Location This event is now hosted on Enterprise, in the same…read moreplaza as Good Catch, Goodlife and the VIP cinemas. Parking (including underground) is quite limited there - so best to come carpooling or explore nearby parking. One good thing is that the organizer does have a designated parking area setup for people coming in. Setup There are multiple vendors - from food, drinks to small gifts, organizations and even non-profits to promote anything! There are also festivities and live performances based on a schedule - so make sure to grab a seat if you want to watch any of them. I usually come for the food - to see what's new and exciting and what is not out there in restaurants. Inflation over the years have risen a lot of prices - so it could range anywhere from $10 for a drink to $15-$20 for food. Quantity wise - depending on where you look - can vary. You may have to spend at least 1-2 dishes to feel full. It's a staple yearly event that happens in Markham - definitely do check it out - and you may little hidden surprises !

NIU's always been synonymous with funky smell, gimmicky lights, a packed crowd and overpriced food. Yet the reason, I suppose ppl go is the camaraderie with friends and for a night out w/ significant others? The annual event always happens in the markham VIP theater parking lot and you'll probably need to park near the AVIVA building. Parking fills up quick so you might need to end up parking far and walking over. As soon you get near you'll notice the pungent smell of stinky tofu wafting through the entire lot and permeating your nostrils. My first year back this year w/ my gf and everything started at $10+. I think I must've spent close to $150 by the end of the night. Gf was happy. My wallet? Not so much LOOLL. They had dance, band and singer performances on a main stage throughout the night (basically like an outdoor concert). If you get lost from your group of friends good luck trying to find them cuz chances are you're not gonna have good cell signal either. You'll see a lot of gimmicky food vendors at NIU so pick and choose wisely! Cool experience for a first time if you've never been. If you've already been, you can hard skip a couple years before revisiting. It's always the same thing so you won't ever feel the FOMO.

The price has gone up quite a lot (inflation, ya know). And the flavors may feel a bit basic compared to newer, trendier donut places out there. But the nostalgic still hits hard with this one. And you can't ever go wrong with their classic flavors. They offer common, icing sugar, apple, cinnamon and chocolate. My go to is icing sugar and cinnamon. This is their permanent location as they used to be sold exclusively at the CNE. Prices are of course way better at the storefront compared to the CNE. I love that the donuts are made fresh to order and are piping hot when you eat them. Also, support local! Tiny Tom Donjts is Toronto born and has been around since the 60s!

Was really tempted to ask someone to buy together as there's a promo for 3 dozen and you get a dozen free. There's also a coupon on the back of the bag so don't throw it out. No where to sit but not really expecting to stick around. Can be a wait if there's a lot of people as only one person is making the donuts and one person doing cash. Kids had fun looking at the mirrors that make you tall or short. Lots of parking outside.

It's a great idea since this cuts down on a lot of waste with the one time use styrofoam or plastic non-recyclable containers. You can asked to be placed on their email distribution list and they'll send you a list of what dishes they'll be making in certain days. You call ahead to place your order and are given a number. When you get there you tell them your number and provide them with your containers for the food. It seems as though a lot of people leave their containers and bags there and gone back to pick up their food later. There were 2 shelves filled with environmental bags. The food is tasty and not too salty or greasy unlike a lot of other takeout places.

This review is for frozen dim sum only…read more Overall - 4 stars. I had craved dim sum for a while now but had been reluctant to dine out nor bother to drive all the way to get takeout weekly, so I opted to buy a batch of frozen dim sum from this vendor last weekend. I heard of this vendor via referral of a friend. The frozen dim sum I chose were all of the "steam" nature, as I believed they would be easier to prepare. I called the vendor. Jennifer sent a text message with a link to an online form to me, along with pictures of the menu. The actual ordering was straight forward, just selected a picture and the quantity. The total cost was displayed at end of ordering. The prices were inclusive of sales tax, so there was no surprise or mental mathematics required. Jennifer replied by email soon after acknowledging the order and the pickup time. When I arrived at store, I rang a bell and waited at the entrance lobby as part of the Covid 19 protocol. A lady asked for my name and order. Jennifer counted the quantity in person with me to confirm everything ordered was in the bag. Money changed hands and the transaction was completed smoothly and professionally. 5 stars for process. I steamed the dim sum. I estimated that the quality and size were on par with the "flat price" dim sum at restaurants, and definitely better quality than the frozen ones from grocery stores. The Chai Siu Bao and Chiu Chow Dumplings were particularly delicious. The regular Shrimp Dumplings were fresh but small (there is a jumbo size Shrimp Dumpling available for ordering should you desire). The Siu Mai were smaller than expected. 3 stars for food. The pricing of everything I chose was way cheaper than restaurants, so the value was justified. 4 stars for value.
