My first judgement on a company is do they have a website & how easy is it to use. My 2nd judgement is the first interaction with a person and my 3rd is: does what the website say match what the people are giving me. Yes Yes Yes for HomeRite! I still can't get over that it was one guy (Rj) who completed install of 5 windows in 2 days! I'm a super perfectionist so the first thing I looked at was the caulking lines. Smooth & near perfect - be fair.. no one is perfect! We had constant communication with the HomeRite team including Brittani & Jason. They double checked their measurements before install. We had a call on the first day of install asking how it was going. I really felt like we were their only customers. No one gives one on one attention like that anymore! Second day RJ called to let us know he was running behind. He said he expected to be here by 930am and was several minutes earlier than that. It's a delight having our new windows and screens in our home. I can open the windows with one finger, they tilt in for easy cleaning, and the screens are easy to take out as needed. (While on my roof for the initial estimate, Kevin also noticed a seal that was dry rotted and brought that to my attention as something to fix as well which I really appreciated) So we had to replace our gutters. We switched from 5in to 6in. Every step of the process was done promptly and professionally. Every member of the team I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Even after the initial install when I needed one minor correction, I never felt worried that I was being blown off or lesser priority. I was not charged for the service until it was done to my complete satisfaction. Our new gutters are fantastic and look really nice too. And the 10 year warranty makes me feel secure that our investment was worth every penny. I highly recommend giving Joyland a chance for your next roof/gutter issue. I used DePalma to replace the roof, gutters, and downspouts at my house last year. The process was…read moresupposed to take two days - I had assumed two consecutive days but was later told the roof and the metal work would be two different teams and would occur at separate times. Nothing was done correctly. The installation team had trash blowing everywhere including my neighbors' yards. Moreover, there were numerous shingles that were damaged when they were installed and later replaced during follow-up visits. There were so many issues, I questioned going ahead with the gutters and downspouts but was assured the metal team was great. I decided to give DePalma the benefit of the doubt but was let down again because the gutters leaked from day one and the downspouts were installed with the outlets inches from the foundation. I lost track of how many visits DePalma made to "look at" and fix things but I have at least 14 emails back and forth to Amber along with pictures of problems I encountered. Each time someone came to the house, there were nails or screws left in the driveway or on the street. I will say that DePalma was extremely responsive to my emails and requests for follow-up but I don't think the issues I had would have occurred if the teams were professional and conscientious in the work they did. I grimace every time I see one of DePalma's signs saying they're the most trusted roofing company in central PA because I would never recommend them. At the conclusion of this escapade - which lasted from 2023 into 2024 - I received a $500 discount from the total project estimate. I appreciated that but money wasn't the issue. I wanted peace of mind by purchasing a new roof and gutters and got aggravation and uncertainty instead.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this company. From the beginning, I did not feel I was given clear or forthright information. The installation process was especially concerning. The crew that showed up did not appear to be Window Nation employees, and the quality of the work reflected that. My installation took place on a weekend, by a team that had traveled in from another state, and the entire process felt unprofessional and disorganized. When I reached out with concerns--contacting both the Install Manager, Chad, and my Sales Rep, Josh--I never received a return call or email. I also wasn't able to reach anyone local who could help address the issues, which left me feeling completely unsupported. Pro: The windows were cheaper than Anderson. Reality: In my opinion, that "savings" wasn't worth it. The product quality and customer service I received did not meet expectations. By comparison, I've had Anderson install our front and patio doors, and their responsiveness has been excellent--I can still email or call my sales rep and immediately get support.
