It turned out that we may have had enough turkey & gravy for 10 people, as well as enough potatoes for 10 people. Our veggies on the other hand would have been enough for 30-40 people. We were very disappointed with the amounts. We had asked for a whole turkey at least 20 lbs. being we were having 17 people. Something certainly went wrong at their end, mind you the food was very good, just not enough of the mains. I did send an email to Jessica who looked after our request, but to date no response whatsoever. I would be very cautious when ordered from Casal Catering.

I had checked reviews for catering services in Barrie and didn't find very much information so it was a bit of a gamble on anything we did choose. We chose Casal because they responded promptly to our initial inquiry and to any subsequent questions we had. The prices they quoted were also very competitive. I was a little nervous about all of this before the event because everything had just seemed too smooth and easy. I needn't have worried. The food arrived at the exact time we had requested and they delivered exactly what they said they would. We had many extremely good comments about the food. In summary they were very good to deal with, very professional and delivered exactly what they had promised. Everything went exactly as planned without one single hitch. So I feel very comfortable recommending them to anyone looking for a similar service.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! SECOND-RATE WOULD BE A FEW STEPS UP FOR THEM…read more Just the facts about what we experienced during a WEDDING this weekend; 1. Showed up late. Blamed transportation issues 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive. Finally arrived 1.5 hours later. 2. Staff took a smoke break (even though they were there for less than 2 hours). Did not wash their hands before handling food products. Cooks did not wear hats or hair nets while cooking. Staff drank alcohol while working. YES, I HAVE VIDEO AND PICTURE EVIDENCE. 3. None of the food is actually made by Triple G. It is from M&M meat shops, prepared at their facility and brought to the venue luke warm. They had no shame in pouring their dips straight from the container they BOUGHT from the grocery store, into small containers as were the crackers which were left in their original plastic sleeves. Meat appetizers were not kept in a chafing tray and were below safe temperatures for eating or storing. They were kept in metal foil pans. Did I mention this was for a wedding? AGAIN, I HAVE VIDEO AND PICTURE EVIDENCE. 4. The food is as substandard as their food safety practices. Mediocre would be an aspiration for this company. 5. The "crowing jewel" is the owner, Corrine. I, as well as many others at the wedding, could not have met another person who is in desperate need of a mental health evaluation. I have never met someone who is as mean spirited and just plain nasty as she was. EXTREMELY RUDE to guests. Narcissistic and absolutely the worst personality I have met in any service industry. From what I was told, she was a complete nightmare to deal with. Did I mention this is someone who was welcomed by a very loving family and very kind people who paid for the above service? I cannot tell anyone what to do with their money. But you were warned if you want to use this company for its "service".

We got the spaghetti special (two spaghetti entrees, Caesar salad and garlic bread). Store bought spaghetti with flavorless sauce, brick hard garlic bread with no taste and a sad little salad with some sort of sauce that was definitely not Caesar dressing. Very bland and boring. To top it all off, the woman on the phone when we ordered was awfully curt and rude. How long until the food is delivered? "We'll get it to you when we can...". Yeesh... I will give them this though, their portion sizes are really big. Too bad quantity seems to be valued over quality. For the price and time, I could have made the same meal but vastly better.

Also some of guest had there chicken still raw inside. The food was cold and the vegetables were till hard. When we had the tasting it was amazing nothing what we had at the wedding. She is super sweet but I really hope she learns from this. I ask for a refund but all I got back was for 3 plates. That's including me the bride. Also if you do book be prepared to get 1000 message a day. I was on a budget and she gave me a good price but when I said I wanted a refund she said it's because I was on a budget. So serving raw tough chicken, not cooked veggies and cold food is her meaning of budget. The bottom right picture was was we got for are tasting. Roasted veggies and mouth watering chicken and roast beef that you did not even need a knife to cut. Clearly at the wedding.. it was completely opposite. The more guest I speak to the more they have said they saw blood in the middle of the chicken. Be very aware of how she cooks. I don't want anyone to get sick.
