Fuel perks add up quickly for commuters like me. It ends up really helping my budget. Winn Dixie store brand items are of good quality. You can save a bit and still enjoy a quality product over name brand. The only item I'm not fond of is their salsa. If you read or care about any part of my review then read and heed this. This store does a poor job of policing outdated produce/products/meats etc especially seafood. I consistently find expiring grocery items every time I shop here. Check expiration dates! If it looks like a thunderstorm don't park in the middle of the lot. The drain can't handle all the water and you will have to walk through 2" of water to get into your car. Firsthand experience. Let's try this by department: Produce - Pretty good, usually a good selection that is relatively fresh. Watch dates on name brands closely for expiration. Beer/Wine - Really Good. All the domestics and lots of specialties and trendy IPA's. Competitive pricing. Really good wine selection considering the location. Deli - Hit and Miss. I've seen rotisserie chickens so tired from a heat lamp they resembled 80 year old retirees in Naples that never leave the beach. Super brown saggin' and baggin' baby. Some of the salads/specialties/meats look old on occasion too. The fried bar is usually up to date and good. They have many different flavors of fried chicken wings and they are usually really good. Seafood - The fresh is a risk here. I've purchased bad salmon and flounder that had expiration dates 7 days later. Just do your self a favor and buy frozen. I won't buy fresh seafood here anymore. Meat and Poultry - Pretty Good. I've found some nice steaks, great chicken, roasts, etc. Dairy - Well Done. Milk/Eggs/Cheese great selections and generally fresh. General Grocery - A-OK. The shelves are well stocked with the usual items that you need in boxes/cans/etc. Frozen Foods - Really Nice. There's a broad selection of most everything. I find great BOGO deals frequently in frozen. Specialty Foods - Fair. Mexican aisle has good selections, Asian foods needs more selections. Kosher is near non-existent compared to others. Bakery - Good. Catching the Italian bread right after it comes out is a win. Other breads/cakes/muffins/doughnuts are good too. Watch expiration dates. Liquor Store - Excellent. Embarrassing to admit but I know most employees here on a first name basis. They are kind, helpful, and keep the place well stocked. They also help you find deals and specials run by the distributors. I typically save 2 to 5 dollars per visit shopping here vs. other stores. Pharmacy - Really Good. Scripts are filled quickly and the staff is helpful and courteous. Courtesy Desk - Very Good. Like anyplace else, it moves like greased lightning until the idiot who can't decide what lottery scratch off tickets they want to purchase gets in front of you. To compare I usually shop at Trader Joe's and sometimes Publix, Publix is only when I'm grabbing a few things since we all know it's expensive. Comparable in prices to Trader Joe's but still overall cheaper and I appreciate that. The customer service is okay, and I wouldn't go further than that, you aren't greeted, you can't really find anyone for questions, and there's at max one person in working a register with all other registers being self check out. The store was very clean and everything was pretty easy to find. Super cheap wine options, hopefully they don't taste as cheap as they are lol. Overall, I'd say this is an amazing store for families, it won't break the bank. however, I'll likely end up going to both Trader Joe's getting only some things at Aldi in the future since you just can't beat Trader Joe's creative cultural options and super friendly customer service.

Why? Why do I torture myself by going to Walmart? I remember! It's because our Target is half the…read moresize of regular Targets so I don't really have much choice. This Walmart has issues. Again, I go back to associates doing the bare minimum because they get treated like crap by managers who probably also get treated like crap, etc. The last time I was in here it was around shift change. I assume this because several staff members were hanging out (hiding) in the clothing area by the changing rooms. It was around 9 pm, and if memory serves, shift change is at 10 pm. These three were not going anywhere for the next hour unless they absolutely had to. Most times I've been in the deli has been closed - usually at weird hours like during the day or in the evening. I haven't really looked for deli hours sign but it always seems weird that both the deli and the bakery seem closed during business hours or just after business hours. I don't fear for my life going to this Walmart, it's the one I prefer to go to if I absolutely have to go to Walmart. But they have a lot of issues. I purchased items online to be picked up that day in the store. I chose that store on the website and only chose items from my list that the website said were in stock in that store. Paid and waited for a confirmation email. I never got an email saying that the order was ready to be picked up. I never got an email saying that 75% of the items I ordered were not actually in the store that day even though the website clearly stated that they were. I ended up making two trips to Walmart and several phone calls with various managers about this ridiculous problem. If your website says store pick up today, the items should be in stock in the store. That's all there is to it. I think this is a problem that Walmart is going to have. They want to be Amazon but they can't be Amazon and have customers and have stock numbers be inconsistent between the website, corporate, and the store. This was an issue back when I worked for Wally World and it obviously remains an issue. This store is cleaner and better stocked but again the veg and fruits look like they fell off the truck before being put on display and such sad displays they are. I've purchased a couple of bakery items and have gotten very sick after eating each. There are rarely more than 2 registers open at any given time. They do have self-serve but I'm not getting paid to check myself out. When self-serve is open I'll go there just so I don't have to wait in line forever. Walmart is the worst.
