I've never had ramen in the Philippines, but the opportunity came up when FamBam and I decided to…read moresnack. Well... we just happen to be walking by this place when that came up. Knowing I'm probably not gonna have another chance to have ramen anywhere else during this vackay, it was no question we were gonna make a stop. I went for the miso ramen. Uncle went for the tonkotsu ramen. Big Bro and cousin decided they each wanted the 5-piece shrimp tempura. Service was pretty fast considering there were only 4 other tables being serviced. Needless to say, the bowls both came out quickly. My bowl wasn't impressive, even at the least. It barely hinted the aroma of miso, so I really didn't get any taste of it. There was nothing authentic about it, it was almost as if they just boiled water then added salt and miso powder before serving. It needs some serious work. Uncle said he liked his tonkotsu. I didn't bother tasting it since I was disappointed enough with the miso bowl. And I don't know how to get started on the shrimp tempura. (See attached picture.) There was no comparison to the picture they were advertising on their menu and what we got. It was quite a mess - the shrimp got lost in a forest of cooked tempura flour. I would score a zero on presentation for this dish. Big Bro and cousins said it was "okay." I know, maybe I'm being unfair since my palate is not one with the masses in this here area. But there's potential here - if they care just a little bit more, it will show and will make a difference with their food quality wise. Although the service was good, and unless they make better changes, I'm not sure I'd come back.

The longest time I've waited for the food to be served wouldn't even reach 10min. Amazing! Kudos to one of their sushi chefs who always turns my sushi order to something cute. Which I love.

The interior was gorgeous, quiet&cozy, and a welcoming cold temperature-wise, as there was AirCon. Immediately upon arrival, the host greeted and sat us at a comfortable booth. We were served water and given beautifully-designed plates. The staff were patient while we read over the menu, and assisted us when we were ready :) They answered questions we had about specific dishes, and even informed us that certain sections were sharing-sizes Their menu was quite extensive, with many options of appetizers, ramen, noodles, sushi, sukiyaki, hotpot, and tempura. I ordered the beef sukiyaki while my bf had the volcano maki roll. The broth of the sukiyaki bowl was rich and savory, and it came with so much beef! The sushi rolls were quite large with a good ratio of rice to salmon (my bf isn't 100% sure what type of fish it was). We also got the vegetable salad and the radish salad on the side. The vegetable salad was larger than anticipated, and accompanied by an addicting peanut dressing. The radishes were refreshing and coated by crispy fish flakes. Everything was so delicious, and the portions were extremely filling; we got through half of our meals before we had to ask for to-go boxes.

This time the visit was with my parents, my brother, my husband and me. We were served with delicious complimentary tofu with a great-tasting sauce. My brother ordered the aji tataki for us to start off and it's been a while since I've had this. Beautifully done and very tasty! My brother got the chirashi bowl. My husband and I shared the Gindara kaku bento - grilled cod fish, salad, salmon and tuna sashimi, tempura, miso soup with clams and mango ice cream. For dessert, fruits was the other option. My brother also ordered several chawanmushi for us to share. My parents shared the Nigiri kaku bento. There was so much food. The one down side was the fish in my parents' bento box was a bit tough, unlike the gindara that we had. I would probably recommend the Gindara kaku bento between the 2 bento boxes. We also had this soup that came in a small teapot. I had missed jotting down the name but you drink the soup from a miniature teacup. Glad we didn't order more food because there was already lots of food! Highly recommend!
