The Spinning Jenny - Symphony concert.

Stopped by The Spinning Jenny on whim while camping in the area over the weekend with some friends…read more The facility was dog friendly, allowing pets to sit on the patio, which is always a plus for me! The studio has a great variety of wine to choose from and wine tasting are reasonably priced. We all sampled a variety of wines and all agreed the Viognier was are all around favorite of the day! We ended up buying 2 bottles to bring back to camp with us! The owners were also very friendly and elevated the experience even higher! Definitely recommend a stop by for anyone in the area.

That was a waste of space and seating. Bar had a good selection of wine and beer, and the server was attentive. The bad...this was a show with 3 acts, the best and most popular for last. We sat through the first two and were excited for the third and that's when the disappointment hit. Seems that the third act and sound man were disagreeing over the set sound. As some one who has worked in the field and worked a sound board, I'm really putting the blame on the sound guy that couldn't handle it. I understand musicians are cocky and want things a certain way, but don't work with creatives if you can't handle it. The sound guy pissed the singer off, turned all the lights on bright, and essentially caused it all to end early. Sorry, we pay money for the act, not an event employee to have a fit. The audience was confused and after speaking to several other attendees after, they too were confused and disappointed. Some had driven from Charlotte and Asheville for this concert. As others have mentioned people will stand right in front of you even if your sitting. Make a standing area in the back. Being handicapped, I'm also surprised that they let a food truck use the handicapped designated spaces near the entrance. Seriously considering not going back and skipping any more shows here. I love supporting local, but don't appreciate how their artist conflict was handled.

The contact at Swanson's was easy to work with. The event was affordable and casual yet intimate. We picked the caterer. We hosted this event on December 30th so the colorful string lights felt perfectly festive! And the signs of Greenville's past covering the walls were fun for the Greenville natives--it took them back! (Photographer: Julia Madden Sears)

There is canned beer of varying prices (starting with some $1 beer, including the classic PBR) up to fancier craft beer ($3, $5, or $7) and you can pay with a card. They don't have food but their very salty popcorn is free. Inside, walls are covered in "vintage" local signs, making for some good conversation pieces. There are a couple booths on the wall, but it's mostly standing room unless you borrow a camping chair. Outside it looks liike to you're walking into a garage, but it does look like they have parking (wish I saw it before paying at the lot around the corner. It's a cute, simple little venue, and the band we saw was fantastic! I'd come back dependIng on the band.

The venue was perfect in terms of its layout and space. An ideal place that ensures coziness of everyone. The layout consists of a main hall with a deck and another space for the reception. The deck was a perfect idea for the bride to walk down the stairs and into the aisle. The main hall was small, but it was enough to fit about 150 people with room for other stuff. The side room was turned into the reception with arranged tables. I loved the high ceilings and the bricked and stained decors. It was a warehouse feel indeed, but a newly renovated one. The bathroom locations were convenient and so was accessibility in the entire venue. It is beautiful and perfect not just for weddings, but any special occasion.

I never would have known that they had so much space to offer if it wasn't for this event. I was pleased to see all of the extra thought that went into their first impression event: trusted local vendor displays and tastings, high ceilings with vintage lighting, instant quote iPads throughout, an all-inclusive price plan, and friendly event staff. Had I moved to Greenville before my wedding, I definitely would have planned for everything here!
