Initially my girlfriend purchased $2500 worth of cold sculpting and Jeuveau injectables. My girlfriend purchased the injectables for me and her to do together, but when we went to the clinic we found that she could not transfer the credits to me, which seemed odd because they were already purchased. I elected to buy them myself to support my girlfriend and do something new together. $370 later with a $75 coupon I found myself pretty excited since they were projected to last 4 months or so. Long story short. I went back for another procedure because the initial application did not work and spots were missed. I looked like I had bad Botox . I came back a week or so later to get it fixed and was charged $75 more dollars, which I would have paid $1000 at this point to get myself from looking the way I did. I then took a third trip back because my wrinkles came back in 3 weeks. After talking with Dr Hensley he said 3 others had stated the same problem that were treated the same day (my girlfriend being one of them) and it could be a bad batch. Dr. Hensley and I talked while I explained that I would be a life long customer if we could find a product that worked. He stated he would give me a credit, and to check in a week or so. I called today and no credit was applied. Notes were put in my file regarding my issue but no credit. He straight up lied to my face, and his administrative clerk/ social media rep was the one who had to deal with it. I felt bad for her. My girlfriend on the other hand was told she never received a promotional deal and each treatment would be at full cost. This was done after all of her treatments were complete. Unfortunately we have the flyer and my girlfriend purchased the items with 2 other of her girlfriends, so we will see how this turns out. In the end I'm very disappointed in how me and my girlfriend were treated by the owner and some staff members. It felt like we became the enemy when we just wanted to buy and try some of the services available. I feel like they are struggling to pay the bills or something and they need every dollar they can get.

In…read morethe examination room where I waited a brief time, I saw on the walls the photos, newspaper reports and other proof of the numerous children in other countries who previously had hemangiomas (large red, swollen places) on their faces before he operated on them FOR FREE. I asked him if he still did this, as some photos and reports were 15 years ago. With a bit of pride, he does. (Later in speaking with a lady at church who had seen him she said that he had told her that his plastic surgery practice is what he still does in order to fund his charitable work.) For me, he needed only a quick exam of the venous malformation (VM--congenital, and not cancerous or dangerous, he noted) but spent a lot of time explaining my three options including not doing anything. I will be going back to him after I make an appointment and have him do the injections. After all, that is my choice and my regular dermatologist referred me to Dr. Hochman. Thus, he came well recommended, and his knowledge and patience with this patient was very helpful and soothing.

He attempted to convince me that nothing was wrong (after cancelling a follow up on 3 different occasions). He is completely unwilling to take ANY responsibility for his work. I had another surgeon break and fix my nose, even though Harvey claimed he only operated on the tip cartilage... and the eyes? 2 revisions later on my left eye and a total of $9000 later. The funniest part is when I went to see him one last time for my nose (as suggested by another surgeon), his office called me 30 minutes before my appointment asking to cancel AGAIN, unless I could tell him what I needed to quickly. The office staff lied about having my before and after pics, said I needed to sign an affidavit at the West Ashley office to get my medical records. When I got to that last appointment (in Mt. Pleasant), the nurse had all my records and pictures in my folder. Harvey walks in with nasty scowl, looks at me and proceeds to say, "what do you want today? My house got hit by the hurricane in Edisto. I'm not in a good mood." There are no words appropriate for public display about this man's character or ethics. DO NOT give him a dime, because once he has your money and your surgery is over, he won't take responsibility for a "bad day" if he botches your face or body.

Really nice guy, bad at rhinoplasty. He absolutely botched my nose…read more His office staff was super nice and consistently called to check up on me, which was nice.....but that doesn't mean anything if the doctor isn't so skilled, to put it nicely. I went in for purely cosmetic reasons and he ended up GIVING me a deviated septum. Yeah, you read that right. I can only breathe at 20% at best from my right nostril now! This is not because of swelling, or to just wait it out and it'll all be fine a year after surgery because it's been 5 years. I am now having to get a revision rhinoplasty solely because of Dr. Costa. I met with him a year after and expressed my problems to him. He checked it out and said it looked perfect and there is nothing to change. My nose was straight before, never had problems breathing. He literally made my nose visibly crooked. No joke, it looks like someone kneed me in the face and broke my nose. And I can't breathe well now. Apparently this guy is good at facelifts, but he did a rhinoplasty, and that didn't go so well. Shortly after my surgery and prior to me waiting a year to see the real results, I allowed myself to be blinded by his sweet staff and actually referred my friend to him for a rhinoplasty.
