. My girlfriend on the other hand was told she never received a promotional deal and each treatment would be at full cost. This was done after all of her treatments were complete. Unfortunately we have the flyer and my girlfriend purchased the items with 2 other of her girlfriends, so we will see how this turns out. In the end I'm very disappointed in how me and my girlfriend were treated by the owner and some staff members. It felt like we became the enemy when we just wanted to buy and try some of the services available. I feel like they are struggling to pay the bills or something and they need every dollar they can get. read more

I've been going to Low Country Plastic Surgery Center for laser hair removal. The staff is always super friendly and professional. Morgan is great to work, she'll make you feel as comfortable as you can be during the process. After looking at all the other services they have to offer there I decided to schedule a consult with Dr. Hensel to look into some things that I wasn't happy with about my body. Dr. Hensel explained the procedures to me in great detail and what the down time would be and what results I could expect. He was very honest, he told me the difference would be pretty minimal but we could try, in the end I decided it wasn't worth it. I will say this though if I did decide to something I would go there, he was honest and didn't try to talk me into anything or sell me on anything. He could have very easily told me I would be so happy with the results just to get me to do it, but he didn't he gave me an honest answer which I so appreciate. read more

My appointment was at two. I sat in the waiting room until 2:55. Then I sat another 15 minutes in the exam room until the doctor actually saw me. I was also charged a $60 consultation fee which I was never told about until I was standing in their office. I've never been charged a consultation fee from any other med spa or doctor. I was taken aback by it. Especially when the gal I spoke to on the phone bragged about how their customers are always told up front about pricing..."no surprises" is what she said. Then the first minute I'm there...surprise!!! The doctor was nice enough but never apologized for keeping me waiting over an hour. I guess my time isn't as important as his time. Ok so I had never visited or entertained any cosmetic procedure previously but called to make an appointment for the free consultation for non invasive options with wrinkles on the face. I made the appointment because the consultation was free. I wanted to know what to expect and understand how long it lasts, costs, etc before proceeding. The nurse that took me back clearly had injections that didn't look like anything I would want... it was very puffy and noticeable. While waiting I'm reading this horrible reviews and think, oh boy... I should of done my research before! Then... the same nurse comes in and says it will be $60 just to speak to the doctor. I said ok... I was told it was free for a consultation, in fact I clarified because that is why I am here... She said but you said you won't be doing injections today so he is only free if you are. What?!? That defeats the point of a consultation?! I will never step foot back into this place that wastes my time and the staff that has had procedures... are extremely noticeable! I had an appointment the other day for a laser procedure. Upon arrival I was told that the procedure was 12 times the amount I had paid in the past. Yes 12 times! I drove 70 miles thinking that I was going to pay what I had in the previous visits, which was only 6 months prior. No one had bothered to call me before my visit to let me know of the exorbitant increase. Nor was there anyone there that was willing to make any adjustments to the current price. I think this was pretty inconsiderate and unprofessional on the part of the office staff and I was very disappointed with the way I was treated. So my first time with them was when I was get a breast reduction. And might I say Doctor Hensal did a wonderful job. I went from a 42 EEE to a beautiful perky 36 B size. I only had three appointments before I agreed to have this procedure done and I asked him tons of questions and he answered them all. He really knows his stuff. In fact in one of the rooms there is a magazine article on him from Vogue I think. And it rates him the number one plastic surgeon around. Im now back in there office again doing their HCG and B12 weight loss program. And yes this program works. I was 191.6 and as of today Im 160.3 and its only day 19. This program can be a bit expensive but well worth the money. The staff is very helpful and supportive and if you have any question they get back with you asap. I emailed them at 10pm and had an answer by midnight. So they seem to always be on call. read more

This review is ONLY for the weight loss (HCG diet) services. My first round in Jan-Feb 2014 was a success with 27 lbs lost in 36 days. Tomorrow I start round two and hoping to have similar results. There are two options for this diet. The cost is $388 for a 21 day round or $520 (special price) for a 43 day round. Think the standard price is around $580 for the 43 day round. Amelia is my dietician. She's very down to earth, supportive, and responsive. I was referred to her by a friend. My friend and her husband also had fantastic results with the diet last year. Located in an office park on the corner of the IOP Connector and Hungryneck across from the DVM in Mt P, the facility is very clean. The reception staff is friendly and welcoming. They gave me a free microdermabrasion! I'll be sure to report back afterwards. Will also be trying their laser hair removal services soon and report back. read more

I have never met the doctor but went in to have laser treatment done by Tonya. My face has never been the same and I look much worse from the damage done. The laser procedure was painful and damaged my skin. I have a permanent mark across my forehead that was never there prior and was told it would "fade" and it has not. I'd do anything to turn back the clock and never set foot in that office. read more

My first experience here was for microdermabrasion. The technician was nice and it seemed to brighten my face a bit, but definitely was not something I would do again for $100. One thing I really love about this office is they're always running specials and promotions. They gave me $25 off just for liking their Facebook page. You also get money off if you leave reviews. One downfall with the promotions is that I don't think everyone is on the same page with accurate information about it. I was told multiple times that I would be able to get $50 off by signing up on the Latisse website and was financially prepared for a certain price and then once I was in the office they told me that that was not accurate. So that was pretty frustrating because I feel like if it was my company I would have said, okay well we're going to make sure that we have the manager contact you and take care of this because you were told multiple times the wrong thing. However, with the managers being out of town, I don't think the front desk could do anything at that time other than have the managers contact me, which she did not say that she would do. The second time I went in was for a lash lift and permanent mascara. The negative aspects of it was that they squeeze you into this closet-sized room with another person laying right beside you only a couple feet away. Super awkward at first especially if you're used to being alone getting extensions and such. The other thing is this room is basically in the lobby without even a real door. There's just like a sign that is in between you and the lobby and you can hear everything that's going on in the lobby which doesn't bring the most relaxing environment. Also for such an expensive service, I would assume that they would be paying for a Spotify or Pandora subscription of some sort, but they weren't. So, every few minutes or so in between your stereotypical relaxing music, would be a loud Taco Bell commercial of some sort yelling about nacho fries. I just feel like that's kind of dropping the ball when you own a high-end salon. Also, the lights in that room were so intensely bright that it was really difficult to be looking up while they were doing the procedure. I know that they need bright lights to see but maybe there could be something out there to help with that situation. Like maybe they can switch out the bulbs to something easier on the eyes but still bright. I was super nervous and chatty and my technician was not super sweet or friendly but also was not rude by any means. I just felt like the other girl that was working on the other person had a little bit better bedside manner. There was a few times where she would pull a lash pretty hard to where it would make me jump because it hurt and wouldn't even apologize. They also ran out of under eye pads which is a super big deal to me because instead they just used something similar to medical tape which was super rough and I feel like kind of damaged my skin a little bit. I think that it's kind of un-excusable to run out of such a key thing and still offer that service. Especially without telling people or giving them some sort of discount for not getting what you normally would get. They also said it would be 1.5 hours & it took 2 so I was 45 mins late to work. The positives were that my lashes really do look amazing. It looks like I have extensions only not as many lashes of course but the thickness and the length and everything from the Lash lift and the mascara really makes my eyes pop and I'm super satisfied. I'm very excited to try the Latisse. I will come back to lpsc but I do hope they listen to my feedback. UPDATE: They did call me the next day & told me that they have applied some of the feedback & issued me the $50 previous discounted offer. I will be updating this review after my next visit, to reflect any changes they made. read more

Doctor Hansell of Low Country Plastic Surgery performed a breast reduction on me. He mutilated my breasts with scar tissue, and unevenly placed my nipples on my breasts. One is at the top of the breast, facing the sky, and the other is in the middle of the breast facing out. He blamed the nurses, and said that they must have sat me up wrong during the surgery. This business gets zero stars from me. I had to leave one to post, but they really get ZERO stars!!! They're so called laser hair removal DOES NOT WORK at all. I have had EIGHT treatment and i still have the same amount of hair now compared to when i first started. I know how i respond to laser hair treatments because i have had many areas done at IDEAL, and I don't have any hair in the treated areas from IDEAL. This place failed me tremendously. The cool sculpting is a joke as well. I was told that they would treat the same area twice. Well, the first technician treated one area and when i went for the second treatment there was a new girl. I mentioned to her that i was told that the same area was to be retreated. She said no, so because of that, i see no results. Then i was blamed by one of the staff who said to me "why didn't you tell the technician what to do"? SAY WHAT NOW?!!! Never have i been seen by the doctor and i asked several times. Not even offering to do a retouch for me or anything else for that matter. Chose another doctor, one who care about his patients not just about the dollar. SMH. read more

My review is long, so I will give a quick summary; I went to LCPS for a Breast augmentation and a lift. I was left with crooked nipples (almost one inch apart), a dent in one breast, horrible scars (visible in most swimsuits and bras) and really small breasts. I was expected to pay to fix my uneven nipples, Dr. Hensel does not stand behind his work and he does not care about his patients satisfaction. Here is the long version, please read if you are considering a BA with LCPS I do not have anything positive to say about my experience with Low Country Plastic Surgery. Dr. Hensel does not stand behind his work. I feel he does not genuinely care about his patients being happy or listen to their wants, I was just a pay day. He gets paid ahead of time and if you don't feel you got the results you discussed in your consultation, there is not much you can do. I went to LCPS for a breast augmentation and a lift. I was left with crooked nipples (almost one inch difference), small breasts, HORRIBLE scars, a dent in one breast-and I had to pay for a second surgery to fix the abnormalities caused by my original surgery. After discussing my issues with Dr. Hensel he determined he could lower my nipple to make them even (remember, I paid for a lift, now I am paying for him to lower my nipple back to its original position because that was easier and cheaper for him) he also hoped the revision would fix my dent (it didn't). I was expected to pay $1,000 for this revision surgery!! They did negotiate it down to $500 however, I feel it should have been free because these issues were created from my first surgery. They were very quick to tell me how they were doing me a favor, and he was losing money. I paid for a lift and was left with nipples that were almost one inch apart, that is not a minor asymmetry, that is a very big deal. During the revision, I opted to only use a local anesthetic, meaning I was fully awake and fully aware, not once did Dr. Hensel sit me up, which he said he would, to make sure I was even. I wonder if he sat me up during the original surgery when I was not conscience, like he said he did and swore they were even?? During the revision surgery as soon as he was done sewing me up, he walked out. While the revision did even out my nipples (for the most part) it DID NOT fix the dent in my breast. If I want to have him try again, I will be expected to pay for a THIRD surgery. Dr. Hensel clearly does not stand behind his work. He makes it very clear he has to cover costs and staff but in my opinion I already paid for the cost of supplies and his nurses with my first two surgeries. The staff at LCPS, were very rude. They expressed several times that both of my surgeries were elective-not required, making it seem as if this was my fault I was back because I chose to have a BA in the first place. I also have HORRIBLE scars. Three of my sisters have had BA since I have had mine and their scars are not noticeable. Mine are visible in most bathing suits and bras. I was told you would not be able to see them. My sister showed my scars to her dr and they were horrified! They said I would need shots and if I were their patient they would be fixing it free of charge. My sisters and I all had the same procedure with different doctors and VERY different results, please, please,please look elsewhere if you want to be happy with your results. I am 100% unhappy with my experience and results from Dr. Hensel. Last but not least I want to discuss my size. LCPS advertises the braless look! I described i wanted fake looking breasts. I wanted the full, round cleavage that only a BA can give you.I wanted them to look like I paid $8,000 for them. I repeatedly asked if I was being realistic with my goals for this surgery and Dr. Hensel repeatedly assured me my goals were obtainable with the size implant he suggested. Dr Hensel suggested 300cc I picked 385cc, the biggest offered to me and my results are wildly disappointing! My breasts are not even as big as they were pre baby and I still don't have cleavage. I wasted my money. Dr. Hensel didn't really listen to me, he just gave me whatever implant he felt like. Now I am left feeling worse about myself and like a fool for trusting him with my body. When I asked about implant exchange I was told $3,500 over the phone but when I went to the office I was told closer to $5,000. So now I am out $8,000 and trying to figure out how to hide my scars all summer. Before my surgery I was so excited to wear a bathing suit this summer.. Now I am left dreading it, hoping I can find a decent swimsuit to cover my scars. Dr. Hensel mutilated my body, please do not trust him with yours. read more

I came to LPSC to have something done about my neck area. I was given my options by Dr. Hensel, and decided to try Kybella. I originally planned to have it done by a leading dermatologist in the MP area, but for various reasons that steered me away from her, I chose Dr. Hensel, instead. And I am very happy that I did. I have had 5 (or 6?) treatments so far, and am due for my last one in a couple of weeks. Dr. Hensel and his staff have gone beyond their call of duty to make sure that I am happy with my results. And Dr. Hensel takes his time to explain everything and is very approachable, patient, and realistic. Terrible experience at this poorly run practice. I've had several services over the past couple years and two issues continued to occur. One, the front desk staff nearly always leaves patients waiting while they have lengthy personal conversations with other staff or patients. Two, I've driven 45 minutes in the middle of my work day and two separate times was told after waiting 20 minutes that my appointment had been rescheduled. The 2nd time, the office manager told me she left me several messages but had to use my slot for a patient that was cancelled due to the hurricane. I'd scheduled 6 weeks prior after my initial microblading service and she did not even attempt to call my cell phone, only an old number that I removed during my demographic update 6 weeks prior. Regardless, she showed me that they had my cell phone in their system but her excuse for not calling was "I've been working so much, I must have missed it." She promised to refund half of my money over a month ago but I haven't received anything. I had to go to another practice and pay for the entire service again. Fortunately, I was able to book with Morgan (who quit LowCountry months ago) and she corrected the bad job done by staff at LPSC. I discovered later that at least 8 of LPSC's staff quit the Monday after the storm so they clearly have some serious management issues. BEWARE! read more

I went there for filler injection consultation and they gave me high hopes and big expectations but the result was completely different!! a few weeks after injection ,all injected areas were badly swollen and all products were like a big lump under my skin and my lips were as big as a pillow! I was shocked and scared and I panicked ...after 3 months ,I am still suffering and I have sleepless nights and I am embarrassed to go out because my face is really deformed!! as patient as I have been with all these problems,Dr Hensel was not sympathetic at all and did not offer any help! and I wasn't the only one,i was with my two other friends, they did the same procedure and also have problems!
