We called Hirko's Tree Service based on the reviews of our fellow Yelpers, and we were not disappointed. After calling to request an estimate, Mr. Hirko made an appointment for the following day. About one hour before the appointment, Mr. Hirko texted me to advise he was running late for the appointment. Understandable as he is running a business and things happen unexpectedly. So, we set up another time, and Mr. Hirko texted me when he was on the way, and he arrived as promised. We certainly appreciated the text updates. Mr. Hirko checked out the work we wanted done and prepared an estimate before leaving. The estimate seemed reasonable for the removal of a large maple and birch tree, stump grinding and pruning a cherry tree. Afterwards, I texted Mr. Hirko on a Friday to request his services and he scheduled the work for Monday morning! On the scheduled date and time, Mr. Hirko arrived on time with several trucks and crew. He went over the work that would be completed, along with a timeline. The crew members were friendly, and worked hard to stay on Mr. Hirko's timeline. At completion, the crew finished ahead of schedule, cleaned up all the debris and Mr. Hirko walked the property with us to ensure we were satisfied with his work. We will definitely recommend and use Hirko's Tree Service in the future. read more

I had four huge trees in my backyard. They created an eclipse of shade over my entire backyard, moss started growing on the back of the roof, pine needles made brown spots where the grass wouldn't grow, and there was always tons of leaf cleanup for me to perform in the fall. So I finally decided to fix it and got quotes from three different nearby tree services. Immediately Hirko stood out with the best blend of great pricing, professionalism, and in the end, super quality workmanship. Hirko successfully removed the four huge trees, which they had to lift over the roof of my house via a massive crane. They were very careful not to damage the house. They removed all the debris, and they left my yard clean. I was so happy with their service that I followed up by asking them to grind down the leftover stumps. They also performed this task with great results and ended up charging me less than their initial estimate for that. Dave Hirko is simply a great guy. He offers fair pricing, does exactly what he says he'll do and even goes beyond, establishes great communication throughout the process, and runs with a fantastic crew. Working with Hirko was a very enjoyable process. I highly recommend Hirko's Tree Service! read more

I cannot recommend Hirko's tree service highly enough. We contacted them after being told by a satellite representative that our lack of satellite service was being caused by tree limbs blocking the signal. He suggested a few limbs to be removed and we contacted Mr. Hirko's tree service. He arrived promptly and went to work straight away. The site was left immaculate, and we thought we were all set. We were still getting very patchy satellite service, so we called our tv service tech again. He arrived with this little machine which showed the branches that needed to be removed. Again we called Hirko's to come and help us. We explained to Dave what was going on, and they set to work right away again. He did this additional service with no cost to us, saying "I want you to be happy with our service." And we are happy, very happy, and you will be, too, if you hire Hirko's. Highly recommended!!! read more

I purchased my parent's home "inheriting" the biggest pine tree you can imagine; 250 ft tall,4 trees in one with a base width ~15 ft. After serious limbs fell this winter I felt my parents had played russian roulette nature vs roof and bay window 50 years to long. Home Advisor sent a service out quoting $7500-$8000. I called Hirko. His wife couldn't have been more pleasant. Dave quoted me $3500, $1000 for the stump. Seeing the other quote he was upset not only at the price but that someone would take advantage like that. A testament to an honest man! The tree came down without a hitch, not touching a single wire and needing 2 streets to drop it. The crane operator and crew were amazing. Need a tree down? Trust me, Hirko is your Go To. read more

We've had tree work done twice by Dave and his stellar team in the past. This time we found our cat in a tree after she had been missing for 5 days. I called multiple fire departments and tree companies looking for a climber who could do the rescue to no avail. Dave put calls out to Hector to assess and Tim the climber (Timmy!!!!) and kept in immediate contact with me as he lined his crew up foe the rescue. Hector and Tim showed up on a Sunday morning on their day off and our cat was on the ground and in the house in under a half hour. We are so full of gratitude for this reliable and caring crew. 10/10 recommend going with Hirko for tree services. The above and beyond high tree animal rescue is icing on the cake. read more

We highly recommend Dave and his crew at Hirko's Tree Service! Definitely a top-notch company! We have never had trees cut down before, so we were new to it all. At his initial visit to provide an estimate, Dave was super informative, professional and accommodating. He's such a down-to-earth guy; he made us feel very comfortable about our options and was ready to put a plan in place for whatever we decided. The day of the job, the crew came and cut down 4 trees (dropped, chopped and cleared the brush) in just over 3 hours, which I thought was very impressive! Dave's a great guy, has a great crew and runs a great company. We're certainly sticking with Hirko for all of our tree service needs! read more

From the beginning to the end of the process, Dave Hirko was a consummate professional. He came out on time and gave us a very fair estimate for the work that we wanted completed with the promise to take care of one more tree if his team had time. Dave kept in touch with us about when he would be there to do the work. He actual made suggestions to us on how we could save money on the job. His crew showed up on time and were very professional going about there work. They took great care to not disturb the lawn or the plantings in the yard. In the end they had the time and actually removed one more tree at no extra charge. We would highly recommend Dave Hirko if you need any trees removed. read more

Hirko's Tree Service was fast and efficient. The team took down a large tree in my front yard that had been dying from the top down for many years. They tried just trimming off the dead top branches the year before (at my request) to try and save the tree. The tree unfortunately did not come back, so the whole tree had to come down. The team arrived on time and had the whole tree down and cleaned up before I even got home from work! They left the yard in great condition and cleaned up after themselves. Definitely recommend! read more

John R. Very impressed with the whole way Dave and his team conduct business. Was up front with what he would do, put it in writing , and stood by his word. They were there at the agreed time to start. Always made me aware of what they were doing and why. THEY WORK VERY PROFESSIONALLY AND HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. They treat you like family and not just a customer. One of the first times I felt it was money well spent because of their work ethic.Would recommend them VERY HIGHLY. I'd add a sixth star if this review page allowed it. Great service, showed up on time, did what they said they would do, offered great advice, agreed to a price and delivered. Clean up was meticulous. Crew very cordial and professional and actually did a little extra clean up which wasn't part of quote. From first call to final review of job completion Dave was very helpful and thorough. Would recommend to anyone who has a need for tree removal. Rare find in the home maintenance / contractor sector. read more

Dave and his team removed 10 tall pine trees in close proximity to my house in November. Dave was present throughout the whole process, and made sure that everything was done carefully and well. He also arranged for a subcontractor to grind the stumps down as well. Dave managed the whole project amazingly well. He was clearly in control of all facets of the effort and ensured high quality. He patiently answered my many questions throughout the process. I could not be happier with the result! read more

This is the first time I have needed to use a tree service as a new home owner. Dave and his team at Hirko's are spot on. I was not able to be at home while they were performing a large job. Many things could have gone wrong, and they could have easily charged me for more time... BUT they were honest, and got the job done within the estimated time. Absolutely happy with their work, and the experience. If you are in need of tree work I highly recommend Hirko's Tree Service. read more

Susan R., Nashua On this Thanksgiving Eve, I'm especially thankful that Dave Hirko decided to found Hirko's Tree Service. I could go on and on about his crew, headed by Hector, and the magic they performed and left the yard spotless, but words seem inadequate. I can only strongly recommend Hirko's . The work, and the kindness toward a couple of overwhelmed octogenarians, was above and beyond. Dave and his crew will always be on our thankful list. read more

This is the company you want to remove your tree. I had a very large oak removed from my back yard. The removal required a 100 ton crane (Granite State Crane) as they had to pick and lift the tree over my house, branch by branch. Dave and his staff worked very well and efficient as a team. In addition to a very impressive job of removing the tree, they cleaned all areas from my deck, yard, to the neighbors property. Grateful for a job well done. read more

Dave and his guys showed up on time last weekend to take down some trees that were by the house. These were 80-100 foot trees ! They came in with their boom truck and chipper and made quick work of it . Everyone was professional and extremely careful with the placement of the branches and the trees. We were given a fair quote and there was a quick turn around. I would highly recommend Hirko Tree Service for any of your tree trimming/ removal. read more
