Called in an order today the person who took the order didn't get it right they shorted us a salad and then refused to provide another without charging, I didn't get the other salad and will not ever go back if you make a mistake make it right, they lost a customer over a 3 dollar salad. The service was great, very nice and friendly. However, drove far to get this abomination of a pizza. We have had all kinds of pizza with different kinds of crust and would have to say this was the worst we have ever tasted. It was almost like a unsalted saltine cracker crust. When we ordered they were out of pepperoni at 4pm. Not sure how a pizza place runs out of pepperoni?! It is overly priced for what you receive. I feel bad leaving a bad review at a small town pizza chain but $32 for a "Giant" pizza is pretty ridiculous, so here goes: Crust is legit expired MREs from Russia, or a mix of saltine crackers and cardboard? Absolutely horrible crust. I think the people saying it's amazing crust, probably have never tried any other pizza! Mushrooms slimy and pretty sketchy. Almost no pizza sauce either, so it was very dry and crumbly. Blows my mind how much people love it though I think these people are getting free pizza to leave a good review. I came here with some friends from work for lunch... I'll never be back. It took an obscene amount of time to get our food. I had a mini chicken pizza. The crust was hard enough to chip a tooth, the sauce tasted like a tin can, the chicken tasted freezer burnt. I would rather have cheap gas station pizza than eat this crap again. This is the best pizza I have ever had. They have gluten free options and the service is great! I always eat here when I am in Buffalo. The tacos and enchiladas are so tasty and everything is so good it is hard to choose from their big selection. Nothing is fried. I can't wait to do back! read more

Having grown up in the area, I've visited this place every now and again. The pizzas are somewhat lackluster; the crust tastes and crumbles like crackers. If you want something good from here, I recommend ordering some of the Mexican cuisine, a salad, or a sandwich. The sandwiches are delicious and toasted, and you're guaranteed to be surprised by the size of the Nacho Supreme. However, this place is pretty expensive, no matter what you order. Even so, Hip Pocket Pizza has a nice, calm atmosphere; it feels more like a home than a restaurant. read more

Just had a ham and cheese sandwich. It was good but didn't knock my socks off.. came with chips and s pickle. Wish the chips were homemade but that's cool. Got a large pizza to go. I've never been overly-fond of this place. Having grown up in the area, I did find myself going every now-and-then. Then again, I worked really close to it for awhile, so it was convenient for dinner. I don't really care for their pizza, I'm actually partial to the Pizza Hut down the road. As for their Mexican food, it's not at all authentic, but it is decent and cheap. If you're looking for a local place, then hit up Hip Pocket, otherwise just go to Pizza Hut. read more

I grew up in Buffalo and this place ALWAYS gets a visit when I return to town. The Pizza is one of a kind. I have never had anything like it. I order mine with extra cheese and get pepperoni, black olives and fresh jalapeños. The pizza is absolutely incredible. I love it! They also have good Mexican plates also. MUST TRY!!! read more

Was really excited to try their pizza, after reading several reviews on Google. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment on so many levels. First, the size for the price - really? We got a large supreme for $23, which you'd think would be thick and big and dripping with melted cheese, and loaded with toppings, but no. More like a medium, it had a few pieces of sausage, a little more pepperoni, a few mushrooms and other veggies, but not a lot of anything. The crust was absolutely horrible! Like cardboard really... flat, flavorless - reminded me of Naan... and the worst part - there was a piece of bone in the pizza too. SO GLAD I didn't chip or break a tooth on that! It's really disappointing that you can't find a good, authentic pizza between Fair Grove and Buffalo. I hate to say this, but the $6 grocery store frozen pizzas actually have more flavor and stuff. The pizza at Hip Pocket is what earns it four stars. It's a bit much to say I'm a fan, however, because car loans cost less than the pizza here. The crust on their traditional thin-crust pizza is a cracker-style (as opposed to pretzel-dough or bread-dough style), and it is a saltier style, but still quite tasty. The toppings are very fresh, or at least they taste that way, and it is hard to trick my taster. I do not eat their Mexican food, and I would never advise going to a pizza place for Mexican food, just as I'd never advise getting pizza at a barbecue joint. If you are flush with cash, this is the best pizza in town. If not, stay at home and make a pizza, because Pizza Hut is no good and the gas stations are worse. I await the day that Casey's returns to Buffalo. read more

LOVE this place! They make their own crust! Why would you go to a chain restaurant that uses par cooked crust when you can have this? Pepperoni pizza is delish! Love the sub sandwich too.
