We called Hirko's Tree Service based on the reviews of our fellow Yelpers, and we were not disappointed. After calling to request an estimate, Mr. Hirko made an appointment for the following day. About one hour before the appointment, Mr. Hirko texted me to advise he was running late for the appointment. Understandable as he is running a business and things happen unexpectedly. So, we set up another time, and Mr. Hirko texted me when he was on the way, and he arrived as promised. We certainly appreciated the text updates. Mr. Hirko checked out the work we wanted done and prepared an estimate before leaving. The estimate seemed reasonable for the removal of a large maple and birch tree, stump grinding and pruning a cherry tree. Afterwards, I texted Mr. Hirko on a Friday to request his services and he scheduled the work for Monday morning! On the scheduled date and time, Mr. Hirko arrived on time with several trucks and crew. He went over the work that would be completed, along with a timeline. The crew members were friendly, and worked hard to stay on Mr. Hirko's timeline. At completion, the crew finished ahead of schedule, cleaned up all the debris and Mr. Hirko walked the property with us to ensure we were satisfied with his work. I had four huge trees in my backyard. They created an eclipse of shade over my entire backyard, moss started growing on the back of the roof, pine needles made brown spots where the grass wouldn't grow, and there was always tons of leaf cleanup for me to perform in the fall. So I finally decided to fix it and got quotes from three different nearby tree services. Immediately Hirko stood out with the best blend of great pricing, professionalism, and in the end, super quality workmanship. Hirko successfully removed the four huge trees, which they had to lift over the roof of my house via a massive crane. They were very careful not to damage the house. They removed all the debris, and they left my yard clean. I was so happy with their service that I followed up by asking them to grind down the leftover stumps. They also performed this task with great results and ended up charging me less than their initial estimate for that. Dave Hirko is simply a great guy. He offers fair pricing, does exactly what he says he'll do and even goes beyond, establishes great communication throughout the process, and runs with a fantastic crew. I really can't say enough about Dave and his team. We recently needed to take down about 14 or 15 trees in our yard and were anxious to do so quickly. Dave provided us an extremely reasonable quote when he came to do the estimate and it didn't take long for us to decide to go with Hirko even though he told us that he was scheduling out further than we originally were hoping to have the job done. When we called him to make appointment he was able to fit us into his schedule much sooner. When the day of our appointment came his crew was right on time. Within the first 15 minutes they already had the first small tree down and in the chipper. Later in the day when a couple of the guys had to leave because they weren't feeling well Dave jumped right in to take their place to ensure the job was finished timely for us. When all was said and done they managed to remove about 15 trees, trim another, clear out a good amount of shrubs and clean up the scraps in just one day. All in all I would highly recommend Hirko. I cannot recommend Hirko's tree service highly enough. We contacted them after being told by a satellite representative that our lack of satellite service was being caused by tree limbs blocking the signal. He suggested a few limbs to be removed and we contacted Mr. Hirko's tree service. He arrived promptly and went to work straight away. The site was left immaculate, and we thought we were all set. We were still getting very patchy satellite service, so we called our tv service tech again. He arrived with this little machine which showed the branches that needed to be removed. Again we called Hirko's to come and help us. We explained to Dave what was going on, and they set to work right away again. He did this additional service with no cost to us, saying "I want you to be happy with our service." And we are happy, very happy, and you will be, too, if you hire Hirko's. I purchased my parent's home "inheriting" the biggest pine tree you can imagine; 250 ft tall,4 trees in one with a base width ~15 ft. After serious limbs fell this winter I felt my parents had played russian roulette nature vs roof and bay window 50 years to long. Home Advisor sent a service out quoting $7500-$8000. I called Hirko. His wife couldn't have been more pleasant. Dave quoted me $3500, $1000 for the stump. Seeing the other quote he was upset not only at the price but that someone would take advantage like that. We've had tree work done twice by Dave and his stellar team in the past. This time we found our cat in a tree after she had been missing for 5 days. I called multiple fire departments and tree companies looking for a climber who could do the rescue to no avail. Dave put calls out to Hector to assess and Tim the climber (Timmy!!!!) and kept in immediate contact with me as he lined his crew up foe the rescue. Hector and Tim showed up on a Sunday morning on their day off and our cat was on the ground and in the house in under a half hour. He came out on time and gave us a very fair estimate for the work that we wanted completed with the promise to take care of one more tree if his team had time. Hirko's Tree Service was fast and efficient. The team took down a large tree in my front yard that had been dying from the top down for many years. They tried just trimming off the dead top branches the year before (at my request) to try and save the tree. The tree unfortunately did not come back, so the whole tree had to come down. The team arrived on time and had the whole tree down and cleaned up before I even got home from work! They left the yard in great condition and cleaned up after themselves. Dave and his team removed 10 tall pine trees in close proximity to my house in November. Dave was present throughout the whole process, and made sure that everything was done carefully and well. This is the company you want to remove your tree. I had a very large oak removed from my back yard. The removal required a 100 ton crane (Granite State Crane) as they had to pick and lift the tree over my house, branch by branch. Dave and his staff worked very well and efficient as a team.
