Even the most basic obstacles are at least a story off the ground so know that going in. My 8-year-old thought it was such fun but I must say some of the balance obstacles w no edge got me spooked. You cannot pass ppl in front of you so watch who is ahead of you. If slow and scared, be prepared to hold on an obstacle.

From the minute you walk in the door you're taken care of by the amazing team. Everyone was kind and patient with the younger members of our group. The course was awesome. Welcome to Duck Town Park and Boardwalk in lovely Duck, NC. It's a real family and entertainment destination with an amphitheater, picnic shelter, and playground. Without question, the boardwalk and piers are the centerpiece of the property, measuring over 4,000 feet long and ten feet wide. You can take some beautiful photos of the boardwalk hovering over the water or silhouetted against the sky. The scenery along the boardwalk is gorgeous with pretty views of the Sound, sand dunes, fallen trees, and seagrass. We saw plenty of people taking advantage of the beautiful weather and simply strolling along the boardwalk or ducking into stores, bars, and restaurants, or relaxing on one of the twenty-one benches. You have to keep at least 50 feet away from the horses and are not allowed to feed them. We drove around for a bit, admiring the wild horses and the beautiful homes in the area and then we set up our beach gear to enjoy the beautiful day. We brought a picnic lunch and had a great time. This is by far my favorite beach in NC.

She never knew it existed, so we of course had to make an impromptu stop! Like others have mentioned it's free and even if the Aviation Museum is closed you can still visit Jerrasic Park because it's right outside the gates. It's called Jerrasic Park after the owner Jerry (Gerald) Yagen, an aviation pilot. He started aviation schools that are the world's largest trainer of FAA licensed aircraft technicians with schools coast to coast. Those campuses are under the names Centura College and Aviation Institute of Maintenance. He is also the owner/founder of the Aviation Museum, which are his own personal collection of WW I & II planes. The metal dinosaurs were created by the artist Gilbert Ramos. The creato of many popular custom outdoor metal sculptures and garden art in Southern California. He has been creating his unique sculptures since 1997. *It's a small free park with metal sculpture dinosaurs. It's cool to check out and take fun pics with the dinos. If you go online or visit the Aviation Museum, they used to do a scavenger hunt where if you find the items you can take your sheet to the front desk of the Aviation for a little prize. Not sure if they still do that. It worth checking out if you're over in Pungo but I would not make a trip out just for the park. It will easily take you 15 minutes to go through. There is a little area in the trees across the street to park.

It's not really a parking lot, but a small area in the grass. It's in front of the Military Aviation Museum. It doesn't cost anything to enter the dinosaur park, which is great. We got out a there were several different dinosaur displays. We took advantage of this kid friendly freebie and took lots of pics. The grounds weren't really taken care of. So it was grass and weeds growing around some of the displays. Now that it's cold I'm fine, but if it were summer I'd be terrified of seeing a snake, because there are bushes everywhere. So hopefully during warmer seasons they maintain the area a little better. But I still enjoyed it. There's also a pond also, which was nice!! Just a quick fun little adventure!! Check them out!!

The dog park is big and is separated into two (2) section, a large and small section, perhaps for larger and smaller dogs? The entire dog park is perhaps the same size of a half a football field? Large. There are water bowls and a trash can but we did found dog waste in the park, not picked up by their owners which is unfortunate. But overall is it was nice. I would say about 2/3 of the park is sand and 1/3 grass. I would return to take my dog here.
