    It's Burt

By far the best dive bar around. Strong drinks, locals, good music, great staff. And definitely affordable.

I absolutely love this place. I travel for a living so i find the best places to wine and dine. This bar has kick ass karaoke friendly employees and cheap drinks. Im in federal way 4 or 5 times a year and i always make sure to stop by and get a drink or two and sing a few songs. They always remember me and my bf and are super friendly and easy to talk to. #awesomeness #worththetime #love

We went around 8pm on a Friday because we wanted to grab a bite, a couple drinks, and check out their karaoke scene. We don't sing often (he NEVER sings, I do on occasion) but we love to watch others! Their setup here is pretty solid with a stage and lighting systems and everything! Plus a super large screen for everybody else to be able to read and sing along. Service here was awesome. Both staff members we encountered were super nice and we got all of our stuff quickly when ordered. They have a super solid lineup of drinks on tap and even some decent wines. My husband and I have learned that it's better for us to order one entree and one app, and we just split everything and we always end up decently full and don't waste much! We got an order of their mozzarella sticks and the Sandbar Burger (their take on a smash burger). Everything was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the burger - no frills, just simple and done well. I'm glad that we finally made it in and we'll definitely be back.

They had a solid selection of drinks to choose from and we definitely want to come back to try some of their food - I always see their signs promoting their specials. Brunch would be fun here! Before we took off, Chris also let us check out their private event space upstairs. It's homey, comfy, and would be a great spot to book out for a birthday party or even just a private gathering with friends. You're able to supply a budget to them and they'll figure out a catering game plan based off of your budget which I think is pretty cool. They also do have a small outdoor covered space that has a tv in it so that you can escape for fresh air but not miss anything if you're watching a game. Glad we finally got to check out this cute spot and we'll definitely be back.

We were out celebrating my buddy's birthday today, and started out next door for some smokes and drinks. I had a plan for some choices for his bday dinner, and he opted with Ms. Jane's inside BJ's Casino. First off... this place is very elegant with a fine dining experience. Secondly, Cassandra was absolutely superb!! We all thoroughly had an amazing experience, from the drinks, appetizers, to our entrees, and the service. The Lavender Martini was top notch, and we also ordered the White Mojito. That mojito was crisp and refreshing! Two spectacular cocktails. As for our meals, undeniably unbelievable!! I ordered the 12oz. Ribeye, with Garlic Potatoes and crisp Broccolini. So crisp and a unique almost vinaigrette flavoring, with a subtle spice. As a side, we ordered the Thousand Layer Potato. My first time ever having this, but seen how it was made on a video. Simply divine. My wife ordered the Braised Bison over Polenta, with some Carrots. This is the tastiest Bison we've ever had!! We finished the evening with a Dubai Chocolate Fudge Sunday, and Cassandra gave us each a spoon to share in this decadence. Needless to say, my buddy had an incredible day of celebration! Thank you for this wonderful experience! As always, Enjoy & Happy Birthday, Wazowski!

Turns out it's the former, at least in atmosphere. The service was genuinely lovely from start to finish. The host, server, and table assistants were warm and attentive. No notes there. We went with the ribeye prix fixe, which felt like the obvious call given that Ms. Jane's has built its reputation around it. The menu included a salad, two ribeyes with mashed potatoes and broccoli, and dessert for $150 plus wine. The salad was beautiful and delicious. It just could've used some cheese, and I will die on that hill. The mashed potatoes were legitimately outstanding and nearly redeemed the entire evening on their own. The broccoli was fine. Broccoli is always just fine. Then there were the ribeyes. They were enormous, beautifully presented, and unfortunately not much else. Both cuts had an excessive amount of fat and lacked the depth of flavor you'd expect from a restaurant that's staked its identity on this one dish. We make better steaks at home, which is not something you want to be thinking about after dropping $150 before wine. Dessert closed things out on a high note. A chocolate and vanilla mousse topped with genuinely delicate whipped cream. In the moment we told ourselves we'd come back and try something else. A few days of reflection later, that enthusiasm cooled but it didn't disappear entirely. The service was too good, the mashed potatoes too memorable, and the mousse too solid to write the place off completely. Ms. Jane's clearly has something going on. We just hope the ribeye isn't the thing they're most proud of.

Pizza is decent here, I'd come back again. Fries are good and chicken tenders/wings are typical bar grub. Beers are relatively low priced, I think it was about $4 for a draft coors light. I ordered the $21 meat lovers omelette, and I was honestly surprised by what was served. For that price point, I expected a substantial, well executed dish. Instead, the omelette was relatively small, the sausage and ham inside were cold, and the eggs were cooked to the point that they resembled an overdone scramble more than a folded omelette. At that price, that felt difficult to justify. Additionally, there was no pricing listed on the menu for a side of bacon. Being charged $7 for 4 pieces of thin bacon without any prior indication of cost felt uncomfortable and unexpected. Transparency in pricing matters, especially at those rates. My wife ordered a scramble, and unfortunately, it was presented as an open faced mound of eggs placed on top of meat, cheese, and what were labeled as home fries. The potatoes were deep fried and did not resemble home fries in texture or preparation. Presentation aside, the overall execution did not reflect the quality we anticipated. I say all of this respectfully, but firmly: based on this experience, there is not a realistic possibility that we would return. When a restaurant displays a food rating publicly, customers naturally assume a certain standard. After our breakfast this morning, I can understand how that rating may have been earned. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit it's intended. We believe restaurants deserve the opportunity to hear honest experiences directly. Wishing you the best moving forward.

The service itself was great, specifically, Grace. She did all she could to make the situation right. She's awesome! For a casual spot. The food was average bar fare.. That's not a bad thing, it's a bar after all! However, the Happy Hour menu felt like a bait-and-switch. I ordered the $7.50 Happy Hour burger, which did not include fries, so I added a small basket. The bill revealed a surprise: the basic, unremarkable fries (likely frozen) cost $8.00. This pricing strategy completely negates the value of the "special." Had I known, I would have skipped the happy hour menu entirely and ordered from the regular selection for a better meal and greater choice. While our server was friendly and understanding when I brought it up, there was nothing she could do. I do not blame the staff, but due to this deceptive pricing, unfortunately,I will not likely be returning. The only reason I would is because Grace was so helpful and kind. Her parents named her aptly! But, with that said, I think I'll take my business somewhere where ownership respects their customers a little more.

At 30 minutes, we inquired what was taking so long and they said that they had multiple to go orders that came in. So clearly they had prioritized the to go orders and not the folks that were in the restaurant. When the food finally came it was BARELY warm. The beef patties, the fries. All cold. The waiter was apathetic, at best. And the waitress tried to tell us that she saw the food come off the grill and that it only took 30 min for the order. She offered us a discount but we said we were not complaining for a discount. We just wanted our dinner to be hot. She was pretty sassy and rude. I told her instead of a discount just do better next time I then heard her yell at the kitchen, "DO BETER". So incredibly unprofessional. We don't think it was the kitchens fault. Our waiter sat at the end of the bar doing nothing for quite a while. However, having food sit that long under a heat lamp, the kitchen should have noticed and said something. If I owned or manage this place, I would want to know about this bad, unprofessional, unbecoming behavior of my employees. They should all be embarrassed. And to top it all off, our family was visiting from out of town. We talked up the burgers all day as we've always enjoyed them. Tonight was terrible. We paid $135 for a cold, crappy meal and the waiter and waitress did not accept accountability for any of it. We will not be going back
